Love this...I too have a yorkie, that "digging" is them "nesting". Before domestication they would fix their surroundings (meaning whatever they were laying on) to get ready for bed or rest. I actually have a 55sec video of mine fluffing his peanuts blanket before he plops down with a big heavy sigh as if it took an hour to get right lol. It's the cutest.
Awee that’s adorable! And yes, I think the big sigh is a universal thing 😂😂
The digging is because they were bread to kill rats originally.
Funny to think that dogs were once wild animals, I can’t imagine how our pup would have lived without her fluffy blankets and soft bed.
I lost my Yorkie, Piper, to stomach cancer at 13yrs. We were together constantly and I truly thought I'd never get over her loss. Then I adopted a Yorkie mix from shelter. The happiness that Laken brings is immeasurable.❤️🙏

I já měla fenku 15 let. I já myslela, že nic už přijít nemůže. Pak mi kamarádka řekla o pětileté , týrané fence, kterou majitelé nechtějí a daji jí do útulku. Druhý den jsem si ji vyzvedla. Ema byla úžasná. Dala mi tolik lásky, pozornosti. V dubnu to bude rok, co odešla. Věk a fyzické možnosti mi nedovolují dalšího jorka. Ale pořád je mám v srdci a mysli. A každý jork, kterého potkám mě dojme. Dožila se 15 ti let. Jupí. Určitě se se všemi svými psy a psy svých kamarádů potkám na nebeských loukách.

@@RoscoeandOllie Thank you! It’s so hard losing a fur baby. We also just lost our adopted rescue dog, Blue 2 weeks ago. He was an Australian cattle dog mix and we had him for 14 years. He was a doofus and so much fun. I miss him too!
@@Dranma51. I am so sorry for your loss; I lost mine December 1st, totally unexpectedly. I have felt so guilty thinking I missed something. He was a rescue I adopted 7 years earlier and was told he was 3. I expected that we had at least 4-5 years more because his health was excellent and as a cocker spaniel with a healthy diet and lifestyle, I expected him to live longer. His beautiful black face had begun turning white this past year. I am having to assume that Jesse was older than I was told. I miss him so much. A month ago, I adopted a 7 year old female Pomeranian who was in pathetic shape- bald spots, skin and bones and skin so flea bitten that she looked like she had mange. I wasn’t ready but she was in desperate need. I knew Jesse would approve. In just a month, her fur has grown in and her weight doubled. She gets home cooked toppers mixed with her special dog food. (She’s not crazy about the salmon/pollock fish oil!). I will begin brushing her teeth tomorrow- taking baby steps. She looks at me as if I am an angel. I am trying to live up to her expectations!
My Simba was 22, yes 22.i will miss him forever.sadly our staffie missed him and died 5 months to the day, he just mourned him all the time. And died of a broken heart. Yorkies are such loveable characters they do stay in your heart forever.

Lost our girl Ella (15 yr) to cancer last year and I was devastated. Summoned the courage to adopt again and Meeko (1yr/m) is the love of my life. He just completes our family ❤

So sweet. I always wanted a Yorkie. When my little trio of shelties passed in the same year, I was devastated and was looking around for Yorkie breeders in my area. When I learned of a Bugg, half Pug and half Boston terrier that was I need of rescue from an abusive and neglectful situation. I was so moved by the dire circumstances this little one was in, that I immediately rescued him! I adore him and do not regret my decision, however, I see a Yorkie sibling in the future for my boy!

My first dog was a female Yorkie that my neighbor couldn’t “bond with”. She turned out to be the most perfect dog that ever walked the face of the earth! It told me a lot about my neighbor and my opinion hasn’t changed. Unfortunately when she was 6, she got cancer and died. My wife cried for a week. I was working at the time so I could get my mind off of it. We ended up adopting a chihuahua mix that was the dog from hell. Eventually we loved her too.

My little man, D'arcy never played. He just watched silently. He was found in the streets by Council nearly dead, possibly aged 6. He lived on possum poo and dried worms. He was tiny for a Yorkie and how he survived on his own I don't know but he was an alpha liitle lad. I volunteered at a Shelter and adopted him. I later rescued a small chiquawa, same size and age and they played together. D'arcy passed away a year ago, aged 18 yrs approx. I swear he was the sweetest, most loving creature on the planet. I will miss him forever. His little friend is still going at 19yrs.

Yorkies have shiny coats that change over time and are cute. He's also cute even though He's a little stubborn.
My child crossed the rainbow bridge at the end of 2023 at the age of 16 years and 11 months.

@@RoscoeandOllie hahaha he hates it he thinks he’s my dog. And I need to bow down to him. He rubs his body all over me but pisses on my toes and leaves scents on them. Plus he loves grabbing my hand with his mouth and going wild yet I never have cuts
I lost all three of my Yorkies to their age and one to an illness a few years apart,three and five years ago and my heart is still broken.

Plemeno k nezaplacení. Bystří, pohybliví, velcí lovci, poslušní/ chce to jen trochu důslednosti/, ovladatelní, ostražití, láskyplní. Měla jsem tu obrovskou možnost chovat jorky. Jednoho pejska a dvě fenky. Srdce mi pro ně hoří. Jsou úžasní parťáci, turisti a poslušní. Všichni mohli chodit bez vodítka a užívat si svět.

she will dig and roll in it. So funny. They look so prissy--Not.
They will always find a nice patch of dirt to roll around in. And it always seems to be right after a bath or groom 😂❤️ they’re so funny.
