I appreciate the fact that we all come here for watch content but stay for the banter and everything else. Really says a lot about Christian and Michael. I originally started watching Theo and Harris for watch content but if you guys posted a video called and didn’t mention a single watch I have faith that I would enjoy it and come back for another one. Great work guys
The best business advice I've ever received was "Keep it small, keep it all." Too many morons walking around asking for tons of money for their played out ideas. My first business was a dog poop clean up business, most people made fun of the idea but it's what I could afford. I ended up making six figures within a year, hired people, started offering more expensive more profitable services and the rest is history. Everyone along the way was telling me to take on debt and investors to grow faster. Life isn't shark tank, and 90% of the time the long hard but straight road is the right one to take.
You guys have really grown to be part of my weekly UA-cam routine. The shop has also really done great over the years. The vintage selection is on point. Cherry on top is the personalities. Thanks for your solid work.
Really cool to hear how introspective your answers were to the most personal questions. Keep up the good work! Your content and conversations are great to listen to!
Nice work. Thoughtful answers. When I think back to where I was at 26, I'd say you are well on your way to ANY definition of "success". Keep your head on straight and your family close. All the best to you!
A lot of real life discussion in this one. This is my favorite watch channel because it isn’t just watches, however that makes sense. The personal connection with you guys without ever meeting you is amazing. Love hearing about the lives outside the watches. Cheers guys.
So I really enjoyed this episode. Fantastic questions Michael and Christian your answers said a lot about you in a good way. You both are authentic and real and I love that you take things seriously and don’t take yourselves too seriously. You make us laugh and make us think. Thanks for the work you put into the channel and into the business.
This was the deepest episode of T&H and I love it. I been a long time viewer going back to 2017 kind of seeing Christian's journey has been really cool and as someone who's 26 and really just starting my career I get what he's saying about mentorship. Not having a lot of friends my age. I personally think we don't have a lot of people our age just cause how the social landscape of social media and how we socialize now but that's another story. But when it comes to family I think the older guard doesn't understand the idea of being content it's always being happy. I really like the idea of Buddhism that the biggest curse is never ending pursuit of pleasure. The way to be happy is to be content with what you have be aware that life can change you can expand or contract in your career and it's ok and just welcome those changes.
I love the tone of this particular episode. A lot more personal and in-depth. Granted, I think this wouldn't work if you did this every episode, but once in a while, this is just pure class. Cheers boys!
I appreciated the candor and vulnerability in this episode. It’s nice to hear people around my age are going through similar stuff. Probably my favorite channel on YT.
Great dialogue, always nice for people to share openly about how they view life (with some asides on watches) . We can all learn from having an open ear to how others see the/their world.
I really enjoy the light, jocular and easy going report you both enjoy. Combined with a sense of honesty and openness that isn’t that common on social media, where some seem to want to curate a rather plastic perpetually positive persona. What you see, is what you get, with you and that’s refreshing. It’s also nice that you actually like and get on with your family, as your insta stories demonstrate. That’s both warming and enjoyable to witness. Well, another good video - thanks.
Loved this episode - awesome conversation. Having older friends who are mentors is so helpful - both to learn about success, failure & so much more. My fave question was 'What are you missing?' Doesn't sound like you're missing anything Christian. If you don't want it anyway, ya can't miss it. Yay to straps, family & the burbs 😀
I think my family would say the same. People always want to see you happy. And it's hard for others to sometimes see that what you're working towards is worth temporarily suffering for if they don't understand why you're doing it.
I have actually just been looking into Loafers because I want something to wear around the backyard other than my espadrilles. I love my espadrilles but sometimes you're hosting a classier gathering where a nice suede or leather loafer would be king. I think I'll re-watch your old video on the Gucci Horsebit Loafer because I really enjoyed that off topic series.
Really appreciate the honestly of the “successful” question. At 31 I do feel successful with my family and with relationships. However, if I’m honest, my ambition keeps me discontent and I don’t feel successful day to day. Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders said it best “I have three gardeners. Three generations of men with no ambition and they’re all happier than me.” That being said, my identity is not in my hustle. It’s not in what I build. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m enjoying this opportunity to be contemplative 🥃.
Never missed a single episode. Seriously, you guys make me look forward to new contents each week! Loving the realistic and honest takes on watches, I am learning so much 😆
Genuinely great questions! I feel ya on the "missing the young adult lifestyle." I focussed intensely on snowboarding training when I was early 20s, then went directly into an engineering degree while working two jobs. I basically missed that entire experience. Wouldn't say I regretted it. I LOVED my time snowboarding and I have a great career now. Those sacrifices lead to today's happiness. Adding to your good business advice: Always assume your competitor is 2-3 times better than you. Make lists of your strengths and weaknesses, and make plans to work on them. The late Jack Welch describes a good way to objectively assess your own business ("be honest with yourself") in his book "Winning." A great book that's absolutely worth a read.
