Hailey in the OG reading vlogs: I can't get enough of YA fantasy! Hailey now: I've had a complicated relationship with fantasy for a year and a half. We need counselling.
I finished The Language of Thorns earlier and absolutely loved it! Leigh Bardugo is my queen. I miss Barnes and Noble so much. Their classics editions are amazing!
Marit de Vries it is both! So the stories are inspired by our real world fairy tales (like The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast), but set in the Grishaverse. It's such a wonderful book, I'd highly recommend it!
AjX SENSEI You're definitely right. It absolutely depends on the book. If I have a lot of time and the book is really good I can finish it in three days. But then I won't read another book for the rest of the month so one book a month is really my statistic :D
Hey I just came up with this book tag, but I don't have a booktube channel or a bookblog or a bookstagram. I would really like it if you did this book tag, it's called The Period Book Tag and the questions are these: The Period Book tag: 1. The unexpected period: A book that caught you by surprise. 2. The emotional period: A book that made you really emotional. 3. The messy period: A book that left a mark. 4. Cramps: A book that was painful to read. 5. Cravings: A book that made you crave something (romance, friendship, food, etc…). 6. Period products: A book you never want to read again. 7. The BLOODY period: The reddest book you own. 8. Heating pad: A book that brings you comfort. 9. The 2-day period: A book that you finished faster than you would have thought. 10. The late period: A book on your TBR that has been there for way too long. 11. The synchronised period: Tag (and synchronise with) your friends! Hope you enjoy!!
Hans Christian Andersen is actually pronounced in a quite challenging way, since it is a Danish name. Hans is pronounced with an 'a' sound as the 'a' in Halleluja. The 'Chri' in Christian is pronounced like 'cre' ind Creme Brulée. Lastly, the 'a' and 'er' in Andersen is pronounced like 'ar' in arms, and the 'd' in Andersen is mute, so 'nd' is pronounced like 'nn'. Yes, we Danes have a spectacular way of complicating things :D
I love watching these so much!!! Your such an awesome person and you're also fellow Canadian!!! I honestly relate so much every time you talk about Chapters and Timmies!!!
Love the reading vlogs. Really helps me to continue will me reading. TBR are hard not to add to. I'm trying to clear mine before Xmas as I asked for book for Xmas but it still over 100. Love you so much x
It needs to go through a few stages of approval (publisher and then movie people, and I'm pretty sure a few more people along the way) and then it will be up! So I really don't know when exactly, but I'm hoping for within the month! I can't wait for you guys to see it!
I have almost 1100 books on my pile so don't worry XD plus you read really quickly whereas I'm lucky to finish 4 books in a month, so there's that. I love your videos Hailey and I always look forward to your reading vlogs! Whatever you decide to do with your channel, I will support you
Yes thanksgiving weekend! Seeing all the pretty classics made me wish I could just drive across the boarder and get some but alas I'm to far north for that 😢
Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is one of my favorite classics! Classics are one of those things I have to be in the mood to read so I don't count them on my TBR either. Having been an English major, I want to study them as I read so it is a different reading experience from YA fantasy.
I just read The Queen's Rising and I absolutely LOVED it. I need the next book right now. I read it in a day, while I was at work too, so you know, it was good!
I read an e-copy of Queen's Rising a few months ago and it was really good! It was very unique. Different from other YA that I have read before. It was a little bit slow to get into, but don't let that discourage you! It will pick up, I promise! Hope you enjoy!
omg the copy of the adventues of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle looks so cool. You will enjoy the short stories but you should definetly check out the Sherlock Holmes novels... the sign of the four is incredible! haha I`m just a huge fangirl...sorry
I thought I had a big physical tbr...you make me feel better about myself lol I hope you get some reading done soon and manage to make way on your tbr. I'm trying to do the same. Also...your Barnes and noble has hand carts....so not fair
I'm currently reading Wonder Woman: Warbringer and I really like it. :-) I should be getting Turtles All The Way Down and A Monster Calls in the mail soon.
*Hailey receives bookmail* Me : ooohhh Hailey come onnn you gotta stop buying books LOOK AT YOUR TBR Also me : I'm really excited to see what she got lol
I am glad you picked up some Jules Verne's Books !! He is one of my favorite author but nobody on booktube talk about him.. I guess it is because he is French ! Anyway, Journey to the centre of the earth is amazing, I am sure you will like it! But for Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the sea, I never was able to finish it cause it is so long and full of description. If you want to pick up another of his book, Michael Strogoff is just the best. It is kind of a spy action book ! Greetings from Belgium 😀
When I saw Hailey pick up Alice in Wonderland: "Put it back, Hailey! PUT. IT. BACK."
It’s not a readin vlog without an Unboxing... or 5
“Oh no! The wrong cat is eating the wrong food!” Literally the story of my life #sorelatable
I should start getting ready for school........Oh Hailey posted, school can wait😂
Hailey in the OG reading vlogs: I can't get enough of YA fantasy!
Hailey now: I've had a complicated relationship with fantasy for a year and a half. We need counselling.
The part where you put down the camera to deal with Ella made me smile
I finished The Language of Thorns earlier and absolutely loved it! Leigh Bardugo is my queen.
I miss Barnes and Noble so much. Their classics editions are amazing!
Justine B. Is the Language of Thorns a fairtale book in Grisha? Because she was talking about the little mermaid
Marit de Vries it is both! So the stories are inspired by our real world fairy tales (like The Little Mermaid or Beauty and the Beast), but set in the Grishaverse. It's such a wonderful book, I'd highly recommend it!
TIMEKEEPER IS BRILLIANT! One of my faves books of last year. I need the sequel so badly 😭
4 books in one week is pretty impressive! I barley read one book in a month most of the time XD
isimady I can finish a book in a matter of a week. It depends on the book.
AjX SENSEI You're definitely right. It absolutely depends on the book. If I have a lot of time and the book is really good I can finish it in three days. But then I won't read another book for the rest of the month so one book a month is really my statistic :D
I love your reading vlogs so much! I wish I could read as much as you
I absolutely love your reactions whenever there's a new package 😂💕 Reading vlogs are definitely my fave.
I really like that you showed your trip to Barnes and Noble. Makes this girl dream ;-)

Do you know when the Dumplin' vlog/video will be up?
It needs to go through a few stages of approval (publisher and then movie people, and I'm pretty sure a few more people along the way) and then it will be up! So I really don't know when exactly, but I'm hoping for within the month! I can't wait for you guys to see it!

Lol your pronounciation of Marieke Nijkamp is the best I've heard from a non-dutch speaker! The first name was perfect
I have that Alice's adventures in wonderland edition that you were ALMOST going to get!
I found The Looking Glass Wars at my Goodwill for a 1.00!
You got marieke nijkamp right. I am dutch and i met her. You are safe
