- It's a well known fact that Yorkshire Terriers were bred to hunt and kill cardboard boxes in the wilderness.
These Yorkies get an early Christmas present and rip it to pieces.

I think it's often forgotten that, as tiny as they are, Yorkies are Terriers. They still have that "let me at 'em" instincts of a rat catcher. These guys are just so adorable, but so tenacious! There was no way they were going to give up.
Our Yorkie has those instincts, they may be classified as a toy dog but they are 100% terrier. She will run herself into the ground if it means playing for a few more minutes! And she is a YAS (Yorkie alarm system), you know when someone is approaching the front door, walking by or dropping of an Amazon package!
They must smell a rat inside
I used to have a Yorkie. Made it to almost 16 years of age. He shook a rat shaped toy fiercely, like it was alive and he was trying to kill it.

lol I just posted a video of my yorkie bullying the ball throwing machine for treats. It went in for like an hour.. lol He won

3 Terriers rip the crap out of a box and you see teamwork, they literally did not give a crap about each other, they were totally working independent of each other.
They're feisty and determined and were probably too tired from fighting with the stubborn box to play with their wonderful toys. How nice of their owner to do this for them.
Too cute! I had a toy poodle that I taught to open his presents, which was fine until one night he snuck out & opened every present under the tree, LOL!!

Love it! My yorkie Teddy does the same. He loves to open gifts. He's spoiled. I buy a toy for him even when it's someone else's birth day in the family becasue he wants to open gifts and is disappointed if there's none for him! Totally worth it though. He brings so much joy to my life! 💚
I have a GSP like that. If I get a package in the mail, he thinks it should be his. And a Chewy box…all hid and he knows it.
I had a Yorkie named Teddy
Unfortunately my girlfriend found him dead in the backyard
He was only 3 years old
I was devastated
I think of him everyday

I am sorry for your loss..I have had 2 Yorkies pass away and I miss them very much but I still have 2 Yorkies since I was heart broken I had to buy another one after my cleo passed because I missed her so bad now we have sassy
paula so does my yorkie Minnie,i had covid in the first round 2020 and spent christmas alone with Minnie,she had a stocking of her own and christmas morning we sat in bed and opened our prezzies without her i wouldnt have got through it all.....
Those Yorkie puppies are so cute, and determined to open that box.

I used to have an auto parts store and sometimes brought my wife's Yorkie to work.
His favorite toy was a Volvo engine mount in a plastic bag.
One day someone came in for that mount, one of the help told Yorkie to go get it.
I'm sure there are stories that we had a dog trained to read part numbers

Absolutely love Yorkie doggies, we lost our little Yorkie seven months ago, she was a gorgeous little girl called Gizzy, we had her from the age of six weeks old and she reached a grand age of thirteen years and six months. She had diabetes and Cushing's disease the last two years of her life, it was an extremely stressful time for me and my Mrs, we would go through it all again if we could have her back, we miss her dearly...
Tiny savages truly descendant of and with the 'soul' , heart , and mind of the wolf .... just like our little 10 pound monsters ! LOL !!!
