try adding timestaps and enabling subtitles
normally youtube auto does these
@@stubbyfps UA-cam has auto captioning but the timestamps have to be added manually. On a video like this they'd be really helpful.
@@stubbyfps you have to add time stamps manually
i think i did it, not too familiar with time stamping
Quit with your little TikTok attention span and watch a 12 minute video without having to watch skibidi toilet 😭
Hello bro, could you give me your opinion about which skate I should buy? I'm playing Valorant with my G Pro x Superlight and my Artisan Hien and I would like to change the skates.
I WAS SO HYPED FOR THIS, LOVE YOU STUBBY!!!!!

Would you recommend the jade pads or obsidian pads on a finalmouse ninja air58? (glorious cloth mousepad)
I’m a bigger fan of jades on everything
@stubbyfps thought you liked obsidians more 8:05
how about tiger ice v2 dots with zowie gsr?
What would be the closest in terms of speed to the finalmouse stock skatez on an artisan zero soft?
whats good for the artisan hien?
wish u went over the ctrl corepads and the v2 tiger ice
I’ve tried them both but didn’t have them when I made the video :(((
I’ll update my sheet soon with both tho.
The only issue with your testing method is
Feet size makes a big difference
And from rough to soft pads can completely change the speed as some skates are much harder and will glide better on rough pads
Tiger Ice were very slow on the Zero but great on a GSR for example
Still good information, cheers!
Yeah there’s a lot to consider when picking skates.
This is more of a general video, reason why I used the Saturn pro and others like it, very balanced product and great for testing quick skates on a slow surface.
bro used two camera angles am I watching Optimum Tech o.O
trying something new for this. I like the idea so i might keep doing it.
Are Obsidian dot skates still your favorite or is there something you'd recommend over them?
for dots, yes.
but i've really been like jade and obsidian pads skates.
Nothing else really wows me anymore since all my mice currently use a form of jades or obsidians.
Awesome video dude. Subbed! Love the chart thanks so much for the work.
So if i wanted most control id go for the 2s and 1s ln your spreadsheet? I get the vibe that its not ideal but I thought slower with more control would be best?
any tldw? no way Im wasting 12 minutes in something that can be said in 1
just go thru the sheet. all my recs are posted there
I use the superglides v2 on a razer orochi v2 with tinfoil mod AAA in the AA slot and using the razer strider mousepad. This is the best setup I have ever used! I feel like glass skates is not for everyone however there is something to be said about 0 friction and how it can actually improve your aim if you can stick with it long enough to learn it because the raw input you get forces you to have way better mouse control. I noticed my aim improve dramatically switching to 0 friction because It forced me to be more relaxed and loose with the mouse giving me much better control. It also lets me know when I grip the mouse to tight and when my aim starts to stiffen up because small minor movements becoming a lot harder to control.
TLDR: Glass skates improve overall mouse control if you are able to stick with them long enough and allows for 100% raw input and there is no better feeling! (also subjective)
I fully agree. Going from glass pad skates to ptfe pad skates I feel my stability and control are just so much better.
Do you have a recommendation/preference for the amount of dots you apply? I recently got Obsidians for my cloth pads and am curious of how many is "best". I stumbled upon your channel recently and have to say I LOVE your content! As someone who loves peripherals I love to see it! Keep killing it!!
Personally I do 5 dots. 2 on top and 3 on bottom.
Also appreciate it 🙏🏽
@@stubbyfps appreciate the reply GOAT! Bet. Imma have to try 5 out! I was on 6 for a bit but feel like my micro adjustments weren’t as good.
mf said GULONG skates
LOOOL. I have no clue what gulong means, just the r/mousereview discords name for them
Bro if only you could help me.. The mousepad that i most liked is the Zowie GSR since its a control pad and not too speed but i have problem with humedity in my room so i decided to upgrade my zowie to the LGG Saturn Pro Soft which is a bit faster and i still feeling it too fast even after 1 month of use. What mouse skates would you recommend me for LGG Saturn Pro Soft since I really like control more than speed? Im using the Vaxee NP-01s with stock feets
I think you missed something important - deviation. For example Corepads had (or have) a big problem with it. Sometimes 0.7, sometimes 1.1. Different thickness in the same set, sometimes even on one skate itself. Only to name one brand as an example for that problem.
How many of each skate did you test and did you measured each of them?
I don't want to talk down your testing and respect the work you put into it. I just think that it is also an important aspect.
Personal favs atm BTL, AliX Dots and new Tiger Ice V2 (the black boxed ones). Also worth a try, Hotline Games 3.0+ (some sites list them as 3.0pro).
only one set of each, wasn't even aware that was an issue. gonna buy some more of each and get one of those measuring tools to verify each.
Also I've tried the hotline games from amazon and they reminded me a LOT of tiger arc 2's but it was so long ago i just didn't include because from memory just wasn't accurate enough.
