This is the first of your videos I’ve watched. I was completely blown away by the presentation. If the cars weren’t popping and in changing color schemes at the beginning I would have had a hard time believing it wasn’t real. Your driving and dialog throughout was so good that I watched the full 38 minutes with full engagement. Great work! I’m looking forward to watching you race a lot more in the future!!
Hei Will great race and video as always. Just a hint about your driving style if I can: you’re not using enough steering angle, you have plenty of front grip that you usually don’t use. It’s a high downforce car so you can be more aggressive on the steering wheel, this will also help opening the steering early while exiting the corner and be more confident on the gas. Hope this help mate, have fun 💪🏻
im only commenting to humbly give you a tip about thumbnails: your setup is so realistic that it just looks like you're playing in first person in the game, (it took me atleast 20 mintues when i first watched your stuff to realise those were your hands) So when you put your hands in a way that is unusual in games (holding them up, pointing, etc), it translates very well in a thumbnail because it doesn't just look like the game, it really helps show how good your setup is at blending the game with real life
Dude the full motion tracking on your hands is absolutely insane. So glad that this might be the norm of gaming eventually, even if it takes many years.
I had to LOL. Callum. They fooled you and many others. No hand tracking. They built a car/rig surrounded by frame-less high res screens. What you are seeing is a camera view on the helmet he is wearing, in the rig, while racing. In your case. You knew it was a sim race. I did not know that the first time I saw one some time ago. The very first time I saw a Boosted Media race, probably just after they had built this rig, they did not indicate it was a sim race. The driver's view was beautiful. My first thought. "I've never seen this clean of a video feed/recording from the driver's camera." The cab looked real, because it was. But past the windshield. I noticed the view was too perfect. Too clean. The windshield was too clean! Had me fooled for about 30 seconds.
Alright you wizard... Holy crap. I was about five minutes into the video when I realized "OH I'M LOOKING AT THE SAME SCREEN HE IS." I am awestruck by your rig.
Well suppose to start work at 730 but had to tell the boss he’s gotta wait till 8 so everyone is taking out trash as I’m watching this epic battle thanks bud for both the race and the short work day lol 😂
really good throttle control early on in the race, noticed you were getting slightly more on edge about the race as it went on though you did great! very nice clean race! i agree you driving the car more will help, especially with optimizing your line through corners too, if anything feel free to use more of the track to swing wider going in and cutting through the corner maybe when you have the room to maximize your speed on exit. but again great race, looking forward to the next, go get that podium!
I'm into DCS and Flight Sim myself, but I got to tell you it's a heck of a lot of fun watching your content. I wish I could build a rig like that for Flight Sim or DCS...
Omg so cool . Wish I had the money for a SIM rig looks amazing. Happy days . I have watched a few of your videos . One day when I win lottery I'll buy a nice SIM rig fingers crossed.. Look forward to many more videos in the future well-done bud . It looks so real it's so good . Its a nice dream . Happy days
The tip of the day is launching you don’t need to bang off rev limiter. Doing that will make you equal in terms of everyone else doing it. If you feather it with the clutch if you do use clutch for take off. You can get a better launch. But only if this is iracing.
great video! Any possibility we can know what kind of rig and system setup you have for making it look like in this video? Definitely not Quest 3..any possibility amigo?
Nice race. Well done Will. Pleasure to watch and great to be able to hear the drivers commentary at the same time. It feels like you are sharing your thoughts "live" or are you over dubbing after the race ? Thanks Will.
So so cool! I'd love to build a setup like this! Amazing with the hands at the start lol, on the driving, I think some of it is your car setup, I'm sorta feeling it watching you drive and I think it feels very grippy if that makes sense, I think you're carrying speed so good but the understeer is a problem, I think you got a bit too much grip, you need to skate a bit more, perhaps up tyre psi a notch, and then maybe make the rear a tad bit looser and that will allow you to "slip" around the middle sector much better, and you'll probably save a bit on your tyres too because you're no longer dragging them, but it's obviously more risky in the high speed sections and the first sector braking zones, slightly more unpredictable and unstable, but yeah you're losing in the middle sector quite a bit I feel, not sure about straight line, hard to tell cause it depends on exits mainly, but it does look slightly conservative in straight line, I'd make front pointier and rear looser and slip around the track with less downforce, you'd beat everyone in that lobby easy 👌 That's basically the Max Verstappen approach btw
Why door the kerbs look so different in Iracing? They are supposed to be yellow and red everywhere no? Just looks odd!!! Is this a really old version of the tra k maybe?
I would love to see what the guy behind you was doing specifically in the Chicane, I started keeping count & he/she ALWAYS cut 3 tenths of a second every time you guys went through the chicane. I am wondering what were they doing differently than you. Great video as always :)
Its easy to say sitting back and watching. But it seems on the corners where you say you were understeering your entry was shallow and you weren't making the apex which compromised your exit because the car at that point wants to push off the track at exit meaning you're trying to pull it back but the car is saying "no you don"t". I would be kissing the outside curb on entry so you can make the apex then flow the car on the gas out to exit curb. But like I say , easy to be an armchair expert. 😄. Whatever the case the vids are sweet as usual 👍🏻
I've never seen any of this hardware but I love racing games and have a G25 Logitech from years ago and still holds strong. But I notice everything shakes when you go over a bump - does your whole setup have force feedback?? I couldn't tell from the products in the link. And I figure the radio voices are computer generated but do they have a list of names to choose from?
@@boostedmedia I’ve been running the Invictas since August and love them. Was curious because I heard the adjustability of the Ultimates was superior. Any chance you’ll do a comparison like you did with the Sprints and Forte?
I don't! I just don't upload the many failed attempts unless there's something entertaining or valuable for the audience. It can take days in some cases to get one clean race worth uploading.
You seemed to turn the steering wheel too late mate.. Therefore too much understeer occurs.. But once you get used to driving these cars I believe you'll solve the problem you face.. Good luck mate..
Do you get the "huge wheel" if you turn it on in game? Such a challenge getting those side monitors to line up with your shoulder area and you nail it evetime.
Now I was also just wondering that I have triple 1440P monitors and I get the giant wheel in sim, and just puzzling over that watching Will’s Red Bull Ring F3 race, as he appears to have a perfect 1 to 1 representation, I don’t think it’s an human eye to screen distance issue, if we’re both getting it, and it’s a thing, I often wonder about the iRacing screen width measurement if it is a diagonal across one screen, or horizontal. Maybe it’s a trial and error thing or maybe you just have to invest in massive monitors, and powerhouse GPU/CPU. If you have the space!
Hi, could you give me some tips for the bezel free kit, in your setup everything is well aligned, not mine, I use 3 monitors of 27' Aver Nitro VG0 1ms, if you use the angle that comes on the cardboard of the bezel the image is misaligned ,but if you open the angle more, it's good, but I want to have the side monitors more closed to give more immersion, can you help me?

I agree with this man above@@boostedmedia
Stunning setup as always, flawless lighting and perspective. Living the dream.
Thanks. Still some tweaks to be made to the ambient lighting but I think the FOV is better for viewers in this one than the last F3 video :)
This is the best setup for watching sim racing on youtube that I've come across so far. Was a great race to watch.
Man I have not used my rig in months due to school but every time you post one of these videos it makes me wanna jump in and go for a couple of races!

Hahhahaaaaa! I was so confused.
So not VR, but the overlays are on his headcam. My brain hurts.
