Oh... I miss these RTS buses, I grew up in Tucson, AZ. The city used to have many of these and I remember this sound and it was good flash back memories
The first picture is downtown Brooklyn (old picture, I can tell from the signal lights) and the second one is on at the corner of Flatbush Ave and Glenwood Av!! The bus came back from Kings Plaza. AHHHHHH THE MEMORIES!!! I never took the B6. Always rode the B41! I miss these buses, especially when they hit numerous bumps. LMAO
I used to go to a day care center at East 35 Street and Flatbush Avenue. These buses were amazing in how they looked and sounded. I even rode them a couple of times or so. I wasn't really fond of the 4xxx ones or the buses that Green Bus Lines ran on the Q35. I miss these buses. I'll also miss the V731 Nova ones once they retire, though I won't miss the ZF Ecomat ones.
2004OrionVIICNG east ny units eventually ended up at flatbush, then ulmer park.. Flatbush had bus #7000, the first nycta rebuilt unit and 7500 at one point

I saw this RTS bus once in downtown Manhattan before 9/11, and I haven't seen it since then, but she sounded brand new.
