This is one of those shows that I feel would work perfect in a videogame museum. Forever teaching the next generation all sorts and kinds of videogames from all generations!

Well, to be pretty specific and easy to understand without having to dig all the stuff. You play as the guy you have to beat on the metal gear on the MSX.
Thank you. It makes kind of sense that Big Boss has the same voice as snake in MGS3 as he's younger. However even in that game they should have replaced him with sutherland or someone else early on to stop the confusion. Spoiler for MGS4** Imagine how stupid the scene in Metal Gear Solid 4 where Snake meets Big Boss at the end would have been if it was David Hayter talking to David Hayter ? So, no i don't mind that they changed out David Hayter for MGS5 at all, and i'm a die hard MGS fan for life.
I know GZ is a better game than TPP. TPP is just an empty world with just a couple of interesting missions, the one in the hospital is the best one. And it's unfinished no chapter 3.

I'd like to see you guys try some more micro computers... I'd also like to see your takes on all stuff 80s-90s-00s...Commercials, toys, gadgets, movies, TV shows, breakfast cereals etc... Anyway, love the show, and thanks for years and years of entertainment, I feel like I know you guys!
I have to agree - I was a BORN in the age of the Micro-computer....And being a Brit - They were REALLY BIG over here!!! I know they never took off as much in the US... But I am sure you guys will find MAN GAMES that you end up enjoying... Despite how old and - Yeah, I have to be honest... SAMEY they can be!
Attack of the Friday Monsters on the 3DS. It’s like a Ghibli story set in a small Tokyo suburb where you play as the new kid in town. Every Friday night there are giant Kaiju battles that take place and it’s down to you and your friends to figure what’s behind it.
I was thinking the same thing. My brother and I loaned our Snatcher game and Sega CD front load to a friend back in the mid 90's and never got it back. I get pissed every time I see Snatcher pop up on a list.
I saw GREENDAWG!!! coming from a mile away, although I could also see Joe picking up Snatcher only to have Dave standing right behind him to take it. I bought Tron Bonne for $30 new and traded it in after I beat it. Who'd think a Mega Man game would be super rare and valuable?
I was expecting Snatcher at first. Then I was expecting a little piece of paper with something like 'Thanks for lending me Snatcher again' or 'IOU one Snatcher' written on it.
...move dildos. That's the official name now. I'm a HUGE fan of PSVR but, you're right, almost are are pretty short. I loved going through Psychonauts: Rhombus of Ruin the first time.
I like the Katamari games for the pick up and play aspect. The ability to zone out and make huge katamaris is really relaxing. BTW, watching your videos is really helping me cheer up after my boyfriend dumped me yesterday.

Pretty much any rhythm games can be about as short as you need it to be, I mean, your progress is generally tied to the songs you play, and to how well you do at each song...
Night in the Woods. I was skeptical at first, a game about cute widdle cartoon animals couldn't be that good. I was wrong in every way. Hilarious and sometimes starkly honest dialogue (probably the best I've ever seen, actually), a FANTASTIC soundtrack, and I mean fantastic. Not much in the way of gameplay, it's mostly just exploration and dialogue, but it has a trippy twist at the end and really endearing characters. Really pretty to look at, too, like a storybook. You can either run through it fast or do all the optional stuff, too. Highly recommended.
Never get sick of Game sack vids. Also super appreciative that y'all don't do the "please comment, subscribe and like this video," that all other 'tubers do.
I'm pretty sure I spent 20 plus hours on MGS GZ when it came out doing everything. The sad part is I enjoyed Ground Zeroes more than The Phantom Pain .
Joe, you look like you've been taking good care of yourself. Good job dude. A short game l have to recommend is, "Downwell". It's difficult and addictive, so you'll get a lot of time out of it, but it's pretty short once you get good at it. I don't know, it would also be a great choice if you guys ever decide to make an episode focusing on rogue-lite games. Anyways, long time fan, great episode, totally made my day, thank you!
A fun fact about Rez that they didn't mention (though you can probably tell from the video itself); the music is not only cool, it's actually _tied to your actions_ . Every time you lock on to something, shoot, destroy an enemy, anything, it'll play a piece of the music on rhythm with the backing beat.

I'd say the very first Kirby Dream Land game, Resogun, Super Mario Land 1, and Pilotwings Resort, which doesn't have a lot of content but has a great feel and soundtrack!
I dunno, ads seem like a small inconvenience to endure for a free service. God forbid these guys actually make any money for putting these videos together for their viewers. It's probably pennies an hour for their time and effort anyway. Whys everyone seem so butt hurt.

Beat em ups, fighters and light gun games are what I’ll play if I’ve only got a spare hour or two. You can get through most easily in that time, there’s loads to choose from and I’ve always loved these genres.

YES! I’m a HUGE VR Mark and I love hearing from people who have been converted. VR is amazing and the most interesting thing in the industry, which has been stagnant for over a decade.
Mark of the Ninja is an excellent stealth/action platformer with its own visual art style that's very cool. It's somewhat short and definitely doesn't need to be longer.
Nex Machina. It's an awesome twin stick shooter from Housemarque. Think Smash TV, but on speed and LSD--it's a good thing. Short arcade mode that you'll want to play over and over, to best your score. Great, super fast paced, eye melting fun!!!
Dazrael - yeah, it's just sad their games didn't sell too well. They're moving away from arcade style to more wide appeal style games. Im not sure what that means yet, but the company said they needed to change direction or face shutting down. That sucks--i love their arcade style games. Resogun, Alienation, Matterfall, etc., are more fun than most AAA games, in my opinion.
Some more recent short titles on PS4 that I come back to are Assault Suit Leynos, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Inside, Limbo, Raiden V, Little Nightmares, Wonder Boy The Dragon's Trap and Wild Guns Reloaded.

Shadow of the Colossus. It's relatively short if you know how to beat all the bosses, and I've found myself going back to it again and again for that HYPER-MEGA-EPIC EXPERIENCE!

Resident Evil games are super short in total, at least the first few ones. Onimusha 1 is also crazy short! Love them haha, many good short games around.
OUt of all of these games, I wouldn't mind trying out the swimming one because it's so laid back and relaxing. It's like how I enjoyed sailing in Wind Waker back in the day when others hated it or fishing in Zelda games. I've always liked that type of stuff...so yeah, the swimming one would work for me. ^_^
Another great episode, Joe and Dave. I felt like this one was made just for me. With a job and kids, it’s so tough to put hours into games like I used to. Nowadays, a 5-7 hour game is perfect for me. I recommend Gorogoa as another great, short game. Unique art style, mind bending gameplay, and can be finished in 1-2 hours.

Some of my favorites are short games. Like Kirby games for example. Proof that simple charm can make a game worth it.
One of my favorite short games is Journey 1.5 - 3.0 hours depending on the path you take.

Abzu is great. It's like Journey.
You only get small pieces of the narrative, and the rest is left to your imagination. Very atmospheric and cool.

pendragnx It's very minimalist in terms of gameplay but it's beautiful and relaxing to just exist in, especially if you like fish ;)
It's a lot like Journey. Not much narrative, but it lets your imagination run wild and very relaxing.
Also, there are hidden collectibles to find.
