@@GameCubeGalaxysomething I think goes unnoticed about PN03 is the combo system and what it incentivizes. For years I thought PN03 was just kinda ok, neat but nothing crazy unique until I learned how exactly the devs intended it to be played. The combo system makes it so that you're made to be dodging and shooting and moving fluidly at all times, almost like a rhythm game or something like that. Like you can use Star Power and make it through a difficult solo in Guitar Hero while barely knowing what notes your hitting and just hoping you don't lose but ideally you should want to try and play the solo and do your best to take it that barrage of notes until you can actually understand what you're playing. It's similar in PN03, the combo system makes it clear that you're supposed to move fluidly through these levels fast and efficiently in order to get a high point score and in doing this you raise the skill cap and ultimately the fun in the game dramatically.
@@nomorenames5568 you nailed it on the head. While initially P.N. 03 may be jarring to some people, it’s one of those games that clicks as you keep playing it and learn its intricacies. It’s a very technical game, and trying to keep that combo going, while dodging and maneuvering really is engrossing. It’s a game I’ve played well over 10 times and always have a lot of fun with it (despite its flaws). 👍
The GameCube is my favourite generation of consoles where Nintendo took risks, almost every IP they have got a either an entry or a spinoff and new games like Chibi-Robo and Eternal Darkness (Nintendo's first M-Rated game) with unique gameplay and creativity.
I got lucky and found both GX and Eternal darkness at goodwill for $5 each earlier this year. Haven't gotten to playing them yet but they are on my list
Star Fox Adventures is one of those games I had my parents rent for me probably 5 different times and I probably didn't even get halfway through it lol. I do remember really enjoying that one. Also, I had completely forgotten that P.N.03 was even a thing. I played that one once, probably a rental also. Was certainly unique.
I have legitimately bought P.N.03 about five times over the years (losing them to theft or lost storage). First time I bought it, I found it at a GameStop for .25 cents, last time I bought it was at a random mall game store for $40, so it's definitely become a cult classic. Glad I have a mint full physical copy in my collection.
Gamecube has so many unique and interesting games. It's a shame that it's impossible to collect for it due to the absurd price that resellers charge for the games. Twin Snakes, for example, sells for $100 on average. 😓
Star Fox adventures was a good game, despite it not being a normal Star Fox game. Being a fan of both Starfox and Zelda when I was younger, I enjoyed playing through it.
I never understood the dislike Star Fox Adventures had back in the day. I always loved it, and thought it was awesome to play as Fox McCloud on-foot, with Zelda mechanics. 👍
@@GameCubeGalaxy It's because everybody wanted a normal Star Fox game not a Zelda style game. It's kind of like what happened with Wind Waker, where everybody wanted a realistic Zelda.
I really wish Eternal Darkness would get some kind of port, but that doesn't seem likely to happen. It is a very unique horror game that all fans of the genre should have the opportunity to experience.
I can already see the sanity effects of drifting joycons, detaching controllers, randomly opening settings menu and deleting your save files or showing that the game unexpectedly closed.
@@Ubu90SK is gone, but Nintendo owns the Eternal Darkness IP and have maintained its copyright/trademark status for years now. They can do whatever they want with it, but haven't done anything for whatever reason.
Mr. Driller: DRILL LAND was stuck in Japan exclusively on the GameCube up until a few years back, but it's still been a long time since we've seen any new entries
I own almost every game in the video, but you may missed some other games that defiantly needs a 2nd chance that I also own such as: Billy Hatcher and the giant egg, Gotcha Force, Viewtiful Joe, Chibi-Robo, Fire Emblem, Kirby Air ride, Starfox Assault, Legend Of Zelda and the 4 swords, Wave Race, and Skies of Arcadia Legends!
Dude, Gotca Force is so good! It is my most played Gamecube game by far. Never found a game truly like it. I was even so close at a point (out of frustration that there aren´t any games like it) that I considered becoming a game developer just to create a similar game. 😂
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is another great game stuck on the console. Unfortunately getting an actual copy is expensive as hell, and you need a decent PC to emulate it, and Nintendo probably ain't porting it to the Switch or any future systems time soon.
I LOVED Custom Robo! Definitely one of my favorite GameCube games. I remember skipping dinner the first night I played it lol! It's also one of those game for me that required almost all my concentration when I played it. I really wish they would make a new one or even a remaster. Pretty cool that you got GameCube Galaxy to help with this one too!
For as much that can be said of Metal Gear series, it most definitely went the anime direction, so Twin Snakes fits right in. In no way can even the original be taken as truly grounded given all the shenanigans and enemies.
Great video! I always forget just how many amazing exclusives the GameCube still has in its library! I would love to see some of these get the remaster or remake treatment! I always wished that Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg got a sequel (or at least an HD remake)! I think Europe got a PC version of Billy Hatcher, but not North America. 😕
Another one to add to the list is Star Fox Assault. I don't know why people don't bring that one up. It was an awesome game and was more of a traditional Star Fox game. Also I wish I had Go Go Hypergrind. That game is expensive...
Beach Spikers is super frustrating because the game will suddenly shift you to controlling the other character depending where the ball is going. This wouldn't be so bad, but they give you no time to react and of you start moving your character to intercept the ball before it shfts to the other player, you end up running away from where the ball is coming to. I can't even finish the tutorial lessons because of it.
Really surprised Gotcha Force wasn't included. That game is great. This did remind me that I completely forgot about SF Adventures. Gotta restart that save now.
To bad for those games, especially F-zero (F-zero GX best F-zero ever ✌️) and eternal darkness. Hey... We have a new friend in the chanel! Is pretty cool.

So if you have an Xbox Series X and purchase the license for Developer Mode (it's only $20) you can get the native UWP port of Dolphin and play every single one of these games listed along with the entire GameCube and Wii catalog in 4K60fps. This is something that has been done and demonstrated on other UA-cam channels and is currently the best way to play these games until an official release becomes available
Custom Robo is a classic. While the story is nothing to write home about, the gameplay more than makes up for it with fun robot battles with customizable parts.

The C stick doesn't have a cap, yes, but it never felt bad and the triggers feel so nice to press. Timesplitters Future Perfect felt way better to play on Game Cube than PS2 for me.
I enjoyed Eternal Darkness and got the three different endings. My only complaint is that the game it´s too easy, you can easily replenish your sanity and it becomes something curious and funny that does not affect really in your progress. The combat it´s too easy also, and you can regain health easily. They should have done a tougher challenge because the tension is great, the graphics and the soundtrack.

Good luck laying your hands on a copy of Go! Go! Hypergrind at a reasonable price.🙄 Loved StarFox Adventures. It's a shame they haven't made more like it.
Your 30fps footage of F Zero GX done an injustice to the sense of speed the game has. Maybe upgrade your capture software?
