Bro I remember I got jumped in front of the towers 😂, only memory I have but It made me realize at a young age life isn’t easy. I passed by there in 2015 and it looked nice. Good video btw
That’s definitely a story to remember lol. But glad you think it’s nice now. Definitely much safer when Regina King announced award winners at the NAACP Awards last weekend lol
Same here. I actually saw them for the first time when I shot this video. I’ve heard about them, but never actually went down to see them. But it puts the entire history into perspective.
The ending fight scene in Ricochet (1991) was filmed at Watts Towers. Although I'm still trying to do comparisons between the towers then and now. Also (spoiler alert) looking out for the spike Blake gets impaled onto.

I went there while visiting my son in 2009. Seriously one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Would love to go back someday.
Thanks
Pretty cool. I live close by to the watts towers. Did know much of its history.
Simon Rodia should be in the advertisement for Apple, "Here's to the rebels . . . "
Man when I was a kid this was in some book at school I read about it I luvit now im 58
I am glad the towers still stands!!
Definitely! It’s great to see they’ve been maintained for over 7 decades!
Interesting. Definitely iconic.
Never seen them before despite my family having deep LA roots since the 40s.

I wonder if Simon and Grandma Prisbrey ever hooked up...
Sad what has happened to Bottle Village.
Fun fact, these towers are in gta 5
It’s really neat seeing them in game!
Jefferson towers in GTA San Andreas are based on the Watts towers aswell.
Noah told me he worked on the Watts Towers, and if this is true, why isn't he mentioned?
