I'm a fairly new player and when I started everyone told me to play on Reboot since I didn't want to spend money on the game. So I tried reboot but I sorely missed the trading aspect of the game. So I went back to Scania on a new account. And I've gotta say I've been having a lot more fun.
I've come back now, after 2 years. My main is in NA Scania. Wouldn't you say the server is basically dead? I feel like there's no point in the trading aspect, if there aren't that many people to trade with.
That comment was 2yrs ago. If this person still plays he most likely either plays in reboot now. Shouldve just stick to reboot
@@aizonnyguyan6264Lol yea. I switched to reboot a while ago haven't played in quite some time though. I wasn't in a guild and couldn't find an active one when I made the comment. While I still miss trading being in a guild is so much more fun than playing alone. So yea just play reboot.

Amazing video! You did great on explaining everything I need to know. I’ve been playing maple since 2006 took a break for a while. Then came back and played In Windia in 2015 took another break because I was spending too much money. I want to come back again and you helped me decide. I’m going with reboot. @@Ribyummore players actually joined regular lately. We also have an advantage, not being in a overpopulated server means more open maps to train on. There’s plenty of people that play on regular servers

If you’re willing to put in the time farming mesos AND upgrading your gear, Reboot! If you would rather farm and sell items to gain Mesos, to buy the gear so you don’t have to be the one to upgrade it, Regular Server! The difference can be quite insane, considering you can blow up items and they’re gone forever. Whether it’s Reboot or Regular, you need Mesos. So, the big question is, do you want to be 100% self-reliant and do EVERYTHING for yourself? Or do you want to take advantage of the trading system, and have a little help? Also, Reboot is more single play style, Regular is more community play style.
is it still possible to take advantage of the trading system in a low populated server like Luna for example? i would assume that there will be less items to trade and the prices will be much higher?
@@yipyipyip6672 I have heard that Luna is fairly healthy, it should be pretty easy to make use of the Auction House without prices being too bad :D

I'm anti social so the party/guild experience doesnt appeal to me but I always play on reboot because it feels so much more rewarding getting stronger

This game is amazing, the music and story. I love it
Very well done video ! Some things to add up in the Reboot and Regular Server discussion:
- Regular server and Reboot Reward point shop are also drastically different. regular server has x2 drop and x2 exp coupons + more enhance equipment, while Reboot only has the cubes , monster park tickets , wild totems and water of life for pet.
- Reboot node system is vastly different than the Regular server, in Reboot you can transfer directly the nodes you get from the arcane drops to the other characters from the same world, and in regular server you have to craft "tradable nodes" to be traded.
- The umbra gear/arcana gear, in Reboot the only ways to obtain them is by farming droplets , or have an amazing RNG that Hard Lucid/ Hard Will will drop it. In regular server all of these can be skip by just buying it from another player, or buying droplets to speed up the process.
- For hard bossing in Reboot, usually survival is taken over damage, a Kanna in a party is a "must class to have", and having other support classes like Bishop , Battle Mage or Shade helps a lot. Regular Server is more flexible on parties due to how monstrous a player can get in funding.
- "Funded" players in regular servers can pretty much solo a lot of bosses by themselves, while in Reboot most of the time is a 6 man party to clear the boss.
- The Hyper tele rock is one of Reboot's biggest advantage, moving around in the world of Maple freely. Regular server the hyper tele rock is usually lock by a paywall that only last a couple of days or a week. In regular server the most common way to move around is to use the boss teleport , the quest teleport, and any area that the player has clear with the character.
- Lastly, Reboot and Bera would have a ton of MVP's buff flying around, specially Reboot, while the other servers that are not so populated, would have less of that.
The nodestones dropped by monsters are tradable within the account in regular servers, so you can transfer them through the storage just like in reboot. The hyper teleport rock might be an issue for a player who is just starting and there is no big event going on at the moment. During events that have coin shops they almost always include hyper teleport rocks for a cheap price (usually 15 coins per day out of 300 obtainable per day). And on top of that buying hyper teleport rocks with mesos through the meso market is pretty affordable as well once you have been playing for a while.

