A very good video Terry enjoyed moment of it very very inspirational I trained with you at blackfriars when you were a purple belt now that's going back
This is truly one of the most inspiring videos of martial arts I have even viewed. I started watching it faithfully in 1993, lost the video around 2008, and now can view it online. THANK YOU. DO NOT ALLOW THIS TO BECOME LOST!
I studied Shotokan Karate back in the 80s and it was brutal I trained with a sensi that was ex Arm and terrifying but after 4 years I was changed from a sensitive person who was bullied and being 6 ft 8 and only 10 .5 stone but after the years of training I would definitely recommend this martial arts it changed my life. I still train currently in Taekwon do I'm a 3rd Dan Instructor but Shotokan Karate is still my grounding.
Terry is a legendary amongst martial artists a entire life dedicated heart and soul highly respected inspirational to thousands over decades like Sensei Andrew Sherry a gentleman.
Read Dennis Martin's great book "Working with Warriors", which has a lot of information about Sensei Terry O'Neill. He is a rare example of a man who used traditional Karate techniques and applied them in the real world, working on doors and in clubs for decades. Dennis Martin says you had to be there to see Terry in action. He was so good.
I was at this demo as I was attending a weekend of kendo practice at the local club...the 2 kendo sensei, Ozawa and Minowa, used shinken (real swords) in their demo of Mizoguchi Ha Itto Ryu kata.......amazing, let alone their mastery of kendo....and then to see like of Higoana sensei and the others.....seems unreal all these years later...
this great man master higaonna trained the late gary spiers and gary lived with him this is were gary spiers took terry oneil to meet master higaonna all great legends
When is this from? I attended a seminar with Sensei Julian Mead in the early 2000s and this looks at least 10 years older than that. Great upload by the way.
