The Storm Texas Shad, the smaller Lil Tex, and smaller yet Whizz Bang are the best lipless crankbaits I've ever used. Not only do they out cast other lipless crankbaits they out fish them too.
@@RetroBassin Like any other lippless they cover a lot of water, probably faster than any other type of crankbait. I usually rip them pretty quick. If that dosn't produce I'll vary the speed until either catch fish or tie on a worm or top water. There are times when all 3 baits don't produce, then it's time to troll a Buck Perry's Spoonplug. The Spoonplug is not a very well known bait but it's the only wat to cover more water faster than plugging away with any kind of crankbait and they usually produce when nothing else does.
I just thought how horrible/funny would it be if someone went out with an old school lure and had their best numbers day ever and caught their PB also. They’d be stuck hunting down some rare lure for years to come.