"f2p friendly".dude as a solo first time player i had no idea how to progress and often hit a wall around 150 cause i just didn't know how to progress, meanwhile when i jumped to a normal server i found that i had tons of these cursed cubic thingys and sold them for toms of mesos that let me get root abyss gear and continue playing. It was much easier for me compared to reboot.
f2p does that mean it will be easy.. Regular is more easier because you can just buy everything

how do you fund your character in a regular server? im new
So if i wanted to customize my character with Cosmetic outfits without the use of real money, in reboot i would not be able to do that. Am i right?
So i play from europe on gms reboot and coming back since one year. Can I buy pets without nx right now? Cuz i'm contemplating going to a regular server and just buy a permanent pet ( with nx ). because with europe latency it's just impossible to loot without a pet. And not being able to get a permanent pet with nx or a 30/90 days one with mesos is a BIG dealbreaker.
For fashion story Regular server is King. Auction house is a game changer.
Sad that I got really stuck at level 218 and don't know where to find decent items to sell, since I need mesos to upgrade my orbs.

and Bera (Lesser Pop, but you can actually trade your items so everything has worth)

The advantages and disavantages were well expain in this video.I play on Reboot for 4 years with breaks aswell.I like the progression on reboot,because it feels like an achivement,unless Normal server where you can buy everything.
But i will also not lie that if i could start from zero,i would give Normal servers another chance,because if you play your cards right,you can definitly progress much faster than on Reboot.
Yes,there will be sometimes where i would need to pay to progress,but since i already pay for SSB,it won't change much for me.
Regardless if you choose normal or reboot server,i hope you will have a nice time playing the game and make good memories!

so you need all link skills to be good? that means i have to level up 10+ character to lv 200 before choosing my main?
What I did was choose 10 characters that I was interested in playing as my main and level all of them to around 120. Level 120 is a good level to get the feel of the 4th job and link skills from other classes before you decide. That way I can gauge the difference in stats and dps between all characters and then pick my main based on whose more fun to play.
My one concern is on reboot there is one server. How often do other people take up the good grind spots?

Could you still progress to the late game without spending money? I'm changing to maplestory gms from maple sea and sea have a slight problem on progression after lvl 200 can't increase dmg if u don't use money. And sea way of making mesos is mediocre compared to gms with maple tour. I wanna know before I invest into regular or else I'll just play reboot. Any advice is much appreciated

Hey guys, just want to get your opinions: is it actually possible to finish all the lvl content and boss content without buying NX with real money if I play on a non-reboot server? I don't care so much about how much dmg I do in comparison to others, I just want to enjoy the game and get through all the content. I already have 2 level 100 characters on a regular server and I'm pretty happy with their equips at the moment... is it worth making the switch to reboot?
Yes it’s possible, many players across different servers and regions have done it before. it just takes time and patience, and a different set of skills compared to Reboot

Honestly reboot sounds world's better albeit grindier but there seems no need to dish out cash to get the best gear and there is none of that getting gear that's not for your class bull that haunted me in regular.
For a new player:
I'm a more casual player and like normal servers more than reboot
Why? Reboot is just mass grind for mesos and cubes that you start to lose sight of the value of items
In normal servers you can buy cube services(although they are rarely for sale) to tier up your items
And it's that stroke of luck after hitting an insane roll that gives me a little happiness
But reboot is like a quest to minmax
Hours and hours of meso grinding for cubes to get the perfect triple lines
*Progression is tons faster, but I don't care for minmaxing if there's no value to my items outside of my account*
However, normal servers feel like every Billion Meso is worth it, the god rolls, the complete failures, losing to 50% success 7x in a row

It's a special map I got from a guildy, If you're in Bera and have a Hyper Teleport Rock add me in-game IGN: Madrexus. I can go to the map and you'll be able to TP to me.

Just play on Bera there is plenty of items on auction compared to other server.
From experience the ah felt the same and the world population on the main screen doesn't represent it all too well, but that doesn't really mean it's as lively as bera.
AH exceptions are finding super ancient/old items.
High level maps are much more alive just like bera, but it's obvious that the lower population is gonna show bc unlike bera the population of hene hoes are non existent.
Only vj hoes and chu hoes here...

one question though how do people in reboot make a second character for farming in popular areas? Don't they too level over 10 levels too high and get no meso or is there a way to keep that farming character in the level?
Can’t you let your meso farming character die a lot so they lose experience and thus prevent levelling?

the only issue with servers is that most EU stuff is newer than the NA servers....so a big chunk of the EU playerbase is on NA because they didnt want to start from zero again

I play on Normal/Regular server, Bera as an EU player cause Luna is dead. F2p on regular is the best feeling maple has given me, pleople forget that grouping for bossing and all that social play is still possible on regular... find the right guild..

Any class, bro :) I've always liked to play a lot of different ones, but it's fun to main as well. I think the class you want to choose depends on your play style and how you experience the most enjoyment!!

Maple points can buy almost anything from the cash shop, normally things you wont be able to use maple points for are "special" item events like philosopher books or marvel machine.
