It is, my neighbors say they hear me leaving every morning when I cold start mine and the NPP valve is wide open. It makes up for the late evening ATVs they us at 11PM at night.
Friends got a stage 4 on a ZL1 Gen 5 with around 800 HP (he's a tuner by trade) . I prefer the stage 2 for a daily driver and some street cred, the stuff you can put into these is crazy, be careful what you wish for. Friends car has LT headers on a 3 inch exhaust with Borla mufflers. It is used mostly in drag racing and not a daily driver. When he does drive it around town to screw around in it the noise is insane. Going through a drive through he has to turn it off to talk and you have to shout a little to talk in the car and simply leaving a parking lot, it may burn out by accident with OEM tires. He mostly uses drag tires but the stock street tires can't really handle the power.
Have the stage 2 car in this video... bought it from owner. Car is a beast. Have no issues passing smog/inspection in new york. Car has plenty of room to make more power. Completely streetable... these cars are not really streetable even in stock form lol.
I hope the seat on stage 4 still adjusts , looks too close to the wheel. Is the car back halfed or was the sheet metal just to cover parts of the stock chassis?
The Stage 4 car has Cobra Evolution-Proforce Kevlar racing seats AKA Halo racing seats which are fixed and mounted on a bracket and usually used with a 4/5/6 point harness. Comfort isn't what these seats are made for. ua-cam.com/video/ugWuTk-A5Fw/v-deo.html once you get in and strap in you are not moving. The roll cage makes the rear seats useless and may as well take out the rear seat for weight reduction, they could probably strip the dash out also but probably want to make it look somewhat nice. The back is probably just sheet metal and I am thinking they have a ice tank, fuel cells back there. www.chevyhardcore.com/tech-stories/fuel-cooling-ignition-tech/project-true-sstreet-rhodes-race-cars-outfits-our-fifth-gen-camaro/ That stage 4 car setup is no joke, it is for racing.
Ca car? How in God's green earth do you pass emissions? I own a 2017 1le, looking at no other choices other than smog legal FI in order to get some really decent power. Will these vehicles pass smog as is or is there some type of exception granted?
DeathBYmonkies it’s called a wicker bill but what kind i have no clue, you can get them from places like zl1addons. I got mine for my challenger there. Hope that helps
@@kriptic22 their stage 4 kit also comes with an intake manifold and larger throttle body. Its not just a more aggressive cam. I'd say you'd probably get another 50whp/40whtq give or take with the stage 4 package!
The power difference is maybe 2-5 hp up top...it's where the power is made that's the difference. A stage 2 makes peak maybe at 6500 where as a stage 4 for any cam and any company revs all the way to 7000, our small blocks don't need to rev that far out, also your torque is better in a stage 2 vs a 3 or 4. Bigger is not always better.
Good luck in California! Soon the CHP will be able to impound modified cars on pullovers. Diesel vehicles soon to be outlawed too included big rigs. Go green!
"Stage 4" bare interior and then you put sheet metal in to make it heavier again... and what the hell is that shift light for, when the head up display has a Formula 1-like shift indicator? What nonsense... whoever owns these wonderful cars does not deserve them, they need to go to true car enthusiasts which will take care of them and not bastardize them like this...
I'll take both thank you
Stage 2 for me, sounds like a great neighbor pisser offer!

My stage 2 wakes up half the town when i open the no weeds cutouts
So 2 is louder than 4 I thought stage 4 was loudest

This is helping me decide which cam I want, thanks! I still think that I'm going to go all out and get a stage 4.
Did you get it?
@@m.m.6757 you know I still want to get it. You know. Cars is an expensive hobby. I will get the stage 3 eventually.

Does it have any other exhaust modifications? Also in NY and have kept mine stock because I wasn’t sure what I can even get away with
Thanks!! They both sound great!
“Next time pull your pants up , FRAT BOY. “. Lol.
You're missing a whole lot of info here.
They both sound bad ass, I'm having a BTR 225 stage 2 cam, headers, and MSD intake installed as i speak.
I just bought a stage 4 for my 5.3. did you get an aftermarket ECU or did you use the stock one?

Stage 2 sounds better👍🏼
How much for the stage 2 out the door? Assuming about 550whp?
Thanks>
JJ4POPE they make 505 stock Im pretty sure it's more like 650 +
Oscar Salazar thanks for the reply..yes, 650hp is roughly 550whp.. (wheel horse power)
Wtf.. Why does the stage 2 sound choppier?
Does the higher stage just mean power output?
Los dos super sonido 😍
For the stage 2, is it arh 2” or 1 7/8
Do you need to have new heads for stage2 or is just headers ok? I know nothing, but damn do I like the cam lope on these.
Does stage 4 makes the car faster then the other stages?
Yes
Please include more info, I have a z28 and am super interested in the stage 2.
Nice! Any leads who can install a CAM in my 2000 Camaro SS . I’m in California as well
They sound both alike no different and nice black on black no hate clean love em brutha
both sound great. but hows the drivability? are these cams appropriate for daily driving? hmm
Cam specs for the stage 2?

Honestly any car can pass emissions if you know the right people and are willing to pay.
🔥 smog
is the stage 2 stock exhaust? or were any cats or mufflers removed? or was it replaced with an actual full aftermarket exhaust?
I said ... god daaaammn. Sounds straight up nasty. I like
Are these still on the road/track?
How do you pass smog👀
Stage 4 all day, that mean and super deep rumble from the kooks header
I’m in CA too. Can the the stage 2 be smogged here?
Yeah if you pay your smog guy lol. Thats what i do.
Stage 2 sound good too!
What’s a stage?
How do those pass emissions in CA?
They don't haha. But you gotta have your people ;p
you fake it

Are these stock mufflers
What mufflers are you running?
What's the exhaust set up
Arh long system to stock mufflers
Both sound great. I'm going with somewhere in the middle on my SS. A stage 3 should be right where I am needing to be.
A stage 3 on your SS might be around a stage 1 maybe even 2 on these Z28's being they make about 80 more crank hp factory
Stage 4 ftw putting the stage 4 PDS cam from Brian tooley in my zl1 over the winter here
Is it me or stage 2 sounds better ....????
No, I think it sounds better also.
Its just the stage 4 is for racing so its got a more aggressive sound then stage 2.
Stage 2 sounds sweet
It woulda been better to do this test with long tubes an factory exhaust on both
I just baught the Green Flash.
Says 300 mph on the dash. .
stage 2 all day
“Sounds aight”
A ton of info missing as stated above. Whats the lsa, hows valve train noise, what are the freaking specs?
I went stage 3 tsp gen v L83 yet to see the outcome
Stage 3 Brian Tooley racing. Do it.
what's the power difference between the 2???
" the power" isnt going to be a great difference tbh. Stage 4 will be getting the power at higher rpms then stage 2.
