My brother sang the ''growing old with you'' song at his wedding and he isn't a singer by any means so it made the moment even more special & he nailed it hehe
My favorite line about Steve Buscemi: The visual representation of a human cigarette My favorite line from Steve Buscemi: Hello fellow kids. I'm a high school student too
The Wedding Singer is the first movie I ever saw that set itself in the 1980s as a period piece. So it set a lot of the tropes for what people think of as 80s. Mostly it's stuff that people stopped doing in the 90s that's defines itself as 80s.
@@NiceDudeMovieNightlikewise the first movie I saw that set itself as 70s period piece was a comedy called "Spirit of '76" which was made in 1990. It made light of a lot of 70s fashion, music, politics and language. Worth reacting to.
One of the best Adam Sandler movies, love this movie. Also I know Adam Sandler sings, but he would also make a good rock/metal singer. That song is dark, but he goes at it hard lol.
You Definitely need to check out the other two movies that these two did together, also romcoms.. 50 First Dates and Blended.. Very worth the watch.. :) They keep this same silly but serious approach to them..
I'm not particularly an Adam Sandler fan, but I did enjoy this movie. He and Drew Barrymore and very good together on screen. For RomComs I like: Clueless (1995); Blast From the Past (1999); Continental Divide (1981); Knotting Hill (1999); Warm Bodies (2013); Romancing the Stone (1984); The Princess Bride (1987).
Don't feel bad, that song on the plane always gets me too. Fun fact: one of the script doctors on this was Carrie Fisher who went back and rewrote a lot of the female parts to make them punchier. If you haven't seen Big Daddy I'd recommend that - a lot of the same supporting cast as well
Yesss Big Daddy is another decent sappy Sandler flick, haha. And that's super cool, we had no idea Carrie Fisher was involved in this at all! Thanks for sharing and watching! 😁
This is one of my favorite rom coms of all time! Another one you should check out is Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, another favorite!
Fun fact: Drew Barrymore wasn't allowed to hear the final song Grow Old with You until the moment they filmed it! She wasn't acting, it was her real reaction!
The limo driver is a good buddy of Adam and a few of adams close buddies were in this ,but check out the dude who played the limo driver in a comedy movie called Grandma's Boy produced by adams company I believe...you guys will bust up
I know, old video, but I caught something you guys missed: when Julia (Drew Barrymore) is in front of the mirror practicing, she starts introducing herself as Mrs. Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler's character). That's why she was smiling. She wasn't faking it; it genuinely made her happy. It's just too bad that Robbie misinterpreted the scene.
when sandler is good he is really something special ,so charismatic and charming. and even in his shitty movies ,and some are so bad it should almost be a crime, i cant bring myself hate him, he seems like such a nice guy in the real world.
So you both said you love the song, "Til There Was You" and I subbed you two thanks to the Singin' in the Rain video. If you have never seen The Music Man with Robert Preston you should give it a try for your classics series. Especially since the new release with Hugh Jackman is just around the corner. Also, one of my guilty pleasure romcoms is French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline.
Hey thanks so much for the sub and for the suggestions! We'd love to check out The Music Man sometime, we've been recommended it before actually. We'll get on it!
I tell people all the time: Adam Sandler is my favorite actor who writes garbage. He can be funny. And he can do drama like _you would not believe_ it. No less than Roger Ebert, THE movie critic, praised this man's acting chops...While lamenting how little he used that potential. Anything Adam writes alone - or with his yes-men (Allen Covert, Nick Swardson, etc.) - is pure garbage. All the ones that hold up are collabs between Sandler and, usually, Tim Herlihy (sole writer on The Wedding Singer). Anything solid that wasn't Tim was someone else keeping Sandler in check, or just not written by Sandler...Like Big Daddy, (written by Steve Franks, the guy behind the great TV show Psych), Punch Drunk Love (P.T. Andersen) or Fifty First Dates.
I do love this, but have to say... The best Adam Sandler rom com imo is Spanglish!!!! Worth a watch!!! (I also love Just Go With It. He and Jennifer Aniston have surprisingly great repoire too)
I think you completely missed that Julia was pretending to marry Robbie in that scene in the window because you talked over it. That's why she looked happy. She wasn't faking it.
I appreciate your immediate embrace of the gender-nonconforming George here, and your critique of the humor surrounding him. You may like to know that the real life Boy George enjoyed Alexis Arquette's portrayal of him in this movie, and dedicated a performance of "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" to her memory after she died. Still, it's right to say those jokes haven't aged well (and also that George is the coolest character in the movie!)
Any romcom requests for us to watch? 💘 💘 Let us know! Thanks for watching as always!
How about the Wedding Planner? Jlo and Matthew McConaughey ❤️
Ooh good choice! Thanks!
@@NiceDudeMovieNight no problem! Also can't find a reaction to Son in Law so just putting that out there lol
Clueless still holds up
Y’all should react to the After series. They’re so bad it’s funny
Adam and Drew come together every 10 years to make beautiful movies
My brother sang the ''growing old with you'' song at his wedding and he isn't a singer by any means so it made the moment even more special & he nailed it hehe

