Cyclura are awesome (if I had to pick, I would go Cuban!). If I had the space, I'd definitely have a pair! An alternative species, for those who can only provide indoor enclosures in northern climates, and that are somewhat "cyclura-esque" are the Honduran Spiny Tail Iguanas, Ctenosaura melanosterna! Males might max out at 2.5 feet and females are smaller, but they are bulky so seem "bigger". Care is quite similar, but they are a bit more omnivorous and young ones love/need their bugs! Awesome video!

@@classicgentlemen4513 You could just walk into a reptile pet shop and they'll usually be around $30 bucks. I know I'm 4 years late, but I have one and you should definitely get one if you know how to take care of them!
The rhino iguanas are just totally awesome. I would love to have one or two.

Look Guapo and Lola. They are so loving! I loved when Guapo was around the pool and he enjoy so much that he marked the territory to himself all over. Than he lie down and completely relaxed like he was saying: no one can take me out from here. I will never leave....

One thing that I would add to choosing between a rhino iguana and a Cuban iguana is that in Cuban rock iguanas, usually the males get allot more tame and personal then the females. It’s not impossible to get a very friendly puppy dog tame female rock, but it’s more then likely going to take allot longer and take more patents to tame down a female. The female Cubans are also much smaller then the males. So when getting a baby iguana, usually there is no way of telling the sex of the baby until they start displaying certain behaviors around two years old. You’ll have a 50/50 chance of getting a male, if that’s what you’re looking for. Rhino iguanas on the other hand tend to be more even with each other when it comes to male and females. Females can get just about as big as the males and seem to tame down just as easy. I love both my Cubans and rhinos so much, and I would not be able to choose a favorite between them, but for a first time iguana owner, and for those who plan on just getting one iguana, your odds of getting a easy laid back iggy might just be higher with the rhino iguanas.

I had different kind of iguanas and adult iguanas and they make great pets. Absolutely love them, Not all Iguanas are not aggressive unless you treat them wrong.

Great video!! I was once torn between choosing between a Cuban and Rhino Iguana. I researched the Cubans had a slight edge of being tamer than the Rhinos but it was possible to have puppy tame Rhinos. I waited patiently you and bought a sub adult Rhino male that was known to be tame. I just love the prehistoric look. I got lucky. Id say you can’t go wrong with either.

They're both different environments but if you mean temperament wise, then yes C. Nubila are much tamer/more easily tamed than the green iguana.

i found out rock iguanas I cant get in my area. found this out at the rexpo today got myself a Rhino Iguana instead. hope we grow up to not fear me an low patting. payed a good bit for him so I would love use to be great pal's any idea on how or age were thay are more accepting?

Colton C I’m wondering the same thing I ordered a blue rhino iguana and I’m interested in getting a Blue Caiman or possibly even a Cuban rock iguana as well. I know rhinos do good with tortoises in large outdoor enclosures how do the caiman and Cuban iguanas handle other iguanas and tortoises ?

kenan may i ask a question about thai iguna and i saw some pictures of iguana that are orange in colour, but i heard that when they are baby they are green and overtime then change to orange colour is that true?
bryan chua No. Some iguanas are bred that way. There are also blue iguanas.
It depends on if you're talking about green iguanas (Iguana Iguana). The males tend to turn orange during breeding season but there are also some bred to be red from the start.
What about regular Green Iguanas the ones they sell at the pet stores?

I ordered a blue rhino iguana and he’s doing great I have a nice setup for him with more then enough room and he will be going outdoors with our redfoots and cherry heads as soon as he’s big enough in 2020. I’m actually commenting because I’m interested in getting another iguana and I’d like to try something different I’m looking at either a Blue Cayman or a Cuban rock iguana next. I know rhinos do good well with tortoises in large outdoor enclosures how do the caiman and Cuban iguanas handle the shared space? Does one do better then the other? Also I did notice a big jump in price between the two is the cayman worth the extra investment?