Hey Christian and Michael, hope all is well. I am Miguel and I have been a fan of your UA-cam channel for quite a while now. I stumbled upon your videos as I gain interest in watches and horology in general. I was hooked and now self-proclaimed Watch Geek/Nerd. I love how your videos not only talk about watches but also other finer things in life. Be it clothes, wines, whiskeys (I now enjoy Cutty Sark because of you Christian), food and travels. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only fan who would love to see more of these “varieties” in your channel. I think it would bring more audience to you. I try to keep up as much as I can and kind of blend your influence in my life. But as a 30-year old father of 4 kiddos, their needs and wants are my priority. Which makes mine stays in the back burner. Love how you guys want to give it back to the watchfam and I would be so honored to be picked for the giveaway. More power and success to the channel. Cheers!
Such a fantastic and insightful video, it's a nice change of pace from the usual watch talk (which is obviously great). Can't wait for Michael's turn and keep these kinds of content coming!
Some interesting answers for sure. I'm going through some of those questions myself so it was cool to see where someone else is at on those questions as well.
Love the honest commentary Christian. I would love anything you have to give away. Been fun watching your shows since I ran across the channel a few months ago👍
Christian I 100% felt the same for so long. The mid to late 20s seem to be lied about in media and in society. It’s supposed to be the best time of your life or whatever. I either felt like I wasn’t adult enough or I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing. So I moved away from family which is really hard but my now wife went to law school and is a practicing attorney and we bought a house and are expecting a little girl. I’m turning 30 this year but I definitely felt lost for 5 years or so on what life is supposed to be at that age. Thank you for your honesty about how you fell and your mindset about what’s to come in your life. It was really deep thinking from you to answer your questions. If the podcast in anything like this with watch stuff thrown in I’m sold for life.
I don't know if you guys have the time to do it but "Off Topic" used to be one of my favourite series on T&H. Maybe you could incorporate this series back into the giveaways that you are doing?
Genuinely enjoy watching these videos every week. I would like to see you do more of those lifestyle alternative videos that you used to put out though
Regarding the watches in Hip Hop: I would beg to argue that Nas is really the grandfather or pioneer for the community. He’s been collecting since the early 90s and his collection is an eclectic mix of vintage or modern staples. His influence is seen in Jay Z’s or Travis’ collection for sure.
Gotta agree with what’s been said below. It’s been great to watch the transformation of Theo and Harris. I can count on one hand the number of channels that grab my attention each week. Not only that, getting a personal response to a watch inquiry and then purchase way back was superb. I know that when I’m in the market again, T&H is the place to go.
Would love to see a video on Watch, Wallet, Belt, shoes combinations. Maybe a video on accessories that compliment certain watch styles? Really cool that you are doing a monthly giveaway ♥
I completely agree on the leather strap for Rolex. I think it was about the time California banned exotic skins/leathers for consumer use when Rolex phased it out. Thats when the oysterflex strap started becoming a more common strap.
After so many years it was nice getting to learn more about the man behind the Theo & Harris watch shop. The new segment was like being a serious date and learnig "hey this is the one!" Although you and MIchael are very busy, a nice give away would be 1 hour dinner and cocktales at a hip spot in the city.
Here's the thing with the leather strap Day-Dates and Datejusts....even with the unusual dials...they are STILL sitting on grey market sites. That doesn't exactly encourage Rolex to build variations on that theme. I write that while absolutely LOVING to own one (green dial and strap Day-Date please!)
Old Rolex or just watches in general are so underrated. there is so much history in an old watch like a scratch on the crystal could have been scratched when opening a door while taking their wife to the hospital while having their first child or scratched while working hard on a job to get a new watch. My grail watch is a 1970 Rolex reference 1500 with the grey dial
When I see Christian in that shirt, I think of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble in their bowling shirts :) Totally agree on those beautiful day dates with matching lizard straps - would really like to add one of those to my collection.
This episode covered so many great topics like Breitling fall from grace could be its own video, like watches that saw mainstream attention from pop culture like panerai, frank Muller, Breitling just getting forgotten. The whole leather strap vs bracelet could be a whole video that analyzes pros and cons, personally bracelet better all arounder but a strap let's you really tweak a watch to fit your outfit. I have a colareb bronze brown strap that matches my meermin whole cuts and matching belt that with a dark navy suit outfit is on whole new level. This episode had so much and it came from the heart.
Great video as always love the laid back feel that you two bring together. As for the giveaways I think it would be great if you could bring back the Off Topic series and integrate that into the giveaways
I can relate to not actively feeling successful. I’m not an entrepreneur but I’m well educated with a high paying corporate career. My mother will occasionally say something like “don’t get a big head” and my honest response is “big head for what? I haven’t done anything that makes me objectively better than anyone”
As for brands that have fallen, Bulova isn't even a shell of what it used to be, it's just mostly gone as a brand. I like some of their historic pieces that they've kept around, but god most of their watches are disgusting nowadays.
Sacrificing the short dollar and working in an industry he’s passionate about, at least career wise, I would say Christian is successful. Keep up the good work and inspiring others to do the same!
Love the new segment. You guys mentioned leather goods, I’ve been looking for a quality leather backpack for a while. I’m deeply afflicted with paralysis by analysis, same as when it comes to watches. Christian, pick one for me!?
Best advice for a new business owner. Mistakes are your education. Education many times costs real money. So don’t sweat paying tuition. Just don’t pay the same tuition twice.

