I am actually buying my Reverso tomorrow so my opinion might be biased but Michael should for sure get the Reverso. There is more to it than a carrera. It’s perfect, versatile - can dress it up or down, looks great on any strap and bracelet, cool reverse function, can put a meaningful engraving. The carrera is nice but I just think Reverso has much more to offer.
Reverso, Ultra thin is there way to go. But then again I’m not a. Big Chrono guy. Plus, not a TAG guy either. Size wise the Reverso outweighs the TAG. But I see Michael as a sporty guy. Go practical…TAG, go with the heart…Reverso.
I have a 1964 eggshell dial Heuer Carrerra and a 1980s handwound JLC Reverso medium size. I have fairly big wrists but as both these watches are true classics the size of the watch doesn't bother me. Both will give you many years of joy.
I have a 269 movement Omega from the late 30s and it's one of my most accurate watches. It's a little on the small side for me though at 34mm (and I like small watches 36-38m). I'd like the mention the new 3861 Speedmaster movement. For a while when I was checking regularly (and winding everyday) I was getting +0.4 spd. Remarkable. Correction: I think it's a Cal. 265 And I'd vote for the Reverso, all day every day.
Michael definitely wears the Reverso! Both great watches - I very nearly bought the Carerra, but then lost interest in it due to it's thickness and so so movement. I own an Extra Thin Reverso and love it. It's a lifer. I'd guess my personal style is not so far from Michael's and the Reverso wears well. A true classic: versatile, subtle, beautiful. One of the greatest watches ever and super cool dressed down on brown. Great video, BTW.
And in the theme of geeky stuff that was noticed in the Gucci movie that weren't period correct was the pen the uncle used to sign away the company to Adam Driver's character. It was a Cross Peerless rollerball with platinum trim. Didn't come out till 2015. But they probably picked it because it was really blingy.
Not sure if this is really important for TJ or if it was just a joke, but at 17:44 you can see his face. Just in case you didnt do it on purpose. Oh and I really like the Heuer!
guys, between the JLC and carrera chrono, just go onto the Breguet Type 20: authentic, class/chic, 39mm chrono and it's a breguet for reasonable price 2nd hand, created before swatch group acquisition. And discontinued which means rare!
Great videos as always! Just a suggestion, it’d be nice if you two could do wrist checks since I always try and figure out what watches are being worn. Cheers!
I have a CS3111 on a T&H brown ostrich strap. One of your old videos inspired me to get it, it was my first ever “big” watch purchase and it’s been my favorite since.
I went into a boutique last week looking for a Polaris Mariner and just happened to see a Reverso Duo in the cabinet.. out of curiosity I asked to try it on.. I left that store and have not stopped looking at UA-cam videos of them since. It will be my next watch. Good luck finding the one !
If you are a car/racing/sports guy the Heuer is the only one. If you are a style guy, a signet ring guy then only the Reverso. It's about defining your personal style first, the accoutrements second. Not the other way around.
My first lux watch was a Heuer Autavia from 1968 soo big connection to Heuer. Rn I'm actually looking to buy a reverso. And honestly I have to say the reverso is the better fit. Idk just the feeling regarding Michael... reverso fits better rn
Michael, a little more info on your collection and rounding it out would have been helpful. However, regardless. REVERSO!! Timeless, classic, elegant, and really not bad dressed down.
I say, if you've got $3,000 to spend then look no further than the Longines Master Chrono. I recommend the blue dial, absolutely fabulous! The JLC is absolutely nuts, don't get me wrong. But the Master Chrono offers SO MUCH for such an unbelievable price is simply impossible not to recommend. That's just my take though. Ultimately, it's up to personal preference
Tough comparison. They are both very different and carry almost opposite vibes. I think eventually Michael will get both. Start with the one that stands farther from the rest of your collection. That is likely the JLC. But watching the video I got the sense the Heuer is the one Michael prefers
get the big JLC. i have one it's so badass. reverso is slim to begin with. the big one is still super elegant but they pop... which makes is so different to a tank.
Heuer, that's a special watch and prices are rising. You can always get a Reverso down the line. The Reverso is also not going to be as good at being a daily driver, IMO.
