- At long last, after over a year in production, From All Sides is complete. My longest-running and biggest project to date, From All Sides is an album about fighting our own thoughts and inner demons. It's about the darkness within every soul, and the mental battles we fight against ourselves every day. The album is dark, yet has lighthearted moments that bring redemption to the despair of the more hopeless tracks.
This track, Heroes, is the closer to the album, and is among the most epic of pieces I've done. Joining me on the track is Bronyfied with his amazing guitar work, present in my music often since One Last Letter. The song is the only specifically brony-themed song on the album, as it is a song about the transformation the mane 6 have gone through from being ordinary ponies to the heroes they have become thanks to the Elements of Harmony, and their strong friendships. The song is about a final stand, a battle cry as they join together determined to beat the odds and stand against any villain, force, or darkness that they must face. I envisioned Discord as the opponent for this piece, but it's written with an open concept.

Reading Fallout: Equestria and listening to this on repeat was the worst mistake I've made in years. And yet, it's so glorious.

Any time I watch the show Heroes I think of this song. There's one thing that seems to be consistent throughout storytelling. The concept that when one's personal problems or whatever get worked out they'll be good and will do good things. That when they are complete, they will strive to make our world complete. They will strive to be a hero. This is not only true for the Heroes of My Little Pony, but it is true for the show Heroes as well. When I think of this song while watching the show, it's because of something particularly heroic. This is a really good musical representation and interpretation of the word "Heroes".
Actually, with the lyrics "embrace the heroes that we've become" I could picture Discord fighting alongside the Mane Six against an ever darker opponent.
The acoustic version makes me think of Minas Tirith... Which is kinda odd.

Well, it's always a plus when an antagonist turns good/fights with the protagonist, even for a little while. If you've played Kid Icarus: Uprising, you'd get this reference.

@@shockbro54 NOT CANON. The endings of inFamous 2 were mutually exclusive, but it was made very clear that neither of them allowed for a real sequel.
The one issue I really have with that game is the ending. All they really needed to do was make one very simple little change and it would have been perfect.
Just don’t assign karma to the final decision.

From the basic premise of the final choice you make, neither option is objectively “good”. Cole very blatantly points out that you don’t actually KNOW that the RFI will cure the Ray-field induced plague. What you DO know it that it will kill every single conduit, which are the only people immune to said plague. Meanwhile, siding with the Beast will mean the gradual end of normal humans as conduits rise to claim the world, but at least that option GUARANTEES that someone will survive.
Given the information available, the final decision is a gamble. Do you accept the 0.1% of the population who will survive and gain superpowers, or do you kill them all for a slim chance that it will fix the problem for everyone else? If you weren’t given a karma label for the decision, it would be a MUCH harder choice.
You have always been my inspiration for doing good in the world we live in, and your music that you make for us, brings us all together and shows us what actually matters in this life that we all live in. The ones we love are what matters, and we all should protect them and never let them slip through our fingers. So go, hug that special someone, say you love your parents, siblings, and tell them that they matter in your life and it wouldnt be the same without them. So go. Show them they matter.
When you and Bronyfied combine, it's like combining life and chocolate... a perfect sync of harmony and awesomeness.

I tried listening to the acoustic-for about 5 seconds. This is a piece of art that everyone should adore and wonder how you have the power to create such an amazing thing. Never put yourself down by saying one version is better because I doubt anyone can make a better version of this

I hopped on UA-cam, found the first episode, and watched it. Before I knew it, I was on Season 2, episode 11, and I loved it! Been a brony ever since! Seen all 3 seasons, the movie, converted 2-3 people, and I know almost everything about it!
I didn't care but every time i typed My Chemical Romance My Little Pony would show up first so I decided to watch it.

I keep on coming back to this song, and I keep hearing a bit of a Sonic vibe from it, too. I think it's the orchestral parts, and I may just be crazy, but I can just see Super Sonic and a powered-up Metal Sonic fighting it out in the asteroid field around Sonic's planet.

This song is one of my favorites of all times, because it shows how we can prevail and fight through not only our physical challenges, but our psychological challenges also. As Tweekitus has said, and I agree with, my favorite line is also:

Your point? Everything is on UA-cam; Imagine Dragons (for a random example) is on UA-cam, yet we still buy their albums. Buying he music is just a way to support them and what they make without them having to outright beg for donations. It's just a way to physically show appreciation.
