What an amazing piece of work, absolutely brilliant. Adding the Byzantine chant brings it to life and completes it . You have created a work of art. Any expression of beauty resides in ones soul.
Thank you all for watching, sharing, and commenting on my video. It means a lot me. As I read the comments, I find a lot of verbal abuse that has compelled me remind you that this is not the platform for it. I made this video with the hope of helping to understand this magnificent building better as it was before the conquest. It is a more of a Cathedral than a Church, and it's not a Mosque. However I am thankful it a museum instead of a place of worship, so that we can reflect on the past and move on without bearing grudges. I wish you all well and thanks again.

Mustafa, you have created a wonderful image. Thanks for your work. I wish it had been possible for you to create a similar image of the interior of the building as it existed as a Greek Orthodox church at the same time. Still you created something lovely and I am glad that you shared it.
Bravo Mustafa! Absolutely amazing. You should be proud of yourself for your great effort as well as for the wonderful outcome, but also for the excellent traits of your personality that are being presented through all this! So, thank you my friend, for sharing with us a drop of hope.
I have wondered what the original church looked like, too. Thank you for all your research and effort in creating this amazing video. The Internet is wonderful.
The exact greek phrase is "Εἰς τὴν Πόλιν" (Eis Ten Polin) which doesn't mean "They Entered the City" but simply "To The City". Εἰς = To, Τὴν = The, Πόλιν = City. The phrase was known to the Ottomans long before the conquest and so was the name Istanbul.
Absolutely beautiful ! I always wanted to be able to see it as a Church - the way it originally was: 'The Jewel of the Byzantine Empire's capital city, Constantinople' It looked very much more beautiful then than now ! Thank you !
Amazing...Thank You! I am using this to teach my AP Art History students about this respectful, yet spectacular space. I was also impressed by the light and grandiose space when I first entered the nave area.
Congratulations on your achievement! Stunning work, and an excellent resource for years to come. I was going to do this myself but you have beaten me to it! :)

Hagia Sophia was built as an Orthodox Church, but in 1204 it was converted into a Catholic Church, and again in 1261 converted to the Orthodox Church, and after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Sultan Mehmet is ordered the church converted into a mosque, and is many decades later, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was finally decided that the mosque converted into a museum, and today is a museum, not a mosque.
Constantinoupolis (The City Of Constantine) is the Jerusalem of the Greek Nation and the Church of God's Wisdom (Agia Sofia) is the place where Orthodox will worship God on a day which is comming pretty soon.

The least the Turks could do today is to allow to rededicate the nearby Hagia Irene, which was never converted to a mosque, but it still has the crecent on the dome. Also to make it the seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.
This video shows that there are good people among the Turks and all I ask God is to make them prevail in their country. Let us, the Orthodox Christians worship Our Lord in our Cathedral. It belongs to all Orthodox Christians around the World. It is a Holly place for us. I am a Bulgarian Orthodox. I do not hate anyone. I love my neighbors as Our Lord commands me to do so. Thank you for this video, Mustafa. You are a good neighbor. God bless you and your family.
the Turkish government must return the Hagia Sopia to its real owner and that is OUR LORD Jesus Christ. Return it to the Church for it belongs to them, the church must do something to put back the magnificent church into its grandeur, glory and owner as a symbol of mighty Christian faith.
All I ask our Lord is that He speaks to the heart of people of Turkey and one day we, the Orthodox Christians would be allowed serve Liturgy in our Cathedral. Let's stop destruction, hatred and fighting on the Balkans. I live in U.S. and my best friends here are from Turkey, Greece, Romania and former Yugoslavia. We are blessed by Lord to have our countries on the beautiful Balkans. We should build , look in the future and respect each other. God bless you neighbors.

Hagia Sophia was converted into a mosque 559 years ago, man. You can not compare that time with today. Remember the mosque in Cordoba was converted into a cathedral by the Spanish, too. Hagia Sophia was the church of the emperor, when Sultan replaced Emperor it became Sultan's mosque. I think it's quite normal for that time.
The 'song' is in Greek, the priest speaks about the soul, God, holy spirits... Orthodoxy... Agia Sophia is Greek! Even in Hagia Sophia now in the walls you can see some crosses are visible... God will give Hagia Sophia to the Greeks..
Salaam aleikum, brother. You did a wonderful job on this project, and thanks for uploading the video. I enjoyed it doubly, since I was an Orthodox Christian, and now am a Muslim. I think of Hagia Sophia as a symbol of peace, and of all that Christians and Muslims have in common. Hello from the USA.
The word comes from the screams of the habitants when Mehmed the Conqueror's soldiers attacked and entered the Holy City; People were yelling as"Ei Stan Puli" means "They entered the City!",
The glory of Hagia Sophia is a reflection of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ when He returns in Glory to judge both the quick and the dead, the resurrection will occur and then comes the creation of the new heavens and the earth. God in Christ will restore all things and that will no doubt include Hagia Sophia, but then we shall not need a reflection of His glory for we shall see Him face to face.
Hagia Sophia is today a museum, but it was original a Christian Church. The concept of the DOME as a place of worship is of Christian origin. Funny, all Muslims today who worship under a DOME are actually worshiping Christ. Muslims copied the Christian Dome of Hagia Sophia as template for mosques in general. I mean, they are actually worshiping Christ and they do not even realize it. The Christian Dome of Hagia Sophia was built for Christian Worship before the Prophet Muhammad was even born. One has to love science and history and the TRUTH. video.pbs.org/video/2365432635/
+Joe Stanaback For me it doesnt matter if the dome was built or invented by the christians or not as long as i know whom i am worshipping in my mind, in my heart. i advise everyone else the same.
+Joe Stanaback We Muslims do not reject Jesus as prophet as jews do. And i see you think about Islam, like jews think in the same way they do towards christianity. In Logic that means either jews or Muslims worship God properly but exactly Christians do not. Muslim woships just Allah and knows that Mohammed, Jesus , Moses , Abraham, Noah... are just prophets of him. So i hope you will realize the most importing; The religion and god is one, do not look at the names. Do not worship Christ, your boss, your wife , science , universe but Allah.