Go for the Heuer, it’s from a brand that no longer exists but the name is still recognizable. Buying a Heuer is like buying a double-stamped Grand Seiko or a Tudor Submariner… it’s watch history!
I use my chronographs fairly regularly to time various things (work presentations) so I would imagine a chronograph is useful to time sections in film production. If you already have a chronograph then probably the Reverso, though I've always found the Arabic numerals kinda flat and boring. That Carrera reissue is hard to argue against. There's also a gold version and black with white accent subdials. The Nivada Grenchen CASD is another reissue chronograph with a lot of charm, I own a vintage one and it's useful to time independent events simultaneously (cooking). In pictures it doesn't work, but in person it's way more digestible.
Of those two, I’d pick the Reverso. I think it’s a better watch, from a more interesting brand, with a cooler history. That said, since you want this to be your forever watch, the *Michael* watch, get the Heuer. It’s more you and will go with more of your wardrobe. Still a beautiful piece from a great brand
The JLC is just several levels above the carrera, you have to go with the reverso … and if you don’t then we know that all that herb got baked into yer head
Reverso as I wear suits everyday for work and I need a JLC in my life. Tag Monaco us super sexy and unique especially the Steve Mc queen one with the crown at 9 o clock.
What an odd either/or choice...you've got sporty -vs- old rich guy watches. Go for sporty, you can be an old rich guy later. Is the Porsche new or have I just not noticed it before?
When will Michael be added to the about us section of the website?
Has to be the JLC Reverso. A watch you'll never regret.

17:44 you totally missed his face
Michael please get the JLC Reverso. That watch is such a classic, looking to add a Reverso in my collection down the road as well.
I think it’s gotta be the Reverso, such a cool watch with how he dresses and I feel like the “sporty” watch is already covered with other watches.
17:45 full face shot of the "mystery man" if he's truly supposed to be more anonymous perhaps some additional editing is needed here...
The Reverso small second is just a classic, good with a suit, good with Jeans. I have essentially the same, on brown Ostrich and love it.
I have a 1964 eggshell dial Heuer Carrerra and a 1980s handwound JLC Reverso medium size. I have fairly big wrists but as both these watches are true classics the size of the watch doesn't bother me. Both will give you many years of joy.
i have 8inch wrists but the reverso medium thin has perfect proportions for me
y'all failed hiding the poor guys face 17:44
JLC are the watchmaker’s watchmaker… they provided movements and parts for many of the great luxury brands

JLC Reverso Duo is one of the best watches I’ve ever purchased, will never ever leave my collection. Good luck.

Damn it
At least I’m making a dumb face

I’m with you on dress watches with casual wear. Do it all of the time.
Same as with Santos, Reverso only in medium size.
I recently got a Heuer CS3110 and it is amazing. I can not take it off a unique piece
I went into a boutique last week looking for a Polaris Mariner and just happened to see a Reverso Duo in the cabinet.. out of curiosity I asked to try it on..
I left that store and have not stopped looking at UA-cam videos of them since. It will be my next watch. Good luck finding the one !
Reverso classic ref.250 cal.846
I recommend. Beautiful watch.
Christian can you mention the brand of your sweater? Would love for you guys to mention clothing in your videos!
If you are a car/racing/sports guy the Heuer is the only one. If you are a style guy, a signet ring guy then only the Reverso. It's about defining your personal style first, the accoutrements second. Not the other way around.
Michael's hair is always perfect
My first lux watch was a Heuer Autavia from 1968 soo big connection to Heuer. Rn I'm actually looking to buy a reverso. And honestly I have to say the reverso is the better fit. Idk just the feeling regarding Michael... reverso fits better rn
Great video as always! Can someone tell me the vintage Omega movement they referred to?
Reverso ultra-slim was my wedding watch. Flawless.
Get the Reverso, Michael. It is timeless elegance and suits you better.
Obviously the reverso...
But don't go too big, they're meant to be worn smaller, the whole ethos of the watch
Michael, a little more info on your collection and rounding it out would have been helpful. However, regardless. REVERSO!! Timeless, classic, elegant, and really not bad dressed down.
Michael, that JLC Reverso is pure class and would look great on you!
