Thank you, Striperman! I really appreciate that. I spent a lot of time on this one and I’m proud of the outcome. I’m pumped to see your lawn transformation! Can’t wait.
glad to see you back! i had the honda self propelled walk behind for 6 years. great machine, did everything perfectly but i switched to a battery powered ryobi (their top model) last year because i wanted a quieter mower. the ryobi is quiet but doesn’t have the same suction (doesn’t lift the grass blades as well) as the honda. the self propulsion is a bit jerky. it uses up two 6ah batteries to cut 8500 sq feet with quite a few obstacles to navigate around. i also got a great deal on the 38” ryobi ride on battery powered mower which is great but not as quiet as they claim when i use the bagging blades. the lead acid batteries make it very heavy but i’ll probably replace with lithium once these go bad.
Thank you, Bat! It feels good to be back. You can't go wrong with a Honda. I was wondering if the battery powered mowers would produce as much suction. Thanks for your feedback!
New to your channel and really enjoyed this video. I'm all into battery equipment. Have a Kobalt 80v self propelled. Like you said do it right the first time. First Kobalt was Not self propelled. At 72 I learned quickly the knees and legs aren't what they use to be lolo. All in for Kobalt brand and went for the 80v series for mower, trimmer and blower. Saw videos on the 40v series and for mowing there were issues with taller grass. Oh and for a great spreader that's overlooked is Brinly. 90% already together. Great price with air filled tires and no wire but rod adjustments. Look forward to more of your videos. Stay well Anthony
Great video Kyle! Good to see you back after a virtually snowless (at least it felt like) winter! I'm sticking with my gas tools for now but someday when the time is right I'll switch to battery. And I totally agree battery sprayers for the win!
@@lakehouselawncare1755 Used my new to me 2 stage craftsman 4 times this year; used the single stage Toro for a couple of those nuisance 2-3" snowfalls but definetly not the year to strike it rich on snow money. Any big plans that your willing to share that are in the works?
Im with you Andy, I too am sticking pretty much to the gas stuff. I do have a backpack sprayer thats battery and I do own a battery powered ryobi trimmer, which I use to love, after comparing with my gas ones, I dont think it has the same power. For most light edging or trimming I think it would be fine, and or also in smaller lawns.
Spring is almost here lawn videos back! Love mowing with Honda HRC216. It’s super heavy thank goodness for self propel. Looking forward to see if Chick N Poo fertilizer helps lawn perk up sooner this year
Hey Kyle! Great comprehensive video, I think you hit all the points. Nice. Im not a fan of battery powered mowers or trimmers, I do think its coming and I have owned a few. I know things are getting better in that area. I do love my battery powered backpack sprayer though. As you, I would not look back, I love it. Good content man!
Thank you, my friend! I appreciate your feedback. I’ve never used a battery powered mower but I’m excited to try one out this spring. Cheers to the spring!
I got the Kobalt without self-propelled (only 3500 sq. ft. lawn) and it's been great. Same battery as my edger, blower, and weed wacker and the charge last the entire job
Love the video. Just subscribed. I use everything electric now and although it’s more expensive, like you said I’m never going back. Let’s get to lawn cutting szn!!
@@lakehouselawncare1755 good to see ya back Kyle. I’m right there with ya. My troybilt push mower is a hoss. It will be seeing more action at the new house because of the lay of the land.
What's up buddy? Happy Spring to you. I really don't know. I just got the new Toro battery powered recycler but I haven't used it yet. I'll keep you posted.
Yes they are. I will be doing a video this season on the Toro 60V Vortex. I did one two years ago on the first Toro 60V and the Vortex is a huge improvement. I use all battery which makes the upcoming ban on small gas engines in California a thing in the past for me

Same bro! I’ve never used a battery powered mower. I’m excited to see if the hype is real.
Hey George where ya been? Hope all is well. Good to see ya. I was looking at the Toro battery mower, its amazing how low their run time is!

I’ll put that $200 Murray with a DIY stipe kit up against any mower! Lol
😂 I couldn’t agree more. I have no self propel on my troy-bilt with a diy stripe kit and I love it!

Are the toro battery powered on par with the recycler line? 🤔 seems like that would be a really powerful battery operated mower

Where did you get your Toro tshirt?
My YT algorithm is so in winter mode that it hasn't popped your video up. Had to search for it. Glad to see your vids again!
😂 well thank you my friend! I always appreciate you watching and commenting.
I have a Black and Decker blower and the battery only lasts about 10 minutes. Is the battery defective? Which do you suggest ?
Hi Pam. It should definitely last longer than 10 minutes. You may have a defective battery. Can you return it to where you bought it?
Dennis Cash
Where can I purchase a Toro T-Shirt ?
Hey Dennis! I don’t see them for sale anywhere online. I won that shirt in a photo contest on Facebook. Sorry I’m not more help.
Big box store junk, why are you promoting this crap?
Just trying to help people understand what's available if they're looking to get into diy lawn care. Thanks for watching and commenting, Pete!
Good to see you back.
Thank you, Ron! I appreciate you watching and commenting. Cheers my friend!
