Thank you for making a general store makeup video! I can't afford Ulta and Sephora and other "professional/veteran makeup" stores so I purchase from Walmart and Target. This video gave me several products to check out!💜 Please make more "cheap/amateur" makeup videos!
nothing wrong with walmart, target or drug stores for products. I doubt those who go to those stores are going shopping SOLELY for makeup and it actually is smart for your money and for the environment to do as much as you can in the one stop rather than making separate stops at the makeup store, then the discount store and wherever else only because you want to say you didnt purchase your makeup from a discount or department store
I really only get makeup at Ulta because it's far closer to me than a Walmart, I have to drive 30 minutes to get to a Walmart, but there's an Ulta just 10 minutes away. I really stick to the drugstore side of the store the most though because I can't mentally justify spending a ton of money on makeup, something that will end up washed down my drain
Just wanted to add that I too love the look that rivals many a high end brand. Of course your experience and technique have a lot to do with that too. Love your hair and the length. You’re beautiful! Thank you for your work.
My faves under $10: - Colourpop super shock shadows - there's so many amazing shades ($6) - The Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil ($9.80, I use this as a waterproof eye makeup remover) - Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara (price seems to vary by retailer, I usually get mine for $9.99 at Ulta) - Ulta Juice Infused Lip Oil ($9) - e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer ($8) - Wet n Wild MegaGlo Loose Highlighter ($6.99) - Nyx Long Lasting Glitter Primer ($6.50)
Oh! I never considered trying the rose hip oil as makeup remover! My skin doesn’t like it as a serum but might accept it as an eye makeup remover. Thanks for the suggestion!!
I love when you do this type of makeup review. I agree with you that L’Oréal has great lip products. I’ve been using them for probably 20 years or so. I especially love their reds. I was at T.J. Maxx a couple days ago and I looked at their makeup. I picked up a couple Revolution eye shadow pallets with 45 colors each at $7.99 each. I’d love to see a review of that brand. I also got a Christmas gift box of 10 Nicole Miller lipsticks. I really enjoyed the color options and the lipstick felt good on. Would you consider doing a review of her cosmetics line?
This is my favorite look you've done. Will have to try some of these products. I've gotten so far away from "drugstore" makeup and it seems it's come a long way.
I think that the makeup you used in this video looked beautiful on you a d the eye shadow was is stunning the blush was stunning along with the bronzer and highlighter as I said the look was beautiful
I have the e.l.f. truffles mini palette and love it! I also have tried over 10 different eyebrow products and I have found my holy grail, the L'oreal eyebrow pencil you used in this video, also in Ash Brown. ☆
What a great service you've given us today!! Given the circumstances of work in this Covid season...we can actually look nice over the holidays...Blessings ❤
I love all your videos! I love that you do longevity tests on the products! You got me hooked on the Wet & Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator for my everyday, sweat suit makeup! I'd love to see you do a vegan/cruelty free drugstore video!! I'll only wear vegan/cruelty free. I know most of the expensive brands are usually cruelty free, but like Maybelline, L'Oreal, Revlon, are not (at least they weren't last time I researched, which was a couple years ago.) Thank you for being amazing!
Running to catch up. Thank you for the great video . Researching finally going to wear make up again. My mother passed suddenly and I was always tired. So thank you for evaluating all these make ups
Can you show how to blend the two colors/products. I really appreciate your lessons and review of the makeup. When I arrive to the makeup area in the store, I am so overwhelmed. I just learned about primer. Elf products is becoming my favorite.
I also have that blush in Mauve! I have a gazillion blushes but that’s usually my “go-to” one. It’s such a pretty color and very buildable. Some days I only want a light pinky-mauve. On others, I like it to really stand out. 🥰 A HILARIOUS thing happened to me with mascara primer. I use the L'Oréal Double Extend Mascara. (If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a double ended tube. One end is a white primer and the other end is a black mascara.) One day I was kinda rushing with putting my makeup on. I usually put on a good coat of the lash primer and then do my brows while letting the primer do its thing and dry down a little. Well, this particular day I was fussing with my brows so much and rushing that I totally forgot to put the actual mascara on!😳I walked around for a good 3-4 hours with WHITE EYELASHES!😂🤣I finally noticed it when I looked in the mirror to check my makeup.🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t bring any makeup with me so I had to pop into a CVS and get some mascara. It ended up being a hot mess. The primer had dried for about 4 hours so you can imagine I had a rough time getting the mascara to look good. I couldn’t believe NOT ONE PERSON said anything about my white eyelashes before I noticed it! I asked a couple co-workers why they didn’t say something! They said they just thought I was going for a new look!😳😂 I’ve been known to occasionally whack on some burgundy or blue mascara but never WHITE!😂😂😂😂
Love the eyes! I need to give both those Revlon eyeliners a try. Also, your hair looks amazing! What did you use to style it? Been trying different tools and techniques with my hair, looking to get waves similar to yours. So pretty!
