Now this is what I’ve wanted to see ! That Aprilia is still so competitive when it’s 5 years old and 30 hp down on power... my personal favourite of the two, though wow that Ducati is fast when it’s going over 120 !
It is so good of you guys to go all the way to Mexico to bring us this content. (Although I'm getting suspicious as the signs don't say "El Stop-o") Makes me now lean towards the Tuono for the wind protection. What do you think? Is riding the SF brutal in triple digits?
for fair results, you could swap bikes 😜 Anyways, from my experience riding this bike I would expect SV4 been beaten up hard in low end. The results turned out to be surprising. Keep it up! Enjoyed the vid much! 😄
Ducati's peak TQ is at 11500 and the 30mph start was from 4000 RPM. Tuono's power band is shifted down 2K rpm compared to the SF. Ducati should have been down a gear (or they both could have just been down a gear) but doing it this way made it a more interesting race.
Love it! Does your wife also hit the track? When I rode the streetfighter I was like wow, the Tuono might not be the best naked anymore! I need a more comfy bike, the V4 Speciale and rsv4 1100 factory are just harsh to ride all the time (getting old haha). The hyper naked bikes have really peaked my interest.
i got my self a 2018 tuono Factory. and i wanted the streetfighter v4s. but where i live the V4S is 20,000 $ more then the tuono. 2020 models. and i love my tuono :D do u think the v4s is 20k dollers better then the tuono.? what wut u have taken ? sry shty english.
Not bad for the ape wich has on paper 178 hp ( with race map) vs 220 hp on the Ducati (with the akra tune) not to mention the 5k difference in price. But as we know the Ape is different geared comp to the STFV4. The ape does 265 km/h and the Ducati hits 300 km/h.
Top vid mate.. tho not really fair the duc got full system mapped etc where the Tuono think just end pipe... with the duc having more power as standard too... noticed at your take off speeds due to ducs gearing it's higher up the rev range to start so already closer to it's sweet spot.... I have 19 Tuono and friend has duc same mods tho Tuono std.. same results to lol
Just does to show the SFS is lacking in mid range. What does the TV4 make at the wheel compared to the SFS? Its something like 40hp difference? Just goes to show how good the TV4 is. I'll still be swapping my TV4 for a 2021 SFS with the peak torque 2000rpm lower
At 4:42 she hits 4th gear at 9000 revs, while he shifts at 12500 to 4th gear, plus the SFV4 has lower gearing to begin with, it would have been interesting to see a 5th and 6th gear pull
SF is really only faster where nobody really cares on a naked bike. I’d like to see what Aprilia has cooked up for an update as this Tuono is officially old now.
Would love to own a SF but money wise the Aprilia is the better deal. As for being in Mexico, didn’t realize words were written in English such as STOP, shouldn’t it be ALTO LOL.
I’m sorry there was no draw there she had you on both of the lower ones she had you both because she had her wheel control line but she had you and you have to admit it no draw there
now, please repeat it with 2021 models of Tuono Factory and SF V4S! The Ducati now has more torque in the lower rpms, I want to bet, the Tuono cannot keep up this close.
probably should have swapped bikes as well--you can't spot someone 50+ pounds--also the aprilia seems to be geared a full gear or so lower...likely the reason for its acceleration in your roll on's and lack of top end....
I’m not a curmudgeon but I don’t know about ripping it up on public roads regardless of how isolated they are because you never know. Now all the comments will slay me calling me a hypocrite because I have routinely rocked 130 on Northern State especially during early days of covid fuck went a hell of a lot more than that but I wouldn’t race
Another great video!!
Btw
I think she is jumping, on three.
She’s a keeper!! My friend!
Awesome woman!!

But from dead start SF is dead. Just top end power but aprilia is by far more efficient
Great video
That was fun and hell yea V2 vs HP2. - I like that suggestion! 🇬🇧🏍
Love you guys y’all made my Wednesday...ride safe ..she is a beast lol
Normally not a ducatifan but the streetfighter sounds real nice, for 30k$ tho those winglets etc should be carbon!
Hi Calimoto 👋🏻 Fun to see😜. Have you seen the new one updated Tuano-21 model ? 🤔👌
What mirrors are you use in the Streetfighter?

And switch up who dose the count .
Which one better handling and enjoyable driving
The v4 is more capable considering the riders weight difference. But the Tui wins because everything is relative. For the price the Aprilia is better.
Dam that streetfighter wow ❣️

Not a bad showing from the Aprilia, considering the 40hp deficit, correct?
Sorry to miss you at Chuckwalla! Will be at Champ School at Homestead instead. Have fun!
Ok ok where is this at?

@@CaliMotoTV whhaaa no way! How cool to have met at the track!

My brain go for Tuono but my hesrt goes to SFv4s

Hit 275 on the APRILIA Tuono..
Bill, do you think a V2 version of the SF will come out soon?

What a waste of time going in strait lines. Need to do a track comparison. I’m an Aprilia guy cause Ducati is overpriced however I’d still love one!
@@CaliMotoTV I wrote that comment then next UA-cam video came up with the track comparison. Great content!
What mods are done to each? Are the both stock gearing with 525 chains or are you running 520 on one and 525 on the other. -1 in front?
Thank you!
@@CaliMotoTV thank you for the reply!
OG SFS, circa 2009-2012 was more interesting of a bike & with way more raw character. This new SF V4 is not much on the eyes.
The SF V4 is pretty lazy below 8000 rpm
SF is really only faster where nobody really cares on a naked bike. I’d like to see what Aprilia has cooked up for an update as this Tuono is officially old now.
I've got an MV Agusta Brutale 1000RR and a Superduke GT to add to the mix in Los Angeles. Hit me up!
Yea greg. Getting ready for the superduke next week. Any thoughts.
She is also considerably lighter!
Yes over 100 lbs
The top speed run the Aprilia never went above 147 mph that’s a 170mph bike ? Not sure what went on there ?????
Made in Italy !
👍👍👍
🙏🙏🙏
To bad the Ducati is power limited in the first 4 gears tune it and do it again lol
Nice! 🤣
Would love to own a SF but money wise the Aprilia is the better deal. As for being in Mexico, didn’t realize words were written in English such as STOP, shouldn’t it be ALTO LOL.
Especially bike lane :)