To think a year ago you nice guys were only aiming for 1k subs. You guys are the best, keep it rolling
Love the Sandler/Barrymore trilogy - The Wedding Singer, 50 First Dates and Blended.
One of the best 80's movie that isn't overly neon and beating you over the head with 'hey it's the 80's'
The Wedding Singer is the first movie I ever saw that set itself in the 1980s as a period piece. So it set a lot of the tropes for what people think of as 80s. Mostly it's stuff that people stopped doing in the 90s that's defines itself as 80s.
Oh interesting! Yeah I guess we’re so desensitized to 80s nostalgia in movies and shows nowadays lol. Thanks for watching!
@@NiceDudeMovieNightlikewise the first movie I saw that set itself as 70s period piece was a comedy called "Spirit of '76" which was made in 1990. It made light of a lot of 70s fashion, music, politics and language. Worth reacting to.
We'll look into it!

This is my wife’s favorite movie! 👏👏❤️❤️
That's awesome! It's super heartwarming, for sure.
You Definitely need to check out the other two movies that these two did together, also romcoms.. 50 First Dates and Blended.. Very worth the watch.. :) They keep this same silly but serious approach to them..
Also apparently Billy Idol agreed to be in the movie only because his son was a huge Adam Sandler fan and he'd "have to watch the movie anyway".
One of my fav Adam Sandler movies.
One of my all time favs, Grew up on this movie
I'm not particularly an Adam Sandler fan, but I did enjoy this movie. He and Drew Barrymore and very good together on screen.

Great list!
That older woman, Ellen Rose Albertini Dow. Was in so many great films during this time. So funny.

Most of the same cast are always in Happy Madison movies. I love how under all the dumb comedy Adam's characters always grow and learn.
She was allowed but she didn't want to.
I love this movie so freaking much
I laugh the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed the reaction. You two are awesome. I love this movie. Adam Sandler RAWKS! 😅
Nice dude from IL, really enjoy you guys! Thanks.

Dude Grandma's Boy is fucking fantastic. Guys, PLEASE DO THIS
Ooo, I hope they listened to you, Grandma's Boy is one of my all time favs. I'm checking their lineup as soon as I finish this video!
Blended with Adam sandler and drew Barrymore is one of my favourite movies
One of my favorites is a little -known Robert Downey Jr movie called Only You with Marisa Tomei. It's a joy.
Yeah, I second this. They have great chemistry and the plot is hilarious.
I know, old video, but I caught something you guys missed: when Julia (Drew Barrymore) is in front of the mirror practicing, she starts introducing herself as Mrs. Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler's character). Yes that bugged me too! Such a pivotal scene 🎬
I Love this movie 🙏😁💕

Great stuff dudes! Crazy to think this guy and the guy from Uncut Gems are the same guy.
They should have had him sing Somebody Kill Me Please in Uncut Gems, it would have been glorious!!