This was a cool story! Thanks for sharing it
100% agree small business is not rocket science…keep is simple and have solid systems 👌
Seeing him going into deep train of thought made me feel he really wants to give the best genuine answer for the viewer
Exactly right. It can take an extra second to get the answer out, but you can bet the answer is full and truthful! Cheers my friend.
You guys have really grown to be part of my weekly UA-cam routine. The shop has also really done great over the years. The vintage selection is on point. Cherry on top is the personalities. Thanks for your solid work.

You guys have definitely become my favorite to watch on UA-cam. Congratulations on the podcast can’t wait for more episodes!

Having watched T&H for many many many many years. I am really loving how down to earth Christian is getting or being. Keep up the great work guys
I really appreciate the thought out and honest answer Christian gave. Nice to see a more personal side
One of the best videos you guys have done. The questions were good, but the answers were very insightful and interesting.
Hey Christian and Michael, hope all is well.

Have you ever tried sourcing original parts to replace redialed watches so you could still flip them? Not sure if dumb question or not
Such a fantastic and insightful video, it's a nice change of pace from the usual watch talk (which is obviously great). Can't wait for Michael's turn and keep these kinds of content coming!
Appreciate you being so honest and open.
This is by far the best video I’ve ever watched on this channel and I’ve watched pretty much all of them. This is freaking great.
Some interesting answers for sure. I'm going through some of those questions myself so it was cool to see where someone else is at on those questions as well.
Really like this format / type of video, keep up the great work!
Agree on bracelets. Live the look of them on the watch, but I quickly replace the bracelet with a strap for comfortability
I like the honesty in your answers, Christian, no sugar coating there! I'm 48, and sounds like you have life more figured out than I do, lol!
Love the honest commentary Christian. I would love anything you have to give away. Been fun watching your shows since I ran across the channel a few months ago👍

Very good and sincere answers. The last one made me think about when I was in that young adulthood phase.

