@@larojas0914 not really, for most others they try and cover it up or just pull pr moves, roblox overwhelmingly obvious and somehow more greedy then the others encourages it and even does brand deals with them.
ROBLOX is their own worst enemy, they could have grown steadily as a company and stayed profitable forever if they just never hit their metaverse phase.

@@Nigjaslayer9000I believe it mostly happen after 2015-2016 when first big signs revealed Roblox's hidden identity, in my case I couldn't really see anything happening in 2015 neither 2016 as they were somewhat in touch with events, ever since they removed tickets and only possible obtainable currency being mostly obtained with real money AND having no events that we used to have is what revealed some of their intentions.

Roblox recieving a lawsuit would definitely put atleast a stop temporarily to the public UGC, our best case scenario is reverting that update if possible.

It’s amazing how, no matter how badly the Roblox Corporation ruins their own platform, at the end of the day we still play their game. One of the unique cases where, no matter how hard the developers of a thriving game ruin it, the game just doesn’t die

Public UGC is genuinely one of the worst updates ever released in this game. UGC was in a really bad state before this, but dear god, it somehow got so much worse. Audio removal is really close, but due to the fact that this is a children's game, public UGC tops that. I do not know how this company can make so many bad decisions, yet still turn a blind eye. The update where you got forced to use the Windows Store version, causing the game to look worse and have worse performance, (not sure if this is one update) the removal of game searchability, removal of the forums, forcing filtering enabled (not the addition, just when it became enforced), the many updates that slowly took the life of the website into the forest, the removal rather than a reworking of tix, the new ad bull####, and age verification. I could write an essay on how much garbage roblox has done.
NSFW is a small corner of roblox. most of it is just children trying to be adults. while yes, this is a horrible thing, people tend to disregard how good public UGC is. you can literally make ANYTHING you want.
also, when I was a kid I knew when someone was a grooming me. maybe the parents should teach their kids not to talk to strangers.

Quality can tend to be questionable among other issues, which was still an issue before it went public. Roblox should've never released public UGC as they already couldn't handle private, their moderation is still bad and will likely continue to be bad.

I was considering making some UGC on my own (I have a few interesting ideas for face and wrist accessories already modeled/textured) but seeing how UGC is going with rampant content theft, I don't want to risk getting my creations ripped and resold by tons of bots. I guess I'll have to wait until those problems get settled (probably never, oh well :/ )

I haven't had anyone steal my content yet as I'm one of the smaller creators, but my friends at Foxtrot Arms ain't doing so good, their stuff is getting stolen left and right. Honestly everyone being able to create UGC was something I genuinely never had a problem with, I thought it was ok.
But the reason I DONT like it, is the fact I know danm well roblox can’t moderate it. Until they can, Public UGC should NOT be a thing.
I think that the reason why public UGC sucks is mostly because of the community, but moderation and ROBLOX themselves too. We all knew damn well they wouldnt even TRY to moderate anything. Even if they did, it wouldve been a max 1 day ban for inappropiate accessories.
What Roblox did was being greedy to be honest.. It's sad that Roblox has to do all of this..

I logged on a week ago because I wanted to redeem a giftcard and get some new accessories.
Since the items got more expensive, I can't even get HALF of the items I was planning on buying hence only being able to create half an outfit.
I care more about cosmetics than gamepasses, and most gamepasses in games I play are temporary or overpriced regardless.
I just pray roblox will return the prices to their previous state, as I am sure they will be seeing a decrease in item purchases.
I'm not even planning on redeeming the giftcard at this point, i'll wait until the prices go down and only then do so.

Roblox always puts money above security/community and feedback. There is a reason why they removed the oof audio, didnt do anything abt the audio update and isnt doing anything to moderate the public ugc much, if they don't have to waste money or something wont give more money than wasted they wont do anything, probably will be like this till a new ceo(which would prob be as greedy) or just have decline in popularity, which I bet.
Ez solution: do a massive delete (with obviously like a warning a month before so you can go save files and buy items) and then after that's happened add public ugc again but with way better moderation
Also, the accessories would only be removed from the catalog but not the inventories.

Roblox's "statement" sounds like they are talking more to investors than they are the community... it sounds less of a response to the Users' concerns, but to reassure investors that they know what they are doing, and that they have everything "under control."

Why is nobody talking about the kids that falsely report UGC items because they have red on it as dangerous items and get them deleted from the store + getting the user who made them banned. I lost the Manhunt mask i bought more than 2 weeks ago and im yet to see it reaploaded or back on sale. I lost my robux (which i dont care much) and the only good looking manhunt mask. I am yet to see Roblox adressing this issue because its not only the mask many other UGCs and Users have been false banned too.

Its a shame, limiteds are completely dead now. Millions of copies and not a good enough moderation to stop them. And with UGC limiteds, the increase price/stock destroyed them, and ugc events are extremely rare now :(