@@stubbyfps It was early last year when mates and I noticed these deviations, particularly with Corepad’s GPX skates. We ordered some more. Together with the previous ones it was only about 20 at the end. The half was ok. Three got replaced due to a deviation within the set. Two more had minimal deviation within the set. The rest ranged 0.7 to 1.1 but with no variation within the set. To be fair, we haven't really tested it since. Good chance Corepad fixed it. There was also one Tiger Ice batch with minimal problems. Not to mention some terrible AliX skates. Sometimes there’s a reason why a product is cheap =) .
In the end I don’t think it is worth wasting money and do a big test for every type of skate. But like you said, when you get new skates, have it in mind, keep track of it and if possible measure them. And if other viewers have this issue with a current order, they can add it or let you know.
I like the idea of this list. It can be really helpful.
You are right, the 3.0+ are really close to Tiger Arc2’s. I like them a tick more and they came as a set of two.
I really like obsidians, but I love the jades so much
How are the xraypad jade PAD versions? Im on the GSR SE and dot skates aren't really an option for me cause of the soft surface. Should i go for the Jades or the tiger ice v2?
i REALLY like jades pad skates.
ive only tried ice v1 but the jades just felt better for longer (currently using that on my x2 mini 4k)
hey man. i recently ordered the obsidian pads for CS2 since my Ice v2s felt a little fast, you think they’ll suit me well on a ninjutso npc? speed is between zero/saturn pro
they should be much slower than the tiger ice. Should be just fine for fine control with the NPC
Core Pad for the win. Superglides destroy your pads (dont try to argue this) I have 3 or 4 Artisans with 1,000+hrs that will say otherwise!
do you recommend corepads for the artisan hien?
If I am using a GSR SE Rouge (smooth glide feel) which is in the middle between a control pad and a faster pad, I use G skates and I am getting a new mouse, which skates will feel the most like G skates on that mouse pad do you think? also what skates are a middle ground, corepads?
Yeah core pads would be a solid choice.
Ghost glide edge runners might also be up your alley
Hello, bro could u help with something, I have 2 Artisan Hien one is soft and the other is xsoft, I’m playing Csgo and Valorant with my GPX, which skates u recommend for those mousepads? I’m looking for a great stopping power but also a little more quicker, because I use de stock skates in my GPX and I wanna change my skates
Ghostglide Edgerunners are my go too for stopping power + speed since they are only slightly quicker than corepads.
that poor steel series mouse.
Lethalskates don’t slow down unlike superglide v2 and are less noisy
my superglide v2 havent slowed down. but since releasing this video, ive found out that the sgv2 have qc issues where some people have that slow down.
This video is really helpful. I saw u updated the spreadsheet with the obisidian pro's as well. Could you tell me whether those are faster or slower than worn in stock GPX skates on a CLOTH pad? I think the rating u gave is for glass?
Obi pros are very slow on cloth, honestly think they are only slightly better than worn gpx skates 💀
How often should I replace my skates? I'm using corepads I've had them on for a few years
honestly a year is a good time to replace depending on the pad.
Have you tried the aliexpress ultraglide skates? If so, do you prefer the speed or ice variation?
I tried the speed, they are fine. Completely fine!
When did you order your aliexpress dots? The aliexpress dots I ordered back in Feb 2023 and now in July 2023 have diffrent thicknesses. I preferred the earlier batch which was thicker.
I ordered around the same times as you, my dots are all the same. might no doubt if they do have inconsistencies being they are a china brand (qc nightmare)
When is the black obisidan skates review?
I wasnt planning on it.
i personally dont like them on anything outside the skypad 4.0, they are just muddy and not fun to play with
have you tried btl ptfe skates on glass?
will soon, will update the list when i do
Are you getting stormbreaker? They have glass skates too
maybe in the future, not on my radar atm.
Great vid as always Stubby. So may I get your endgame recommendation when choosing skates for the Saturn Pro? Is it Corepad for whole skates and Obsidians for dots?
Yes, those are my top picks to this day For balanced skates.
Curious to know what your opinion would be about using the obsidian or jade skates for a lamzu atlantis on a saturn pad. I prefer a good balance between control and speed but I worry that the obsidians would be too slow or scratchy and that the jades would be too fast with little control
jades on a saturn pro is my main combo.
perfect control with enough speed. Obsidians wouldn't be scratching but they would be VERY slow on a saturn pro.
In ur form u said telos are fast on glass how fast a 4 or 5? Cause im lokking for the fastest for hardpads
best for glass would be jades overall.
@@stubbyfpsare the speed Version from ultraglide the same as jades? Or is it ice?
are those obsidian dots glued on to your monitor xd
Yes yes, I have like every dot imaginable on the monitor.
Great vid as always Stubby. So when applying dot skate we wont be removing the skates around the sensor of the mouse?
Some do and some don’t, it’s personally preference with that.
I personally don’t, but it doesn’t effect glide
Tiger ice v2 or xraypad jade you recommend?
jades imo
hey thanks for response@@stubbyfps
which one is most similar to tiger ice v1?
xraypad jades or btl dots.
yo bro what is the mousepad in this video?
superglide x nacho x fresh x conrady
do you recommend using obsidians over jades specially in control pads. Trying to buy either of the two. Im using an average sens to low sens specially in cs. How does it stack to tact shooters?