Love the new style! Are you going to have the podcast on apple?
Would love to see a video on Watch, Wallet, Belt, shoes combinations. Maybe a video on accessories that compliment certain watch styles? Really cool that you are doing a monthly giveaway ♥
This channel makes me love watches and loafers

Great video guys, a fun addition to the usual content. Really looking forward to the Q&A with Michael!
Great segment! Hope you guys keep doing this kind of videos!
Great video as always love the laid back feel that you two bring together. As for the giveaways I think it would be great if you could bring back the Off Topic series and integrate that into the giveaways
I love listening to you guys while I go out and about doing my stuff!
Loved the question and answers.
Any great vintage recommendations for an 8+ inch wrist?
Really interesting this new q&a stuff! You got me interested again. Good content! Thank you!
Your short on the 1953 horsebit loafer is legendary
This was an awesome segment! Excellent questions and even better shirts!
Great new series. Know that happiness is in the moments not the always. Happiness every day, not all day everyday but every day.

Sacrificing the short dollar and working in an industry he’s passionate about, at least career wise, I would say Christian is successful. Keep up the good work and inspiring others to do the same!
Love the videos guys!!! Appreciate the giveaways😎⌚️✌️Always look forward to watching😳
Great video, love the back and forth, massive amount of knowledge shared.
Cheers🤙🏼
Very interesting discussion. Thoughtful answers to not very straightforward questions too.
Love the variety of videos. It's not just all about the watches!
I love you guys. I’m very proud of both of you. Your parents did a great job ❤️
It is great that we get an opportunity to get to know more about you guys.
I was surprised by the depth you were willing to reveal. Nice job!
Glad you are happy where you are but always looking for improvements!
Good stuff, like the new format/style.
Really enjoying all of your Videos.
And even more so with the new podcast format!
Great work everytime
Loved this episode, was a joy to listen to!
Fire episode. Love the see variety in content!
Love the new segment. You guys mentioned leather goods, I’ve been looking for a quality leather backpack for a while. I’m deeply afflicted with paralysis by analysis, same as when it comes to watches. Christian, pick one for me!?
This episode was very insightful
Awesome segment! More like these please 👏🏼
It was one of my favorite episode, you guys are awesome!
You guys are always a great time. Good questions and great responses.
where did you find those shirts . quite special.
I can’t believe how young you guys are. Congrats on the continued success.
Christian opening up in this video made me feel appreciated as a viewer of Theo and Harris. One of the best videos on the best channel on YT
Great episode! Love the honesty Christian
Really enjoyed this one, nothing quite like a relaxed Saturday afternoon with a cool drink and some good conversation.
Best advice for a new business owner. Mistakes are your education. Education many times costs real money. So don’t sweat paying tuition. Just don’t pay the same tuition twice.
Long time subscriber here, this keep getting better and better. Keep it up!
More of this please! Can't wait to see Christian ask Michael. Also, please bring back Off Topic!
This was such a phenomenal episode.
What should a mid-range watch brand do in order to upgrade their status in the watch world. For example, what can brands like Mido or Longines do to move to the same level as Omega?
Endorsements by big name celebrities/movies/shows/etc.
Marketing. Let's take Longines, they have a good product, reasonably priced but they lack desirability. Tudor managed to do a come-back so it's not impossible.
Aesthetics aside, Omega has ties to major historical events and the 007 connection. They have great celebrity endorsements. Those other brands need to build in those areas to ascend to that level.
What a great segment! Your guys’ dialogue is always enjoyable to listen to. Can’t wait for Michael’s Q+A and more podcast content!
always a relaxing few minutes listening to you guys