I say, if you've got $3,000 to spend then look no further than the Longines Master Chrono. I recommend the blue dial, absolutely fabulous! The JLC is absolutely nuts, don't get me wrong. get the big JLC. i have one it's so badass. reverso is slim to begin with. the big one is still super elegant but they pop... which makes is so different to a tank.
“Long story short” is never short
Reverso gets my vote. I think it is pronounced “Gran Tai” but I would confirm with a native speaker.
I am not a French speaker but that's how Tim Mosso pronounces it 👍
Heuer, that's a special watch and prices are rising. You can always get a Reverso down the line. The Reverso is also not going to be as good at being a daily driver, IMO.
Reverso, without a doubt. More elegant and sophisticated look on wrist. Heritage. True horology.
Reverso all the way. I am biased as I have the green tribute. You won't look back.
Are you kidding me?🤡reverso all the way ,no need to sleep on it!👍💪
Two very different watches. There aren't many Heuers I like but that is one I love. That said the Reverso is the one .
Go for the Heuer, it’s from a brand that no longer exists but the name is still recognizable. Buying a Heuer is like buying a double-stamped Grand Seiko or a Tudor Submariner… it’s watch history!
I feel like the Reverso is absolutely a Michael watch. Great choice
Theo, where is that sweater from?
Heuer would be my pick but I am partial to chronos and anything automotive. Both beautiful watches.
We must live vicariously through you, get the reverso!
I use my chronographs fairly regularly to time various things (work presentations) so I would imagine a chronograph is useful to time sections in film production. 17:45 for the blocked dude
Heuer would be my choice, would fit great on his wrist. 👍🏼
The HEUER!! Chronographs are just so rewarding!
Love the sweater Christian
JLC no question
Omega's 321 caliber is a Lemania movement. Made by Lemania for the Speedmaster.
I don't mind Heuer, but the Reverso beats the shit out of it.
JLC all the way… The Heuer is killer.. but DUDE the JLC!
Get the JLC medium small seconds
I would personally go with the 64 in 18 k gold white dial 🔥
Definitely the Reverso.
Christian's GS "Omiwatari" strap looks too long on him :(
JLC FTW!
What‘s the name of the glasses?
buy the tag!
I would 100% buy a pink seamaster
Michael always sounds drunk and TJ most definitely as well :D
Keep up the good work!
JLC. No question!!
Just curious. Did you ever purchase the Reverso?
Michael Michael Michael...there is only one choice..get the JLC and never look back!!
Buy whichever speaks to you aesthetically, and or functionally.
That said I own the Classic large small seconds .
Carrera, just because I have one , and I like to stick up for the underdog. 😁
Reverso for sure
Michael, go for the reverso
christian & michael have a serious "cosmo & wanda" thing going on today
Only one winner for me - has to be Reverso!
Michael, JLC all the way 😉
The JLC is just several levels above the carrera, you have to go with the reverso … and if you don’t then we know that all that herb got baked into yer head
You really did a bad job at censoring your friend 😬 For the first 2 frames of chapter "Why Does Omega Listen?" ( 17:45 ) his face is visible...
Reverso as I wear suits everyday for work and I need a JLC in my life. Tag Monaco us super sexy and unique especially the Steve Mc queen one with the crown at 9 o clock.
Lovely videos gents, but let's cut to the chase.... Where's Rollie? I'm missing my pseudo Italian east coast Dad.
Reverso hands down
Polo is a sport =). go with the Reverso
Used to watch a T&H a few years ago is Anna and Rolly still involved?
JLC Reverso all the way
The reverso all the way!!!
I vote for the Reverso.
Who is the bozo at 17:45? I can see his face at a slow speed despite you censoring it.
“There will be no pink Speedmasters”
*Swatch enters the chat*
i believe reverso will suitt Michael better. As investment maybe heuer works better
Especially on beads of rice
And ingraved iron snail
JLC Reverso, what else?
Immediately no on the Tag! Lol
They are pronounced: "Grand Tie" and "Hoyer"
Another great video guys
JLC FOR SURE
Where did Michael got those sweters?
love your video's but Gucci's market cap is $15.6 Billion not $60B... big big difference
What an odd either/or choice...you've got sporty -vs- old rich guy watches. Go for sporty, you can be an old rich guy later. Is the Porsche new or have I just not noticed it before?
