Water + Fire doubles the chances of secondary effects. Firey dance will always boost special attack, moves like rock slide and air slash will flinch 60% of the time, and blizzard freezes 20% of the time. It’s like all of your team have serene grace. It does stack with serene grace unless you are using a flinching move, since the game doesn’t like 120% flinch moves. Water + Grass *quarters* the speed of the opponent. It’s like two tailwinds stacked and, while it’s up, you will almost be guaranteed to outspeed the opponent unless trick room is up. Fire + Grass creates the secondary effect of Charizard’s old max move. The opponents will take damage equal to 1/8 of their health each turn unless they’re fire type. While all of these combinations look broken on paper, especially since they are delivered through a 150 base power move, they are very difficult to get off; fake out into either Pokémon will shut it down completely. They also only last for four turns, so, with protect, the opponent can stall out the first two quite easily.
@@Reginald425Tbf if you managed to get the fire + grass one off protecting isn’t really doing much to help your opponent. But the other two yeah protect kinda fucks 😂

As someone from Louisville, it’s been really funny to see the whole VGC community collectively confused about my hometown’s pronunciation lol. For those wondering, there’s no i sound in it. So it’s not “Loo-ee-ville” or even “Loo-uh-ville”, it’s actually pronounced “Loo-uh-vull”. Hope that helps. Also, I hope you guys enjoyed our town! I was pretty surprised to hear that Pokémon was doing an event in Kentucky, because I don’t think that’s ever happened before. Not much happens in this state aside from horse racing and college sports, so hopefully we were good hosts and this won’t be the last time VGC comes to Kentucky!
You mean the way people from over there pronounces it or the way it should be pronounced? Because Louis and Ville are 2 french words, so I am pretty sure the correct way to pronounce it would be the french pronunciation, which is actually pronounced with a E sound, because Louis is pronounced ''Loo-ee'' and Ville is pronounced like Villa without the a. BTW, I'm just hoping on the trend, not trying to be disrespectful haha. There is a street named Maguire near where I live, which you would expect it to be pronounced ''Muh-gwai-ur'' but people pronounce it like it's the word Magloire without the L, which sounds like ''Muh-gwar'' so yeah x)
It's Lou-uh-vull. The best advice I've ever heard for how to say the name of the city is to pronounce it like it's all vowels. (Hope I'm not piling on--comments are good for the UA-cam algorithm).
Louisville was super fun to watch with the huge variety of Pokemon showing up even in the top teams. I don't think Lille is going to be as out there with the teambuilding, but i wouldn't be surprised if some wild composition no one expected wins it all
Calling Emboar for a top cut before the regulation ends. Reckless w/ Flare Blitz / Close Combat / Wild Charge pushes for an OHKO into just about everything except Archaludon before Tera. It might need too much support at the awkward speed tier but I believe in it

@glumreaper8885 I'm far from offended, I just think stupid that Americans are trying to correct people on how to pronounce a name that's origin is French. Nobody would take it seriously if a Spanish speaker tried to tell an American that Jello is pronounced with a "H", it's the same concept here.
@@lewisblackwiththenicehair this is a moot point since Louisville should have names in Cherokee, Osage, and Shawnee, as people who settled in the plains there and had long term relationships with the land. In fact, the French had such a short and ill-acquired relationship with the region that it's good to stray away from a monarchy name. The use of French guns and "money" to conquer the Indigenous tribes and settle a township doesn't suddenly make it right of some dead French monarch. Louisvilleans for the most part reject that the French have any ownership or attachment to the place which is why the pronunciation is deliberately as it is.

It’s kinda a running joke that literally no one outside Kentucky pronounces it right.
