asking for a trim means your asking for them to avoid cutting off any length that they can avoid cutting tho. for as much as these appointments typically cost in my world its frustrating when they dont listen to what you want and instead just do what they think is best. that being said i understand the client probably agreed to the length in this situation
you realize there was a professional cut done in between clips right? the first video was to create content and remove bulk. then we washed her and did the real cut and style.
She probably wanted this much cut off. I doubt they would've take so many inches off without first making sure that this is what she wants. Trim can be half an inch but also 5 inches if someone requests but yeah usually trim is small.
is it so difficult to cut it with scissors? if so May be hairdressing not for you. And before you say i know that you will be cutting it again after colouring it but still is it so difficult to cut it with scissors ?
@@BobbyHairStudio I have never ever heard of a trim being between 1-3 inches. Half an inch at most is a trim. Well it is in the United Kingdom unless you have a hairdresser who is scissors happy.
@@fifi13912 half an inch is what I call a “dusting” it gets some split ends off but for most clients who don’t come in every 6-10 weeks, they need a couple of inches. That’s a trim to me. However, it’s all priced the same and I always follow what my client is comfortable with. Terms are loose and relative in hairdressing.
@@BobbyHairStudio over here a dusting would be about a quarter of an inch. As you say though, the main thing is the client is the one who needs to be happy with what you are going to cut off. I think you are an amazing hairdresser and very talented, and if I lived very near to you then I would be definitely coming to you. X
Max a trim is 2 inches I’ve hairdresser’s in the family. When my hair was 30 to 40 inches long thick and healthy. I never went to hair dressers because they always “trim” 5 or 7 inches an I’ll keep an eye on them when they do the first section and I’m like “my hair is very thick and healthy no split ends no thinning… that’s way more then 2 inches” an they’d always try come back with a smart answer. I’ve gone really short again as sometimes even if hair is healthy you still need a good chop every 7 ish years so it comes back even stronger and gives scalp a little break from the weight.
People don’t go in for brain surgery to think they know more than the doctor who honed that craft for decades. When you go to a cosmetologist, you also shouldn’t go in thinking you know more than they do just because it’s “just hair.” It is no different than a doctor, firefighter, lawyer, etc. It is important to listen to the client for what they want. BUT - I also think it’s so, so crazy about how many people go to the salon getting in a cat fight with the stylist when it makes no sense to pay someone trained for their expert opinion and skill in a field to then not do what is necessary to insure the integrity and health of your hair. Blows my mind everytime. It also kills me how people fail to realize it is the same amount of work no matter how much length you are cutting off. Again, it is the skill and expertise you pay for. Not the amount of hair you want dropped off the floor lol. I guess I’m thankful i’m an understanding client that realizes the artistic fields aren’t any less important than STEM fields, you go to a stylist to pay for their skill, insights, and recommendations. If I wanted to complain that they wish to take off more than I cared for within reason, I should just cut my hair at home myself lol.
i would never let that happen! there would be trouble!! no way!! always watch hairdressers, most are careless and loving chopping off hair!! i truly hope she asked for that to done lol!!
this method is very damaging to the ends, professional cuts are being done on freshly washed hair with scissors, also you need a straight blowout after that to further correct the line, how can women pay money for this nonsense their husbands can to for the at home 😂
Guys the client OBVIOUSLY asked for this haircut. She wouldn’t have let her post it if she was pissed about it.
Correction a TRIM and Haircut are completely DIFFERENT things 😐
When i had long hair, id drive 20 hours each way, because she was MY stylist!
But her hair is absolutely gorgeous 😍
Right?!
A trim and a haircut is exactly the same thing, can people just chill here 😂😂😂

Yeah..... no. 100% not the same.

So much better, beautiful!
That curly part when she straightens it it’s not gonna be even

Oh yess one time in Sicily ! After that sort of cut I can say I never had hair so healthy months after, magical !
Hmm. I always thought trim was 1 inch or less. Who knew it was 1 foot or less. 😅🤣😅😂

Love the end result, but no way is that a trim. Loads of length was cut off!
lol she asked for collarbone length. i created the video for views, trust me! a trim is 1-3 inches imo

Cute Af but that wasn't a trim. That was a hair cut. There's a difference!
Lol that’s the fun of the video! This very clearly isn’t meant to be a trim! A trim (to me) is 0.5-2 inches!

You need to have the hair wet or dry straight. Tf did you leave a wavy piece in the center it’ll be uneven.
