3-minute interview of Morrissey by Denise Quan. Topics: America, his 'feud' with The Cure and happiness. Features some footage from the 23 April 2004 concert in Los Angeles.
Morrissey was always the one to take the hard road. Did not rely on MTV or even radio. Just kept at it, walking uphill and against the current. Didn’t care what people said about him. It’s how we should all be in everything we do.
You think so? I would have said during the Vauxhall and I/Boxers period in the mid 90s. He was at his physical peak on the Introducing Morrissey shows. It's funny, when he came back in 2004 with You Are the Quarry I remember thinking "wow Morrissey is old now" but he looks youthful here compared to now
@Allow me No feud on Morrissey's end. He apologized and said he didn't mean the 'terrible things' he said about Robert. www.radiox.co.uk/artists/morrissey/morrissey-apologises-to-robert-smith-of-the-cure/
I remember Morrissey saying in one of the music papers at the time (NME or Melody Maker) that he didn't want to end up dressing like Robert Smith with his horrible trainers..but that was it..he never said anything bad about 'The Cure' !
The Smiths are legendary and Morrissey has some great tracks with his solo work and he's a genius for sure but he's nuts when it comes to The Cure. Robert Smith as a lyricist and musician is up there with anybody & The Cure are brilliant in their own right. Go listen to the Disintegration CD which is a flat out masterpiece.
The Cure could never even hold a candle... Don’t understand why they continue to be spoken in the same sentence as Morrissey… never understood why they ever were.
Morrissey is happy and doesn't despise humanity. My whole life has collapsed. I won't even talk about the fact that he doesn't really care about the Smiths !!!
@@Cmonbilly It broke my heart when he said that the Smiths were not that close to each other and would never get together again ! But your message just made me happy... and I trully wish you're absolutely right !!! To me all four members were amazing... and I don't care about people who say Mick Joyce wasn't a good drummer ! ✌😋😃😉👍
If you've given his albums after Your Arsenal a chance and didn't like them then fine, but if you haven't then it's definitely worth giving them a try. You Are the Quarry is a great album, as is Years of Refusal.
Moz saying "I'm Happy" sends shivers down my spine.
+Anthony Did he really mean it? Who knows. But it never lasts with the Moz.

Keeping our integrity and authenticity.
Lets not forget, Steven Patrick was into Punk before Punk was called Punk. He sustained that integrity.
He looked his best during the quarry period.

@@meinLiebsterFeind Scanned Robert Smith webs and found no trace of Morrissey's name.

I love The Cure and The Smiths. Morrissey's solo work? Yeah Viva Hate, Bona Drag, Your Arsenal. After Your Arsenal I'm not interested.
ACrackInTheWall2006 well we can all rest easy now you've bestowed your golden opinion on us, thanks so much what a relief
Actually, I agree - Viva Smiths!
I did like "Sunny", and its B-side "A Swallow On My Neck" though, and Boxers wasn't bad either...

Moz can’t not throw shade. Joy Division, The Cure, Depeche Mode, etc. they’re legendary without his approval
Robert Smith >>>
Robert Smith is jealous of Morrissey
Robert Smith is a freak
Harp Morrissey is a racist.
