Yes of course using advantage placements + will get you cheaper cost per conversion but in my case, although I get more quantity leads but on the other hand in terms of quality leads are worse. I analyzed that the audience network give you bad leads so that's why I excluded the audience network and kept using manual placements.
Ben, these are inordinately helpful videos, I've recently started my own lead gen business for property professionals here in the UK (got my first client!) and coming from a dropshipping/e-com background, I've run countless ads but learning the nuances are what I'm lacking so these are superb. I remember lots of what to do, what not to do with FB ads but as it's always changing, it's good to stay on top of them!
Very happy to help :)
Could you make a video where you talk specifically about going broad in your targeting vs. narrowing it down by exclusion etc. because all I here from marketers is that the creative is your new targeting in 2023, because tracking data is getting worse and not everyone uses CAPI etc.
Really enjoying your content on Facebook, Excellent video, Expert advice, Expert delivery.
I appreciate that!
I would LOVE to hear more about how you are tracking conversions on Amazon.
Thanks for dropping this value bomb🔥🔥🔥🔥
Happy to help :)
This is so interesting really loved it. Thank you, Ben!
Thanks for watching :)
BEN! Your channel has been a huge help to us as we launch a new biz! Thank you.
I have two questions if anyone can help:
1. We have a pixel. It's active and working with the events manager.
BUT, in the Biz Settings>Data Sources... it asks us to create a pixel.
2. Events Manager Overview>Connect Data Sources>WEB> It wants us to create a pixel.
It doesn't seem that any of these (or other) non existing pixel sections are affecting our events manager from tracking our existing pixel. Am I missing something?
have you solved this?
I have not found an answer, sadly@@IbrahimOlawale022
Hi Ben, first I want to say thanks so much! I've watched most of your 2022 videos and all of your 2023 videos in an attempt to learn how to advertise on FB and IG the right way. I've learned a lot and I now feel confident in my skills.
Now I have a question about your new technique for scaling. In a previous video you introduced automatic scaling by 3% daily. However, in your older scaling videos you warned against scaling by 20% as it would take too long and because this would lead to too much tinkering in one's ad account which would prevent stability in the account. So if scaling daily would cause this, then why do you recommend this new daily scaling technique?
you can scale with CBO
Start with ABO and scale with CBO
Ben, your videos have helped our small cleaning business launch our first facebook ads and get good results. Cannot thank you enough. Now my ads are running. If I want to change the existing ads into advantage placement, sounds like I should create new ads, but should I pause the old one or keep it running?
I'm very glad to hear that.
I wouldn't run ad sets with that same targeting and the same offer alongside each other. So I wouldn't keep the one versions running.
I woke up this morning and aggregated event management tab is gone and there’s only 19 placements now and I can’t select a domain in my ads. Also advantage plus placements are going away 1 July. So if you use it your ads will turn off 1 July. I also got a newsletter meta about all the changes and yup as I thought they’ve been rolling out the changes here in Australia first. My ads have really been suffering as a result. I hope they bounce back soon
I’ve got a video coming out about the removal of AEM shortly.
@@BenHeath You're a beast!!! I appreciate your tutorials so much!
In Travel Agency wattup (service based) ads Can we use advance option with Low Budget??
Link to the video in which you have explained more about which to choose .... thanks
Thanks a lot. I watched your previous videos were you advised not to use it for conversations. Thus I chose insta + fb, but pricing is crazy. Changing it now, let’s see 😊
@BenHeath Is there only 1 case where a client got an increased cost per conversion? Of course, the other placements also help to get the conversion on the higher quality placements (brand recognition). I think if there is only a small enough % budget spent on the lower quality placements like adience netwok it will be fine. But if its a higher % budget, with bad results then one should test removing those placements, right? Curious about your opinion on this matter.
No we've seen this elsewhere as well, but I wanted to highlight this particular case to help make the point.
What about service based advertising those who run ads on "wattup " Aap?
Thank you so much for this video! I'm wondering what else I can do to lower my cost per click, which is very high lately.
Thanks a lot :)
could you please make a video on personal adds . I mean the best settings to run adds for post engagement and followers ? Take love 😊
Good idea :)
Hi Ben - thanks for the great content. I have a question regarding ad sets & audience overlap.
