@@pokeyclawz8727in honestly the worst way possible. You can ONLY get the one card you need if you buy a whole precon for 40 bucks, so four-ofs are 160 dollars
It's still legal right now, I got hit with it twice the other day vs a Fires of Invention deck. And with Rofellos legal as well this season you could probably hard cast it easily. Season just started as well, never too late to get back in!
I am very simple man i see plowunder and i have to watch the video. I loved the card during 8th edition, had a lot of fun with bloodmoon plow under put to mountains on top of your deck and they couldn't fetch shuffle them away.
I'm so happy to see grindy field of the dead shenanigans on your channel! I feel like it's a bit slow for the legacy format, but landfall decks just make me so damn happy. Looking at the list I'm curious as to why you're not running leyline binding!
Plow Under is my all time favorite Magic card. During Onslaught-Mirrodin (pre Darksteel) Standard i played RG with 4 Birds, 4 Chrome Mox, 3 Plow under, 4 Stone Rain, 4 Creeping Mold, 3 Molder Slug, 4 Troll Ascetic. It was pure fun. Turn 2 Troll Ascetic and then keep removing their lands. And with Bird+Mox you could also resolve a turn 3 Plow Under, which basically ended the game. Won a GPT with it.
That’s where I first heard the term Ponza. I remember versions of that that would play Arc-Slogger. Or maybe I’m mixing that up with RG beasts, with Contested Cliffs, Ravenous Baloth etc. They probably had some overlap. Either way, i love Plow Under too. I played G/W Eternal Plow briefly before Astral Slide rotated, so much fun 😃
1:06:20 Scion of Draco does not grant deathtouch. It goes Vigilance, Hexproof, Lifelink, First Strike, Trample in WUBRG order. (Lifelink feels like it's white more often than black but for Scion of Draco it's black.)
Played a R/G Kiki Jiki toolbox deck with Plow Under (could recur/soft lock with Kiki + E Witness) in Standard, about a million years ago. It was messed up and awesome.
YES! I've been wanting an uro plow under deck for so long! I kind of wanna see an erinis gsun or crucible version with mytic sanctuary and something like sylvan safekeeper to loop plow unders or extra turn spells.
Seeing how these Surveil duals are playing is really vindicating my ability to judge the strength of cards. I definitely called them as being a super valuable one-of in legacy just because they are fetchable selections
25:20 I was under the impression that Sticker Goblin is more or less strictly better in paper than on MTGO because you get to see how much mana you're going to get before you cast it.
I feel so called out for you calling me a sick person for liking Plow Under. That said, I only like green absolutely busted cards, and you're not wrong. But hell yeah, love Plow Under.
The lore of this deck is basically a solitary farmer pondering about going on an exploration, living from the loam, going up the beastalk, only to be confronted by the forces of nature leaving his land to waste with the only hope instilled in the eldricht horror that is Uro.
I was going to say that I don't remember the last time I saw plow under being used competitively but I exactly remember when: in 8th edition standard. Anyway, plow under is the most frustrating thing ever to take. Like you said: only for sick people.
47:20 I was thinking about lorien for tropical because i was worried about daze, since u want to maximize the chances of resolving force of vigor, and he did have it. I think that was a big pressure point and you could have probably won the game if you played around daze, just my opinion tho.
Commenting again to help with algorithm, but also to tell you about the metallic feedback sound in your mic that is jeopardizing the quality of your content. cheers!
If plow under is playable, would primal command be some bad-but-interesting spice for legacy? 5 mana, tuck a noncreature and tutor a creature of your own, plus a few other utility options if those are bad.
The sb probably wants a blue blast or 2. Damping Sphere is great vs Creative Technique and most other combo decks plus Cloudpost which isn’t common but is unbeatable.
R1 game 2 wouldn't it be better to bottom the solitude and keep the 3 plows? Obviously it would have helped against their specific draw but I thought that in general you'd rather just have the extra plow than a pitch card where the only white cards in your hand were more plows
M1g1 I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to bottom the solitude… I don’t see the value in keeping a pitch card over a 1 mana sword when their biggest threat to you is definitely moon and getting double white isn’t really doable.
Mana matters less than card quality. If my hand is already good or nothing is happening, why would I waste a Brainstorm just because I have the mana to cast it?
@@BoshNRoll your hand was two brainstorms you had a duel land and a fetch open. I think the card you could have potential gotten was better than brainstorm. Then the 2nd time you had Mana open a turn or two later you still still had a bad hand, but under more pressure. It was around 48mins in round 3 game 2 or 3 don't remember which. I primary play modern so maybe it was more optimal the way you played, but I just don't see it. The biggest downside I see is that because you didn't have a lot of cards in hand you didn't have a lot of options for cards to tuck. Looked back and the first time you used a brainstorm on your turn after not using it on the opponents turn.
If 8cast can do it with 4 “casts” and only 6 “thoughts” then I thought we could get away with it! Fair point though. (And thanks for another fun video!!)
super cool deck! but why would there be a ketria triome and not spara's hq? it's the same card just only in your colors, and ketria triome isn't facilitating any red pips... hmmm i guess like, for domain?
Looking forward to watch this video, but I am more excited for the same video next week with Triumph of Saint Katherine
Literally was just thinking this
Its on mtgo now? FINALLY, jesus lol

