Not to detract from how cool this exhibit is, but it has been in existence for quite some time, and honestly there is much more to be seen at Monterey Bay Aquarium. Dig past all the nearby tourist traps and spend the time absorbing the experience. Great student and disabled rates and completely wheelchair accessible

I live in Monterey and the aquarium becomes something you get used to after awhile, but a lot of the time there's still something new to see. I remember the time that an otter had a baby in the outdoor area that's connected to the ocean

Bruuhhh I live down the street from this place and the otters are our favorites because one time we saw a 1 week old baby otter sleeping on its mothers stomach and our hearts melted❤️😍😘

Went here as part of a tour six years ago and the jellyfish tanks were my favorite.
I went there over the summer on a family vacation to San Francisco! The aquarium was really amazing! Definitely recommend!

I live in Cali so I go there all the time! it's very fun. Its located in the remake of fisherman's wharf in Monterey. just a warning it's very expensive, about $150 or $100 depending on how many people are in your party

When I went there I didn't know it would pump water over the ceiling and when it happened I was in awe, also I was terrified.
I went there recently and also saw that. I remembered decades ago that it was different. It was literally like a half filled tank and a large pipe spills water into that tank/aquarium every few seconds (possibly the same timing that this one has). I wonder if it that was replaced with this one.

That thing scared the heck out of me when I was a kid. I just thought the water was coming inside and we were all about to drown.
