i know the camera quality was really bad back then, but it still amazes me that we even have this remastered footage from 1914!!
@@danmcgladdery1813 Just imagine what we’ll be able to achieve in the decades to come if we could remaster old footage to look like this only several years back!
I always loved adult Jack's VA work.
josh blaylock, who voiced him, ended up playing the main character in Video Game High School!
also, i think it was motion capture, not just VA work.
@@quinnmarchese6313 No motion capture for him since it's the same cutscene as John.
@@Loukablyat thats a distinct probability with the stranger cutscenes, but when John is alive and interacting with Jack, he probably mocapped those
@@quinnmarchese6313 Yeah for some reason I forgot about teenager Jack.
Im afraid hes dead- Jack, 5 mins after killing him
Well, he challenged him for a duel first so the man has to accept the risk.
5:00 Mario was never the same after getting rejected by Peach in Mario Odyssey.
Jack looks better in Deadly Assassin outfit than his father did.
Other way around, friend.
I agree, it fits with Jack's edgy outlook.
how do i get it?
@@whyareyouevenreadingmyname950you get it when you play as john you gotta complete some Quest
Jack with the deadly assassin outfit makes me wish that's his real look
It seems like the last one with Clara. Was implied that Clara lied and they didnt even know her
Doing that mission as jack makes the dialogue not make sense. Jack would be very interested in movies and not be critical of them
Mabey he grew out of it after his fathers death and learnt more of the outlaw life to avenge them
It makes sense that he'd get disillusioned and cynical after everything that happened.
@@krissuyx oh no doubt he'd become more cynical but in guess the point I'm trying to make is that some lines dont work with jack
@@george-o2514 I agree. Spoilers, but it’s kinda like John in rdr2.
@@alexcrane1397 yeah I'm aware, a lot of the side missions have things that only Arthur would say yet they mad rob just repeat the same lines anyway
I actually like Jack more than John. Hes beard is cool and he has a bit of mystery behind him so you can basically mold him to be whoever you want, while with John he's a family man and doing everything for them. It's kinda hard for me to do bad things as John tbh
I always kinda wanted Jack to grow up and settle down ,become a lawyer or something at least that's what his parents and Arthur intended
I didnt wanted to see him be a Bounty hunter
"Is just a goddamn whõõrè mayne"
💀💀
Jack with the deadly assassin outfit is absolutely perfect. I always liked to imagine that was the canon outfit instead and he has an eye patch because his eye was shot out during the government attack on his house
Well, on John the eye patch is probably there because it’s implied John is blind in one eye
The eyepatch is supposed to help with precise aim during duels, it’s not because of a missing eye or John being blind lol
@@47thheaven34 it’s called a headcanon smartass
I really like his angry lines when you’re going on rampages with jack would be cool if they remake it with rdr2 graphics and still talk about Arthur

Yep, just like em weeds springing up in my lawn rite now
When the man talking to Jack said Nickelodeon and film studio that legit caught my attention.
That's what they called most theaters back then, since you paid a nickel to get in. I don't think he specifically's responsible for the orange goo network.

crazy how this is taking place during the first world war
Didn't it start in 1915? Or that was just the entering of the country I'm from? In any case I think this is before the war, even if by a few months, because Jack Marston was drafted and fought in the war
@@nicenamenicesurname8365 The war started in mid 1914 and the US joined mid 1917. So OP was right on both accounts. Edit: I just checked to confirm my memory and the newspaper even mentions the outbreak of the war during the epilogue. Not to be a dick, just felt like your comment was kinda... Huh... Let's say that you could have checked it on google rather than question OP, it kind looks like you are doubting him.
@@nicenamenicesurname8365 WW1 was already going on during this since it’s mentioned in the last newspaper.
If this has taught me anything. Sometimes it's best to stay out of people's business.
Never clocked that the voice actor for MacKenna was doing an Orson Welles impersonation.
This outfit looks so good on him.
10:40 the cops are just watching the show
If im not wrong, dueling was legal in that era, they had nothin to do.
@@vaultman2971
Dueling stopped being popular in the US shortly after the American Revolution. By the time Aaron Burr killed Alexander Hamilton in the early 19th century, it was regarded as stupid and illegal in many states. Make no mistake, duels were illegal in the Wild West period. But just because something is illegal doesn't mean the local lawmen will enforce those laws.
2:39 - 2:50 jack really be roasting people for fun 💀
I'm proud of you jack you've become good strong adult I know Arthur and your parents would proud of you don't forget them and who they were they're apart of you never forget that
This is the life they DIDNT want for him their sacrifices mean nothing now
@@rjthehoodlum1914 maybe but in this time era this is the best life you could get believe me life in the city is worse then it is out there and at least jack has Arthur's and johns heart and soul and I think that's enough for them
@@Mercer13958 u probably played rdr 1 I haven't so your word is prolly better than mine
I think John and Abigail’s deaths molded Jack into the person his parents worked so hard to keep from from becoming. And the thing is, Jack has the same dialogue John has in these scenes so his dialogue technically isn’t his, it’s just a placeholder for John. And some of what he says feels uncharacteristic because it’s originally John’s dialogue. He also has dialogue that aren’t in these cutscenes that make him sound like a kid with a lot of pent up rage. So I think Jack is more of a troubled man who gave up on his promising future of education because his parents weren’t there to guide him in the right direction. He’s not exactly something to be proud of. His story ends on a tragic note where he gets revenge for his father’s death and is left empty and alone. Not something to strive for.
@@ashtonferguson1855 why did abigail die anyway

