The reason why the other endings aren't the "real" ones is because the story continues, even after Vanessa was deactivated. By looking at the post-credits, this isn't the end yet...

Meaning that, we live in every ending. It's pretty weird but it's cool, since if we decide to save the humanity, we get to "play" their music further among them. But jesus, I'm really pissed off by those humans who couldn't let Ivy finish so everyone would be fine. At the same time, I'm ok with the true ending's face.
Humanity is a bitch... sometime. I would feel more shattered to know that Ivy is still alive after Vanessa is gone.

Except you’re all not quite nailing it. We may not have chosen to interact with the story, but the game forced us to. This final battle was not the first time the player has interacted with the story, as seen with PAFF’s trying to contact us “again”, meaning all the times she felt a weird presence it was us. This also makes sense when you think about how the player is viewing all of these events play out - like we can see into the OS space; all the photo and video files have things like “CAM” written on it, suggesting it’s from some sort of camera. And how do you look into the contents of a camera that is connected to the internet? By somewhat hacking it, and in our case, it’s the same power PAFF has/Nora had The mere fact that we played a chart to kill Vanessa is a game mechanic for the ending imo 🤷🏻♂️
Now that I think about it, a health bar would be a perfect showdown for deactivating Vanessa. When I first saw this battle, I thought we would have to deplete Vanessa’s health with the chart but nah, it was there for us to play. In an alternate universe, the final battle would make things even more interesting and a purpose to keep playing.
To get the different endings: Good ending: Respond to PAFF and Deactivate Vanessa. Neutral Ending: Do NOT respond to PAFF (miss twice) but DO Deactivate Vanessa. Bad Ending: Respond to PAFF (optional) but fail to deactivate Vanessa (miss the end 3 times)
Result : *WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD* Bad Ending : The start screen : Theme : Core of Cytus with awaken Vanessa but the surroundings are filled with plants (I think all people have died) and there is someone beside her (idk who is that). When you get to the character selection, the character image is like vintage colored (like it's an ancient pic). The name of the character and the level interface are written with weird symbols, Suprisingly, if you click one of the characters , there won't be any song selection. There are just plants on the song selection interface (like old plants) (Example : from Ivy's, there are only her screen for song artwork but it's filled with plants) [For Vanessa, if you click on her with bad ending condition. There will be warning signs like on Vanessa's OS if you reach Lv.25] Good Ending : The start screen : As the same as Neutral Ending (Scenery with Vanessa's blue flower). The character image is the same. Neutral Ending : The start screen : The same with Good Ending (Ending difference with good ending : No PAFF's narration and more different scenes) Sorry if my English is bad.
That’s what I think about that scene. Even if she’s not another Vanessa, it still looks like they are using her for some purpose, which means they’re still lying about not using ancient tech behind closed doors. Like Ivy said, humans (at least ARC) never cared about the history and hence repeats the mistake again. This ending may not be as wonderful as it seems. It just postpones the catastrophe.

I don't like that Ivy is (possibly) gone. Though I hope there's a way to bring her back, either in a possible Cytus 3 or a DLC. I'm glad I got to know her at least. I like Ivy a lot. To me she was the most interesting character in the game, hopefully this isn't the end and there's more content underway.

The voice acting makes this whole part more impactful like with NEKO near the beginning of the battle you can hear the sadness and the anger in her voice. I’m so glad they went went with VCs because just text wouldn’t have done this whole part justice.

Ok so I just finished cytus 2 and I saw the ending. Spoilers ahead. . . . . Gotta say... It broke my heart to see Ivy, my favorite character, die. Or at least that what it seemed like. Either way for her to meet such an end in this masterpiece of a story was beautiful yet very depressing. I hope that in the future she get her own dlc of her under the name of aesir. Just finished this game in 26 days after months of only being able to listen to the soundtrack. Everything was an insane experience, no other rhythm game could pull something like this. The 4th wall break stuff was very personal to me and it's just awesome.

man this is so good, the music goes so hard and its so so bittersweet and painful at the end when you have to beat up vanessa, so its this beautiful cocktail of feeling like a badass, feeling relieved and feeling sad as hell

24:53 just a theory of mine in Cytus 3(if it is on work) there will be a great war between the whole humanity and A.R.C and there will be some kind of twists like how the Danganronpa did (from mystery solving to tpp shooting game(Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls)) like you're using the character and play music in the battle field and use your voice/music(of the character) to create sound waves that will harm the robots(since sound waves can DO damage to metal) and will raise the morale of your allies

The only thing missing for me in the last battle was an actual health bar. Imagine having to actually stay alive during the shutdown process.

Playing through tears made it difficult the first few times but I still choke up every time I hear I...Ivy...

Gotta say... It broke my heart to see Ivy, my favorite character, die. Or at least that what it seemed like. Either way for her to meet such an end in this masterpiece of a story was beautiful yet very depressing. I hope that in the future she get her own dlc of her under the name of aesir. Where one half of the storyline is of her during her undercover preforming days. And the other half is her slowly recovering and being brought back from being shot. But both stories fade and switch between each other. Ivy was my favorite character and I hope her story doesn't end for good on the cliffhanger we we're given.

Just finished this game in 26 days after months of only being able to listen to the soundtrack. Everything was an insane experience, no other rhythm game could pull something like this.
The 4th wall break stuff was very personal to me and it's just awesome.

Lmao I’m like how many months late to finally getting to the ending, there’s been so many updates-
But dang, it’s wild seeing how far Cytus came? Like I played Cytus I back in 2014? And then discovered Cytus II around 2018,, I was so excited and surprised to see what was in stored, makes it worth the wait and sticking around ✨ same goes with Deemo! I’m also happy to see how much the Cytus/Deemo community has grown too if not shocked- I’m excited to see the Deemo movie and if there’s any more rhythm games/apps from Rayark, I’m totally down for it

24:53 just a theory of mine in Cytus 3(if it is on work) there will be a great war between the whole humanity and A.R.C and there will be some kind of twists like how the Danganronpa did (from mystery solving to tpp shooting game(Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls)) like you're using the character and play music in the battle field and use your voice/music(of the character) to create sound waves that will harm the robots(since sound waves can DO damage to metal) and will raise the morale of your allies
