I've not rided in years 15 or so. Saw A ZX14R a Passion Red one, bought it that day. Went on a 3 state road trip, had a great time. No problems, fast, very quick. Advice for those who are thinking about a ZX14R, get it. Don't ride beyond your ability, keep your distance, baby the throttle and the brakes and you will NOT be disappointed. At 67 I ride my dream every day I can. I also have a C-14, same advice goes.
My first bike ever is my zx14r I never ridden anything else. I’ve learned on that bike , took my time and I’ve grown into the bike. It’s all about the throttle hand and controlling,Yes it was intimidating at first, but I didn’t want to keep upgrading bikes! Now i never regretted getting it.💪🏾 I love it!
I have a 2021 zx14r. It was my dream bike. I added some Yoshimura slip-ons, Sprint air filter Vortex rear sets, Healtech quick shifter, and flashed the ECU through Ivan’s Performance. Now the bike is perfect. I’ve ridden many bikes. Some faster than the zx14r, but nothing compares to the 14. The new Busa comes close. Once you sell it you will miss it.
I'm 75 and ride a Zx14r and i went 21 years between my last bike which was a FZR1000, took off like it was yesterday. This bike is comfortable the Yamaha and BMW are not but then your still a young guy.Good video, enjoy!
being 57 years old and been riding sport bikes my whole adult life . the xz14r also was my dream bike . in 2018 walked in to a kawaski dealership and bought a brand new zx14rse and love it . i also have a 1986 zx1000r that is in awesome shape and ride it all the time . great video 👍
I started riding streetbikes in 1990(ish). Mostly Suzuki gsxr’s and such. Had a bad accident in ‘94 where I was out of work for 3 months. Was back riding with a cast on my left arm and wrist(which was shattered). Still ride to this day and love my current ride, a 2019 ZX14R.
The zx14 is a great long distance riding bike. I am gonna go with the hyabusa due to loving the look of it. I have been riding 2 years on a k6 gsxr 600, the little 600 is a great bike for riding around town in short distances. I rode that thing for 8 hours straight except for gas and It was rough.
Subbed and following you a while on Tiktok. Have a zx14 myself and had a 08 CBR1000RR before. Love the content. Glad to hear your back after such a bad accident
I'm glad this wasn't your first bike.. But it's all about handling the weight and throttle control... I'm on my 3 ZX14 (2 Gen 1's and now a Gen 2) I love em💚💚💚
I had a bad accident too at one time but ya . I started riding again after 6 or 7 years . Had to really come to terms with the idea of getting back on one again.
Once you ride the love never goes away unless your passion leaves for riding. I crashed in 2022 Feb 14th. My Bussa is on this page and i have had many types of bikes and style I love riding and since then I have been riding all my homebody bikes and my brother Bike. i love bike my passion has not left me at all. and iam on the hunt now 2024 for a new one but i keep my skills brushed up. i layed mine down on gravel
Makes a lot of sense, get it when you can, the younger the better. However, the bug never really goes away. When I was younger and had my young kids, I swapped my bike for a little sports car because it was safer. Years later I picked up another sports bike. I’m getting older now and will be perfectly fine with a cool bagger when I can swing it. Hopefully someday I’ll be an old man out there riding with my grandkids.
They aren't super sports. Supersport is 600/750cc , 1000cc is Superbike... The Hayabusa and ZX14 are Sport Touring Bikes. They don't have racing style clip ons
Hey dude don’t want to pressure you or anything but what was the context behind the crash? I am in high school and seriously considering if I should get one. Thanks!
Keep the 14, the only upgrade from there is a H2, R1s are great for short trips but longer rides are not so great, same with S1000RRR, Can't beat the big Ninja, steer better than a busa, primary balanced so no buzz through the grips and foot pegs. All around a better bike, just not as popular.
I agree on your motorcycle ownership philosophy. You need to do it while you're young-ish. Now, I will say, I only got into Sport/Super/Hyper bikes, when I was in my early 30's. Had I gotten a 600, 1,000 or larger when I was a teenager, I think there is a pretty good chance that I wouldn't still be here today. Because, like most teenage guys, I had more balls than brains, and that combined with the performance of a proper Sportbike, is a recipe for disaster. Earn your stripes when you're young, on smaller bikes. Make a few stupid mistakes that you'll recover from, and LEARN from those mistakes. THEN, go forward with wisdom and experience and get the fast bikes. Personally, I'm getting up there in ny years, a bit. Last season I had a run-in with a d-bag in a BMW EV SUV, that thought he was hot-$h1t. He cut me off intentionally (on the freeway) coming extremely close to my front wheel. Unfortunately, I took the bait, and a stupidity battle ensued. He kept coming into my lane and trying to intimidate me. Ugh. I'm more than old enough to know better. I should have just let it go, shook it off and gotten away from him. But that situation really made me think about how many times during that situation, that it could have been the end for me. His vehicle could have EASILY crushed my leg, coming over at me, or thrown me off at freeway speeds and then gotten run over by a semi truck, etc etc. My 14R is my dream bike, and it took me 10+ years to get it. They aren't making them anymore, and we'll never see them again in this engine size, with all of the electric BS being pushed. Even so... it may be time to give her up. Never thought I'd say that, but here I am.
You know you tricked us thinking this was your first bike. But we forgive you because you had an accident and you bought maybe the most beautiful big bike ever made ha ha. I think this bike is 100% nicer looking than a Busa! The 40th addition is absolutely gorgeous. If I was a bigger guy I'd buy it. Please don't buy a R1 or S1000. Common street racer stereotype. You're riding the classiest bike made! I do have one question; why no cruise control?
I appreciate it. I’m not sure why Kawasaki didn’t include cruise control. To me it’s more of a sport touring, but I’m pretty sure the concourse 14 has it though.
Hey OneKJay >> > ride the piss outta the bike you're sitting on & then go buy another..... lol, you don't have to jump around like bikes are women.... I already thought you were honest when you were just talking to us so I don't understand your saying it more than 2 times...... something little to ask yourself about? peace & nice bike
You can DEFINITELY ride your entire life if you play your cards right
i mean he didnt say that, he just said that wasnt his thing

welcome back in the saddle!
I’m 40 and have both my dream bikes in the garage. The 2020 Sportster S and 2019 Hayabusa.
I said why wait? I’ll probably stop riding in my 50’s.
That’s how you do it !

That zx10 is amazing man
Good for you for "getting back on the horse" after your accident. Stay safe and watch out for the moto-haters on the road.
Beautiful bike! 🔥 content bro!
Appreciate it!!
Is you’re bright lights on? i always ride with brights on. Drivers can see me. 😊

fuck it bro i’m getting a zx14 as a first bike 😭😭😭
Sweet!
Everybody knew to bike riding should definitely start on something like a Kawasaki 400 or a Yamaha r3 not a liter bike
Yeah, if you are new to riding a liter bike isn’t even practical
first lesson:
dont ever leave your helmet on the ground.
You could get a bug crawling into your ear on a ride.
Ride safe brother.
Its a hyper. 😊
Clickbait title! It's by far not your first bike.
As a real first bike, it's one of the fastest ways to die young.
Alot of rev and not matching it
Whatched about 25 seconds, I'm sick of bullshit titles!