If we are selling homeware (glasses, storage & blankets), could I create one conversion campaign with 3 ad sets, with each ad set containing a different product category mentioned above? The audience for all 3 of these would be extremely similar. Would this have a negative effect on performance?
No that's fine and that's exactly how I would structure it.
Good luck!
@@BenHeath thank you so much! Keep up the great work.
@@gianlucadamore9040 Thank you, your question helped me as well!
I'm in the office furniture niche selling different categories. From your experience, could I please know if using the above structure we can go for adset-level budget instead of campaign-level budget and not have the problem of audience overlap?
@@khursandshakeel8767 Hey!
Performance really tanked when I tried a campaign with different product ad-sets.
I have found much better results from running a single ad-set campaign with various different products at ad level.
If you are trying to target a specific product category I would suggest trying different campaigns for each, but the product based adset split really didn’t work for me.
Once, a "facebook marketing expert" told me to use advantage placaments, and the trafic went 95% do audience network, can u guess the result? Totaly 💩💩💩
Yeah that was bad advice
Coool, amazing video my friend!
But what if I need to set a conversion campaign to sell a course about instagram. Doens’t make sense to advertise on FB.
What do you think master?
🤘🏾
The same happens to me. Every time I tried to do manual placements CPP increases significantly.
Good to know - thanks for sharing
Hi Ben, you’re doing an excellent work. I’ve been a beneficiary of your videos since I started running ads. Thank you so much! Please, I have a quick clarification to make which is, I want to run a book cover design agency. Please which ads objective would you recommend?
Thanks a lot :)
That depends which strategy you are using. Direct To Offer you want to use Leads. Omnipresent Content, you want to use Awareness.
Should I do this for my roofing client for lead generation? Because we have been using manuel placement as you had told us to do so in your previous videos.
What should I do?
If you are optimizing for a conversion based objective then yes.
Ben, what if I’m running 9:16 vertical video ads (TikTok style) in a lead gen campaign? Wouldn’t I still want manual placements for that type of creative?
You can customise ad creative at the ad level and that would allow you to use multiple aspect ratios and run with Advantage+ Placements
Hi i was wondering if you could help me i recently did my 1st paid advert to get more people to my page. Before doing the add i was getting on average 5+ likes per day after the add finished its as if my page doesn't exist? Im not sure what to do now
Lead campaigns with message goals can better utilize advantages+, correct?
Ben, do you suggest turning on A+ placement in the active ad set, or creating a new ad set and turning on A+ placement in that new ad set?
I’d turn it on if you don’t have it already :)
@@BenHeath So turning it on in the working ad set?
@@matejantoncic9342 never touch working adset if you are satisfied with results. Make new testing campaign
Hi Ben, thanks for such valuable content. Regarding the requirements for a strategy call, is this $3k min ad spend in USD? Im based in Australia.
You are very welcome :)
It is in USD yes.
Hi Ben! What do you think for a local service based business to run an awareness campaign with omnipresent strategy ?
And Should the bid strategy select highest volume or bid cap?
Sure you can use this for that type of business and we often do.
You want to use the reach or awareness objective and maximum reach with your performance goal.
Genius content video
Thanks a lot :)
Can you suggest which campaign type is better for real estate other than lead generation.
Thank You
Leads would be your best option, unless you want to use the omnipresent content strategy, in which case you'd use Awareness
But if we use advantage+ placement, we are supposed to add all the creatives dimensions risght?
Yes ideally, but it's not necessary.
Hi Mr Ben, just one question regarding your service "done for you".
What is minimum budget for coaching business (Low cost paid Webinar Registration) and weekly target is 450 - 500 registrations..
Your budget is only relevent for UK market and its way too high..
We have the same minimum budget no matter where you are located I'm afraid. And we do have clients all over the world. Minimum budget is $3k per month.
Please make a complete course on FB and Instagram ads. Lots of people taking thousands of dollars for cheap course which doesn't work properly.
I already have one :)
It’s called Facebook Ads Insiders: heathmedia.co.uk/facebook-ads-insiders/
awesome
Thanks a lot :)
Hi Ben, a traffic campaign with the objective of landing page views, would a landing page view be considered as a conversion?
