GAME: Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a 2022 platform video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the thirteenth mainline installment in the Kirby series, as well as the first game in the series in full 3D, excluding spin-offs. The player controls Kirby in an adventure through the titular forgotten land called the New World to rescue Waddle Dees kidnapped by the ferocious Beast Pack. To complete each stage to save the Waddle Dees, Kirby can use a wide range of copy abilities to help battle enemies and progress.

It's been a long time coming.
So instead of starting a new short series and bum-rushing my way through it before FF16 and Raincode release in less than a month, I've decided to take this time to edit and release some of the long overdue and highly requested streams that never made their way on to the channel. First up, we've got the playthrough of my first ever Kirby game, that I completed exactly a year ago to this day. I started this playthrough up shortly after watching a video discussing Kirby's deep dank lore.

He already keeps all the modern streams on his Twitch by using the "highlights" feature to highlight the whole stream so it won't disappear, a known exploit apparently. So more than likely, after he finishes catching up on posting streams, he just won't upload them anymore since they will all be accessible on Twitch.

Kirby is very dark. It tells a story indirectly with imagery instead of words. Also the reason why Kirby is so cute is to distract you from how dark it really is.

Kirby first true appearance in the third dimension. And my god does it really go hard with how amazing and enjoyable this game was. I just wish it got DLC like it’s predecessor did.

I'm surprised Nico didn't gone into the rabbit hole of "I wonder if i need to play other kirby games" and discovered "The Kirby Flowchart".
I couldn't just play the newest kirby game all willy nilly, and actually spent so much money to get all Digital and physical 3DS kirby games... It was so worth it!

It's a good thing that this is the game that you're picking up the Kirby series on, Nico. For me, it was the original Kirby's Return to Dreamland on the Wii. But yes, this is Kirby's true debut to 3D. And I think this could be a new model for future Kirby games to come. And this is also the only Kirby game I've ever gone out of my way to 100%. Also like your Kirby lore video, prepare to face an eldritch abomination as the final boss.

It was by far one of my favorite playthroughs of this and not everyone played into the post-game.
Gotta let one thing clear, there was zero implication of the forgotten land being planet earth, it's just a planet abandoned by the ancients which happens to have cities and other structures, that's not so much a sign of humanity, just means they made structurally sound buildings and developed art, that's just a sign of an evolved civilization nothing else.
Game is kinda light on the lore honesty, but it's their first open area in a while, so I'm glad they focused more on gameplay
This is the first Kirby game I've ever played to 100% completion, and it was such a fun experience! =)

(Me being cringe for just one second but), OBJECTION! The original stream couldn’t have been on 5/2/22! That Forgotten Land stream was done on the same day as the kirby lore reaction! And if we take a look at that video date, we see it was uploaded on April 27th 2022, nearly a month before this video description claims! This is a blatant contradiction!

Oh hey, I finally 100%'ed this the other day! Hit all the target times on the bonus missions and got all the figures and everything. The only thing that eluded me was that gODDAMN THIRD TILT MAZE on extra hard

to highlight how WEIRD it feels to have a game based around recusing the waddle dees: imagine a mario game where the main plot, and collectible, is having to rescue all these goombas captured by the main villain. Wadles dees are basically the goombas of kirby, so its...interesting seeing them used in this way in Forgotton Land
Waddle Dees are as much Goombas as they are Toads. They fit both roles. Waddle Dees are usually just in Kirby's way rather than being actively hostile. Honestly, they don't deserve the ass whooping they usually get in Kirby games. In the first game, it made sense because Dedede was the villain and the Waddle Dees worked for him. But in most other games when Dedede isn't the villain (sometimes an ally even), why are we still beating up on these poor guys? 😅
I do believe, for the record, that there IS a way to check like a combo list or something. I COULD be wrong but I'm POSITIVE I saw something for that sorta thing here. maybe the minus button?

Kirby is my favorite video game character and will forever hold that spot. Also he is imo the strongest character to ever exist.... he can beat goku by eating one of the children and proceed to go super saiyan I dunno 5000 or whatever number is max power final transfomation. He kinda broken. (If u think otherwise that's fine I don't wish to start and powerleveling scaling wars or nothing) I've always loved the series and would love to see more of his games from ppl. Especially some of my fav ones from the DS era. Ik alot of ppl don't say it's that amazing but Kirby Squeak Squad still holds the spot for my favorite Kirby game. Altho I will admit return to dreamland holds a close second. Mass attack was also ngl kinda fun but then again I don't really think Kirby has any truly bad games. He'll his golf game is super good.

Meta Knights Voice has a Spanish accent cuz right back at ya and I still think that was the most out there thing anyone has ever done that worked so unbelievably well that I want to be in all Kirby going forward
