love iiit, cant get enough of people talking about one of my fave movies of all time. Even as kid, seeing it randomly on tv with a bad dub of my coutry, it caught my attention, since then the movie grows with me and as I got more into cinematography with age, the love for Megamind stays.
It's interesting because Megamind as a story was originally written as a young adult film rather than for kids, and I think that's why the plot was so mature underneath the jokes and why it never really babied its audience/reached for low hanging fruit
Megamind is a good movie. I like it when the villain , Megamind (actually a hero/main protagonist of the movie) said " it's Mindin time" and to proceed to Mind all over the place. As Hal Stewart ;The villain that Megamind created/experimented to be the hero to fight him; try to destroy the half of the universe to impress Roxanne Ritchi (female lead/love interest) Megamind process to say the iconic line to Roxxane before he sacrificed himself. *I meg you 3000* Because of the sacrifice, Metromind (The OG hero that fights him usually) came out of retirement and decided to continue on being a hero.

It could very well be the reason why it didn't do as well as Despicable Me, which was written and produced entirely with kids in mind
@CalicoRocket445 true but another reason I like megamind more is because when kids get older they can appreciate it more