I wondered if Jack ever knew what happened in Blackwater with the old Gang
London Ricketts must of told him
I never understood Eva's story, is it just sad? Is Mario just a complete dickhead and that is it? I remember playing that mission as a kid as John and it had me crying, because she didn't deserve that fate, is that what it is showing? That bad things happen anyways even to people who don't deserve it?
Eva was just a stranger who knew about the family, so she never really slept with Harold. She wanted Jack/John to get Harold to cough up some money because she knew they had were rich. She basically scammed Jack's empathy into killing a man and giving her his money. Neither Harold nor his wife knew who Eva was.
As for Mario, it might've not been him that took her away and killed her, possibly just a previous "client" who found out where she was, took her away, and killed her and buried her. Mario probably found out where she was buried and look to dig her up for unknown reasons.
@@DvHarris-uw3ze No, you have two mixed up. Clara is the one with the child who slept with Harold. Eva was the lady Jack saved after paying Mario 200 dollars to free her.
Bad things happening to people who don't deserve it is a common theme in Red Dead tbh
@@leoveas9965 And life in general

The game itself confirms in the quest description that Mario beat Eva to death in a drunken rage.
jack marston is a badass just like his father💯
red dead 3, Jack Marston enlists for the army for WW1
i like the difference between how rockstar treated the db shotgun in the red dead games
rdr1: big gun holster
rdr2: stick it in the pistol holster but just *stretch it out*
There's a mod that gives you this outfit in rdr2. I played both games recently and i had arthur john and jack all wear this outfit throughout their stories
Euw! Ewtsiyde! Neu!
-that one Irish guy
During the last side mission, is there a way to just disable Harold or do you only kill him?
You can only kill him
I failed that duel a hundred times trying for a non lethal outcome. Killing him is the only option. Which kinda sucks.
@@theo-jamesmoulton2000 you can disarm him
John told jack not to be like him but jack is just getting revenge for the man who took his fathers life
Jack marston vs John marston
3:14 ahh the old west, when eye patches furrowed with your brow
I hope red dead 3 is about jack marston
Him being cocky would be neat
Then it would be a World War 1 story. The premises of Red Dead is on the Wild West. The wild west ended with John. It's better to revisit Dutch's earlier days
@@fezzy5591 yeah but my guy it's not real. The games don't have to take from actual history
@@fezzy5591 not necessarily, Jack can go through the army, rather his setting after returning could coincide with the early 20s. in fact, although we are used to associate RDR with westerns, in fact, the theme of redemption for one's criminal past can be in any setting. To some extent, the wild west still existed under John, although it was dying. Jack is already a pupil of the dead wild west trying to survive in a completely new world. In addition, the 20s were also the times of great migration from Europe after WW1, the formation of a new criminal world. Rockstar may release their interpretation of mafia structures, and it will be quite ironic for Jack to encounter and initially work for the Italians when he was exposed to Angelo Bronte as a child.
Jack looks more like Dutch vanderlinde in his younger days
Yooo is that the same nun that you encounter with arthur? Remember in the story she said she was going to mexico
Yes, that's her
And she is also Mother Superior, the nun you help in Undead Nightmares.
I like to think that Jack getting attacked by the bear led to eye damage and that’s why he wears an eyepatch.
You want a cow, cowboy?
Its the first time i realize the sister from rdr 2 is actually in rdr 1...AND IN MEXICO! DUUUDE
the cops 0n the background of a duel be like: stare* '-')
Jack Marston is just another Dutch
Did he just said "Nickelodeon" ?xD
A nickelodeon was a name for a small theatre that only cost a nickel. That's where the TV network Nickelodeon got its name from. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
Nickel (the coin) + Odeon (Greek for musical theatre)
Mario is the perfect stereotype for what feminists use for men these days 😂
10:45 a duel right in front of 2 policemen lmfao
In the red dead universe, duels are legal. As long as 2 parties agree to a fair draw, then whoever wins doesn't take any blame. Duels in the wild west genre is seen as 2 people taking action in a fair fight for whatever reason, both parties know the risks and have to pay the consequences.
I'm sure the officers and lawman in the red dead universe are used to seeing 2 men go out onto the street and duel each other, probably see it on a daily occurrence (atleast the officers in my red dead playthroughs did)
It’s tony Montana “Mayan”
this now is 45k, damn O_O
You should wear it with the bandana
This should be called "jack Marston the do boy do gooder"
this must be the cannonic way to plaay the game
Wow… spatchcock was slow
Anyone else notice that Eva has Abigail's hairdo? Just me? Too bad.
John looks so much better with DA outfit then his son does. It just doesn’t fit Jack.
disagree this outfit suits Jack as well as John, even more so than the dark mourning suit for his parents
Fits Jack more because of his edgy vibe
6:23 more like on her
Wait how do I play a jack like literally tell me‽
Play the story and find out
Jack looks like Javier
Lowkey sus.
Smfh. What a waste of 200 dollars. Jack should have just shot Mario on the spot then and there.
His voice is out of place in this game , to me.
He's 19
After playing both games, I’m convinced that Jack would neither be John’s or Arthur’ son… he looks too much like Micah as an adult…
Micah has only ran with the gang for 6 months before the start of RDR2 right? Jack is 4 years old. Then again it's not impossible and given Abigail's circumstances and Micah's 'delightful' personality it wouldn't be surprising if both forgot about each other even if they ran into each other later.