Literally “munchies” in Italian. Maybe he was stoned when he cast that 0 drop into his chalice
Bosh: this is a card for sick, sick individuals
Also Bosh: you could put mystic sanctuary in your deck and plow under every turn.
Cant wait to see Brian play with Triumph of Saint Katherine in bant-beans now that its on mtgo.
Love plow under. Awesome card design that you don’t see in modern day magic.
coward wotc fears the plow
Plow under is one of my favorite cards, used to play it all the time in Penny Dreadful in a elves shell

Because we don’t need to stretch into domain with Solitude doing a similar role. You could build it as 5c, that’s just not what this one is.
How had I *never* heard of Plow Under? What a nasty piece of cardboard! Absolutely vile tech.💀
Playing Plow Under in standard felt incredible at the time, it's such a middle finger strategy
Sweet, Plow Under is one of my favorite cards of all time! I want a one-of EWit in here for the extra salt 😂
Brian thank you so much for all the insights, level headed responses and humor I appreciate it man

My first thought when Brian is gushing over a 5-cost green card is to check for P-zone in the sideboard. Beautiful stuff.
5+ drops in green are having a moment
Oh god I love plow under! How do I like a video twice??
Plow under is a deeply, deeply hateful card. And I love it.

"here's uro who just urrives in play"
15 proxies in a vintage event is so perfect!
15 proxies to cover the Power 9 and duals in the deck, then fetches and threats from the last 5 years of Magic. Perfect Vintage deck

The first one is better if you get 5 or 6 from your sticker deck. It’s worse if you hit only 4s, then the second one is worse all the time.
Oh hell yeah. I love plow under. Let’s gooooo
I’m amazed that this deck wasn’t horrible. It feels like P’Zone is just incredible and is the best
Always has been meme
Match five "I imagine cryptic coat and stoneforge are in this deck" looking at a card that turns off both of those cards.

CANTRIPPING PLOW UNDERRRR
i deeply appreciate the fact that more and more cards of bant control are becoming farm-themed. who wants to plow some loam and plant beans
The lore of this deck is basically a solitary farmer pondering about going on an exploration, living from the loam, going up the beastalk, only to be confronted by the forces of nature leaving his land to waste with the only hope instilled in the eldricht horror that is Uro.
At 12:25 it may have been worth it to cast ending with x=4 since cards were a bigger bottleneck than casting the brainstorm a turn earlier
Nice seeing Ninjas again. I gave up on the deck last year.
Boseiju who endures seems like a perfect fit since it's a loam deck! Maybe try one of those instead of the one-of Waterlogged Grove?
Yeah there’s lots of cool tech lands to try in a deck like this. :)

Plow under needs it's partner Mystic Sanctuary
What are the damping spheres in the sideboard for specifically? I was surprised not to see any hydro or blue blast.

I like the Plow Under.
I am disappointed there is not also Stunted Growth.
Doorkeeper Thrull and Cryptic Coat would be quite a nonbo.

uro is actuelly just the best card again. in the new media that card its so busted.
Maze Island Trop Triome is enough to enable Mystic Sanctuary, imo.
I love this
Built to plow, forced to evoke… 😔
i was like, how is plow good at this spot, most confusing deck ever having 2 different plows!
plow tribal, also play colossal plow
In game 3 match 1 am I missing a reason you couldn’t crack your fetch for an additional zombie and double block bombadeer to be at 1?
I’d need a timestamp to look at that spot again, but I don’t believe there was a fetch to crack.
round 1 game 1, why not play exploration turn 1 and then plow? That way you would have had 2 mana turn 2 to play beans before needing to force
R1 game 2 wouldn't it be better to bottom the solitude and keep the 3 plows? Obviously it would have helped against their specific draw but I thought that in general you'd rather just have the extra plow than a pitch card where the only white cards in your hand were more plows

Round 1 turn 1 why didnt you play exploration and Swords?
55:49 lol
Need mystic sanctuary to recast plow under in a loop
Plow under? Really? You sick man.. plow has haunted me many vintage cubes..
Round 3 you had multiple times you could have cast brainstorm on opponents turn. Instead you wasted Mana and didn't. Why? 48mins
Mana matters less than card quality. If my hand is already good or nothing is happening, why would I waste a Brainstorm just because I have the mana to cast it?