No, that's just a performance goal you can select. It's still a traffic campaign in how it is optimized.
@@BenHeath Thanks so much. Keep up the great tutorials!!
So would you recommend omnipresent on selected platform?
No with the omnipresent content strategy you still want to edit placements. That's because you aren't using a conversion based campaign objective.
Thanks Ben. Could you do a more detailed video. It’s very confusing where it comes to creating audiences in this .
I've got loads or more detailed videos on targeting. I'd check out my channel :)
@@BenHeath I’ve never missed a video on your channel :)
In this particular way the audience section seems a little complicated. It doesn’t let me add audience in the adset level. I have to create audience in the ads account setup
💪
We ran conversion ads for two different products. Two different ad sets targeting the same audience showed a significant difference in CPM after one week of testing. One ad set had a CPM of $100, while the other had a CPM of $30. What could be the reason for this? Is it possible that the market for the product with a $100 CPM has strong competition from big brands? Or is it because the product, being a new type of toilet brush, is not favored by META for promotion to its users? :)
There's no way for anyone to give you an answer without seeing the ad account and understanding your product/market share
@@thesoundmajors9858hey, do you market on META? Like lead gen or something?
Sir can we only select open targeting, without any interest, i want to sell shirt's in India
Yes you can. I would probably test other options as well though.

Hey Ben, how are you?
Is it possible to advertise weight loss and health product on Facebook and Instagram?
It's not some shady brand, I am doing it as an affiliate for a huge company.
Appreciate your answer in advance!
Yes it is, but you have to be careful. No big claims or before and afters for example.
Can someone explain how to increase budget for a campaign without being put on review for hours? And recommended by FB is to raise 20% gradually every 3-4 days.. however after we raise, the campaigns goes to worse
I'd check out my latest video on scaling :)
You can find that on my channel.
Ive found using auto placements gives me bad clicks, facebook feeds seem to be highest quality, most expensive but highest quality... Its for a local roofing company what are your thoughts im used to just doing manaul facebook feeds only...
Are you using the traffic objective? It shouldn't if you are using a conversion based objective.
@@BenHeath Messages objective....also I can not beat this new RECENTLY IN THE AREA VS LIVING IN, ive tried most things. Im now at the point to make a bunch of exclusion areas and cities. I work with roofers who focus on 10-15 mile radius and most leads comign in are from way out of town. Its killing my campaigns i have over 30 clients myself. Let me know, happy to hop on a call one day with you and pay for your time.
I know this is off subject but can I pay for Facebook ad's with my PayPal card? And good value video's.
I haven’t tried this myself but I think so yea
I think so if they can collect the money I use PayPal to pay for my ads there is no problem with that.
Ben my cpms are lower when I use manual placements.
Are you forcing Meta to use the cheaper lower quality placements options though? You can easily force a lower CPM but it won't translate to more conversions.
@@BenHeath I usually only select feeds and reels, stories and videos only and this results in lower cpms for me.
Let me see If I understand:
You're bassically saying that by toggling this option on, we're helping Meta cover their needs and in exchange we're gonna mainly display our ads in the same place we would like to display them (facebook feed), at a lower cost because of letting Meta this "freedom"?
Hope I clarified myself
It’s more like: if you deviate from what the platform wants, you’ll be charged more.
That might sound like a subtle difference from what you said, but it’s more than it appears.
Ben, is your $3K referencing your fees or ad spend?
That’s ad spend, our fee would be on top of that.
Do best tricks video for Service based business like 'Travel agent' who run ads on wattup? ???
Good suggestion
@@BenHeath
Thanks for reply 🙏
Can you make 'series based' video for "waatup" ads Perfect result oriented best setting strategies ?
sounds like they are scamming advertisers
Thanks :)
Facebook ads are crap. They, like google ads used to be fantastic but now, theyre both crap money draining crap. Facebook ads are dead. Writre your ad, put it here, see if it works. Its too much of a guessing game for me. Plus Im tired of watching experts tell me what I should do, I do it and it doesnt work. Enough already.
I think it the two largest digital advertising platforms aren't working for you, that is less likely to be the platform and more likely to be changes you need to make to your offer, website, etc. Hope that helps.