I have combination oily skin and the fit me foundation oxidized on me and turned my face orange, I notice it has that tinge on your skin when you first put it on too, the fit me concealer is really good though
You look so lovely! Love this look! I need to buy almost everything so I really appreciate the lower priced reviews. Bit of sticker shock when you are just starting out!
I swipe on liquid foundations with those flat cotton rounds. Unless it's a powder foundation buffed on with a brush. If I want heavier coverage with either, the cotton rounds work great!
That eyeliner is beautiful on your eyes, the eye shadows look great too. I cannot wear the ELF eyeshadows they burn my eyes! I'd heard that the Volumous Primer was rated higher than Lancome I tried it to find out and it really is good! Great product review
I am new to your channel and omgosh I've been binge watching lol. Your make up in this video is stunning! I love the e.l.f. bite size pallets also and you did a beautiful job with this one. I'm glad I found you. 😊💜
ELF "Minerals" (white bottle) is the best primer I've ever used. 41... I've been through countless brands (high and low end) of primers. The other Elf ones didn't work but the Elf Minerals primer is GOLD!
I might have to give the Fit Me foundation another try. I used it once a few years ago and found it was too watery and didn't provide enough coverage for even small breakouts or dark spots. I gave it to my mom and she has had excellent results. Perhaps I was applying it wrong.
So for your dry places do you think that a good moisturizer before the primer would help with that or not ? I am normal to sometimes really dry skin what do you think? Love ya and all your videos can’t wait for the next one. Oh yeah and the eyeliners I am going to have to try. I can’t find a good one that doesn’t transfer or skip. I am very excited to try.
I’m new to your channel and I’m loving your videos but I can’t help but chuckle a little every time you say “this right here” 😉. Have you tried the new L’Oréal serum foundation? Curious your thoughts on it.
@@juliehowell169 🙋♀️No, I don’t use a primer - but I finish off with a light dusting of loose powder. I get compliments often on my skin. I have however faithfully moisturized am and pm since my 30’s, and I am 75. gulp.👍🥰🎄🎁💕
@@juliehowell169 I use two primers. Both elf. Putty primer and a pore one. For me the fit me never settles in lines. I do put some lid primer on the deep wrinkles. This foundation just loves my skin. After menopause my skin has gone from oily to normal if that helps.
I have yet to go outside with my Maybelline matte and poreless once and someone didn't stop to ask me what foundation I am wearing. I don't get as many compliments on my high end foundations as much as my Maybelline foundations
Have you repurchased since they changed it? There are loads of reviews saying that if you get the old style bottle then it's fantastic but the new one isn't as good.
@@jessicalynn8746 my bad, I was thinking of the Superstay one! 🤦🏻♀️ I am such a dumbass! 😂 😂 Is it the same formula whether you get it in the plastic tube or the glass bottle? I've seen both for both types of the FitMe and not sure why.

I have the setting spray and I don’t care for it. I love my fit me foundation. I have the lash primer and the mascara that comes in the pack with the lash primer. Love those. But for a primer, the elf mint primer.
Same! I’ve been using ELF’s Poreless Putty Primer for over a year now. I LOVE IT! Not sure about the exact ingredients in it but it’s not like your typical slippy, oily, greasy primers. It literally looks and feels like a soft putty that melts into your skin. It has hyaluronic acid, peptides and Squalene. It also comes in a matte and luminous formula. I’m in total agreement. If you’re able to afford to invest in skincare, it will help any makeup to appear high end.
Try Lakme if it's available in your country. It's 9 to 5 range is beautiful