I personally use them on all pads. I rarely use jades as they are much quicker.
if you want more control get the pad skates instead of dots for obsidians
@@stubbyfps it doesnt come with my mice. Its fine im going to going to offset and put more dot skates to have more friction. It still would be fast but atleast it has more control than usual
And what a bout BT.L skates ???
mint skates, just didnt have them at the time this videowas filmed
@@stubbyfps Aha didnt know that.
Hey, LOG_PILE_Gaming recommended your channel to me when i was searching information about X-raypad Obsidian mice skates and as a fellow Superglide Polarity user i can say i'm not disapointed, amazing work.
I have a question about your spreadsheet, i saw that old logitech stock skates are muddy, do u really feel it on a cordura mousepad like an MPC 450 ? I'm asking because it's as been years that i try to persuade a friend to change his GPX Skates (got it since the release and never changed it...). Also what skates do you recommend on cordura for a user who maybe will change to a glass pad in the future ? (yeah i'm also trying to persuade him to buy a glass pad 😂because to me an ex-cordura user (Esp Tiger Blaze, great pad by the way) it's far better (faster and way smoother) when you like speed pad).
This year is the year for Glass mousepad, because price are dropping like crazy and some crazy looking design are released (thanks to Pulsar and Padsmith), amazing skates are released for that kind of pad (thanks X-raypad and their Obsidian Skates). I really got scammed by buying ghostglides edgerunner and i hope X-raypad (and their OEM variant like ultraglide) will be my end game skates for glass pad.
so many questions 💀
u really feel it on a cordura mousepad like an MPC 450? : Yes, the old logi skates im referring too are the ones are the gpw and g703, older
Also what skates do you recommend on cordura for a user who maybe will change to a glass pad in the future? : Xray-Pad obsidians all day for dots, corepads for pad skates.
pretty sure those where the only questions, but lmk if you have any others
@@stubbyfps 😅That was maybe too many questions at once, sorry.
You've answered all of my questions, thank you very much.
So the obsidion is better for glass and jade soft pads?
exactly, BUT obsidians are just as good on cloth just a lot slower than they are on glass.
Have you tried BTL Skates? I’ve heard they’re in the middle of Corepad and tiger ice
soon, those are top on the list to try.
okay ive used them for a week now and i'd say in between tiger ice and corepadz are accurate. I am liking them a lot on my Infinity Mice Vagabond!
How did u get the nylon 66 dots? And what are the fastest dots u ever used?
artisan sent the personally, they are someone the fastest most def.
@@stubbyfpsand what are the fastest dots that i can buy?
do you recommend the obsidian pads?
I like them but they are slower than the dots.
Using them in my sl12 and gpw.
Mousepad link please?????
Was a limited drop, not sure if they are sold anymore :(((
Debating between superlide v2's and xray jade pads.. I enjoy low friction the most, but speed is also important to me. Looking to get the least possible resistance i can, in the long run, not for a couple of weeks.. What would you recommend? I also like the thought of not replacing too often.. Which is why i bought the superglide v1's, but they turned to mud..
if you want long term glide, the superglide 2 will be the way. the jades have a weardown period but they are still really quick, just not as quick as the superglide v2
@@stubbyfps do you find the superglide v2 to be faster and have less friction overall? (both static and dynamic?) compared to the jades?
yes, without a doubt.
Hey! Could you please try to put the Ghostglides onto the GPX? Because I bought them yesterday but seemingly they don't even fit. They are too large for the bottom narrow mouse foot of the GPX, even though they advertise it everywhere as a GPX compatible mod (you even showed their picture of the GPX with their dot skates at 11:14 )
I’ll try it. Got a spare one I can slap some on and update you later (currently at work)
@@stubbyfps Cool! That would be pretty much appreciated!
@@DimaQxt i tried and i had to squeeze them in there, no clue why they'd advertise and they just dont fit 💀
I have been using arc 1 for my g pro x superlight and artisan zero xsoft for quite long, looking to tryout another skates. Mainly play CSGO
I like control mouse skates i have tried corepads, tiger ice and tiger arc 1, tiger ice are too fast for me i cant stop quick enough and corepads felt sticky on my zero xsoft cause me bad micro adjustment. Arc 1 are pretty much the best i have used so far it has control but not too slow or sticky for micro adjustment.
Currently im considering about corepads ctrl or xraypad obsidian (pad version) , i need some suggestion for these
honestly, ther obsidians pads are pretty quick compared to corepads.
I'd rec corepads over anything for "control"
May I ask why you want to try other skates? also were the tiger arc 1's faster than the corepads?
@@tinocabral4201 i can said arc 1 are smoother than corepads both with good stopping power
@@stubbyfpsjust bought ninjutso sora 4k recently may i know the speed of the original mouse stock feet in 1-5?
What mousepad is that it looks cool af
Superglide Polarity
Appreciate the time and effort put into the testing and the video 🫡 Only stock skates I personally like are the Lamzu ones
I feel razer hard the best stocks along side lamzu. Would’ve brought it up if I didn’t destroy my lamzu stocks 💀.
Do you think some jade dots skates would scratch on a lamzu energon?
they shouldn't, i cant say forsure tho as i have zero idea where my energon is
