Thankfully they got him back to play Black Bolt again, I think Anson Mount did a good job as Black Bolt despite how terrible the tv show was. I think the casting for most of the Inhumans were pretty alright too.
In the comics, Black Bolt's body is so incredibly durable that it has easily withstood Thor's hammer. So, in such a scenario, it seems unlikely that some police officers could beat him, even when teaming up.
I remember seeing him in the Ultimate Spider Man series where he said "peace" in a calm way and that alone was enough to lift the inhuman city that was almost from the size of Wakanda.
He is technically a planet killer level of being. Literally can crack a planet with his voice at full force. But why is he so weak here? Black Bolt has superhuman strength and durability.
I hope MCU bring back the Inhumans, despite the "what mouth" meme Black Bolt is strong against other characters, I mean he can destroy cities alone with his power, he would be a big help in the MCU.

Anson Mount fits the role like a goddamn glove. Not only does he have that neutral frown and mandible that matches Black Bolt, but he has a powerful presence that’s lacking with other superhero actors.
Back when the Dark Knight trilogy had just ended, and there were talks of a new Batman being cast for Warner Bros new DC movies, Anson Mount was my fancast for Batman. Dude would’ve nailed the role.

To me, the biggest disappointment when adapting comics is that due to the sheer power of certain heroes we will never see them accurately portrayed. Black Bolt can fucking level mountains but will never get to see such a feat in live-action movies/shows.
Because then it'd turn into dbz or one punch man levels of absurdity. Something more grounded where characters like cap or hawkeye or daredevil are relevant are better

I always thought his power was one of the least convenient because it takes away his ability to just talk. The strong silent type can only go so far and has no real chance of carrying a series. Never saw it actually but if that was brother Maximus it was a great casting decision using Ramsay Bolton, chillingly psychotic.
When he appears in the animated shows, other members of the Inhumans usually speak in his name, and iirc, he also has some sort of telepathic bond with them.
Say what you will about his power levels or about the series in general (and you could say a lot!), you have to admit that Anson Mount as Black Bolt was great casting.

This needed to be a movie. Marvel can make pretty much anything work and introduce it perfectly into their MCU. Just like the Guardians and Eternals, Inhumans could have their own introductory movie. Shame because Black Bolt is one of my favorite characters.

Let's be honest if this was the real world those officers would be getting arrested for police brutality. 1: The arresting officers didn't even try to talk to the person. 2:They never read him his miranda rights/right to silence (uk/us). 3: They immediatley started beating him up and discharged a taser The only thing they got right was that the police did was ask for backup as he clearly had shown resistance to arrest and had attacked a police officer already. That still doesn't excuse the extreme brutality in their actions, that's one thing the show got right, sometimes I've seen it reported on tv where the police will go too far, like discharging a taser on a 90 year old man.
That is a difficult role to act. Honestly you have to play every scene and ensure you never ever utter anything not even an "omph". Kudos to the writers and and actor.
I mean in the comics even just a whisper was enough to destroy an entire mountain. Imagine how much control it would take to use that kind of power on someone without killing them. It’d be like telling The Hulk to tap on a glass window without breaking it

This character deserves so much more
It should have been a movie. But seeing how powerful his voice could be, it might be a challenge. Though that idea soon faded away what happened in ‘Multiverse of Madness’.

I always thought his power was one of the least convenient because it takes away his ability to just talk. The strong silent type can only go so far and has no real chance of carrying a series. Never saw it actually but if that was brother Maximus it was a great casting decision using Ramsay Bolton, chillingly psychotic.
Same problem the Hulk had and has. Lots of Brute Force but very little communication makes it difficult to build a good protagonist in a movie

When he appears in the animated shows, other members of the Inhumans usually speak in his name, and iirc, he also has some sort of telepathic bond with them.

I liked that curious unbotheredness he shows in the first few scenes on Earth, and the fact that he's completely silent in them makes them even funnier

Thats because he doesnt want to hurt the cops. He cant hurt hulk so he can go all out. These cops really arent super hurting him but like even an adult can be pulled to the ground by toddlers if they dont put up reasonable resistance.
@@mrjuderaw87 you clearly know nothing about blackbolt and how powerful he truly is. His strength physically can reach levels as high as Ben grim, taken on thanos and more, yet is stopped by cops, holding back or not he is way too powerful to be hurt by regular police officers.
@@pjsniper436 hes not losing to the cops. He cant just say i give up so they rough him up. At no point does he even look worse for wear after the cops. He is still more than capable of epic feats. Its called pulling your punches and its something marvel characters do a lot. Just cause you found comics in 2020 doesnt mean we all did. Shut up

This needed to be a movie. Marvel can make pretty much anything work and introduce it perfectly into their MCU. Just like the Guardians and Eternals, Inhumans could have their own introductory movie. Shame because Black Bolt is one of my favorite characters.
That's weird, considering Guardians and Eternals aren't like the comics at all. So you want the MCU to butcher Black Bolt anyway?

Looks like he has moderately above human level strength, almost no increased durability(or he has a humans tolerance to pain, when getting hit by mere humans and gets thrown around)

After watching Multiverse of Madness, I hope to see more from this character and the actor. Judging from the series, it looked like he had a lot of talent, if only the show didn't suck.

No it wouldn't because normally black bolt doesn't use his voice like that. And I don't see how the concept of "Strong hero = Stronger villain" doesn't make sense in those same comics where he can break reality with his voice maximus still gives him trouble.
The scene where he’s being arrested Would’ve been a good place for SHEILD to show up

Let's be honest if this was the real world those officers would be getting arrested for police brutality.
1: The arresting officers didn't even try to talk to the person.
2:They never read him his miranda rights/right to silence (uk/us).
3: They immediatley started beating him up and discharged a taser
The only thing they got right was that the police did was ask for backup as he clearly had shown resistance to arrest and had attacked a police officer already. That still doesn't excuse the extreme brutality in their actions, that's one thing the show got right, sometimes I've seen it reported on tv where the police will go too far, like discharging a taser on a 90 year old man.

That is a difficult role to act. Honestly you have to play every scene and ensure you never ever utter anything not even an "omph". Kudos to the writers and and actor.

I mean in the comics even just a whisper was enough to destroy an entire mountain. Imagine how much control it would take to use that kind of power on someone without killing them. It’d be like telling The Hulk to tap on a glass window without breaking it
