Hi yammie. I’m a new subscriber and am getting into motorcycles. But I am in a predicament where I am missing about all of my fingers on my left hand except my thumb. So I’m assuming this complicates things with the clutch😅. Is there anything that can make this easier? I am open to other peoples suggestions as well ofc.
Tuono for me, done this exact same comparison on my channel! I did vote for the SF at the end but since then changed my mind! Ended up hating the SF by the time my loan with it had finished
I’m happy to hear that since I’m an Aprilia fan and owner. I watched all your reviews, big fan of them, and it amazes me how you will always pick whatever comes against an Aprilia v4 (tuono or rsv4) not for any dislikes, but simply because you feel like on them you can’t hold back. It’s so telling! Glad to see you here tho!
Chopsie I bought the 2021 Base model 2 weeks ago and have already done 3,500 kilometres on it touring the Victorian high country in Australia. I my opinion its a true SPORTS Tourer. Please do one of your awesome reviews.
Decided on the 21 Tuono Factory and am really looking forward to season start! Also happened to watch your video - what made u not like the Ducati after riding it for longer?
@@MrDeepseadweller I found it tiring to ride slowly, way to much engine braking. Also just not exciting enough as just way to stable, doesn't even lift over crests and stuff..
Great comparison guys and really good job. I owned a V4 Tuono factory for 5 years and last year traded it on a new streetfighter V4S. I have to say that I think you both nailed it and I agree with all of your findings. The bottom line is that the choice is a personal one and depends on where your head is at. I loved the Tuono but I did get tired of the abrupt throttle and for me the SF's more refined control makes all the difference. I can still wind it out and find that craziness when I want to but for everyday riding the Ducati is so much more comfortable and controlled. I just find it easier to ride. But if you want something more froggy all the time - a bike that always begs you to be a hooligan, the Tuono is the better choice. The SF doesnt mind being chill- the Tuono hates it. Both are great motorcycles

According to aprilia the rs660 engine is literally half of the rsv4 engine that’s been bored out and we all know the rs660 is a cross plane engine. So i’m guessing each of the parallel twins in the V-block is also crossplane which is why the aprilia engine has a meaner deeper and better sound
Yes, the Ducati works with a twin pulse system, making the pistons in the same head fire in a short time one after the other (0, 90, 290, 380 degrees, doing 2 full 360 rotations since it’s a 4 stroke engine). That is done with a 90 degree v and with a 70 degree crankshaft (that rotates in the opposite direction of the wheels). The Aprilia’s engine is a 65 degree v, with a standard 180 degree crankshaft, the resulting sound is similar to the one on the Yamaha r1, but the difference in the v angle makes for a different note. The degrees for the Aprilia are 0, 180, 425, 605. The ones for Yamaha are 0, 270, 450, 540, kinda similar, but to a trained ear they sound different. Yamaha has a higher harmonic pitch, while the Aprilia is more grumbly and hoarse.
Very cool videos guys ! If you ever will have a chance to make a video like this with an Mv Agusta 1000rr would be extremely interesting to watch, that is arguably the most insane naked bike!
For 200 HP machine on street: first need cruise control so can keep it legal long enough to keep it without losing your license and 2nd of all need wind protection......for bikes this fast absolutely need something to stop wind blast...... I would pick Tuono, probably lil cheaper as well
This is so on point. I wonder why nobody else speaking of that? I own MT09, and even with almost twice less HP than these monsters have - I feel that I would love some wind protection to uncover any of it's potential on the highway. In the city - If I will get to twice the allowed speed limit in 0.1 seconds - no noticeable, as it still wheelies every stoplight. Outside of the city - riding at speeds these motors were meant to ride - wind blast becomes a huge issue. If the Tuono plastic is not just pure marketing but actually helps deflecting the windblast in a decent way - I think that's the only bike I would switch to.
$25,000 to compensate for your personality, classic. Thank you for getting your jab in on us Harley guys, I look forward to them every video. There is some truth to what you are saying, I think sometimes Harley riders are a little sensitive.
Like now maybe? Lol. As a non-Harley rider, I didn't take it as a Harley dig, but a Ducati dig! (As Yam parodies on a recent video, Harley riders aren't the only to *ride* their personalities! 😆)
@@TravisTerrell he talked about dentists and Harleys, the Yamaha dealer has 12 Harleys all with extremely low miles. One has 600. Midlife crises buys. Wonder how many were told to get rid of them🤣🤣🤣
I own a super Duke 1290r and a MV AGusta 800rr Pirelli edition. I bought the MV over the Streetfighter and it was more expensive as number 27 out of 200 in the world. The super Duke for the street, hands down as all the power below 9000 rpm. SD makes more power and torque than 99% of bikes with revs below 9000. The Streetfighter is still a Panigale as it does not go crazy until 8000 rpm. Buy the Panigale especially if going to race. I bought the MV as I own the best street bike. I wanted an unique, exclusive triple. Triple similar to V4 with torque and horsepower but more character as not as smooth as a V4. V2’s and triple very unique. Love the sound Tuono over theStreetfighters Big Bang similar V2 sound. Also Streetfighter little more difficult to wheelie with counter rotating crank which is also on the MV. MV does wheelie though as 140 horsepower with just over 400 pounds. Feels like a bicycle it is so small.
Both bikes are so close, that you simply have to say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. I own (and love) the Streetfighter V4S (matt black) but that is just a personal choice. Makes no sense to engage in features battle with these two awesome bikes.
As a 2021 Tuono owner, I can say you understand this bike and love everything about it that I do. The Street fighter is an absolutely gorgeous motorcycle...but, for another 6-8K more than my Tuono I just can't see it making me any happier. Great comparison... thoroughly enjoyed watching this video.
Great job Dudes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tough decision , But also $5000 more for Duc V4S compared to Tuono Factory . Either way ... Makes me want to talk with an Italian accent !!!!! MAGNIFICO !!!
Could be completely bad info, but I heard someone say on a channel that those wings on the streetfighter are purely for pulling heat off the motor quicker and great for all speeds
In other videos these two speak of how these bikes are so powerful that it’s practically unsafe to ride these in/around the city using its full spectrum of power. I am not qualified to give an opinion, but if an hours ride was completed and my wrists were so sore due to riding position of the Aprilia, I guess I’d “settle” for the V4s. I compliment all the great roads the Hill Country provides to have a blast on any of the bikes demonstrated in YN’s videos!
@@AdhamHossam165 lol not a misconception, the ducati v4s is significantly more expensive to buy (almost 10k) and aprilia services are also about 20-30% cheaper than ducati. Last valve check service for the tuono factory was 300-400 while ducati was over 500.
Had the 2019 V4 factory and at 149mph around race straight your just hanging on. Loved it but had to go when i hit 50 year's old. That's too late to be a hooligan @15k GBP 😆Yet on my bussa at that speed it's like doing 50mph. 🤔 . Just be weary when you hit 169mph that's life changing and a 7k bike with 3k mods more bang for the bucks.
Love the new front LED’s of Tuono. Both bikes looks great, though. Can not go wrong with either. What every pulls your heart strings, not specs. So glad Tuono finally has bright LED’s. Tuono’s base model is the most bang for the buck.
Since the Tuono 1100 has had the same motor since 2016 I think its time Aprilia catch up with Ducati in the horsepower department if they want to remain King!
Man seeing spite twist the throttle on that Aprilia for half a second and jump more than 10mph and the gauge can't even track how fast he accelerated is mind boggling. I can't imagine what that would feel like having that much power.
just finished the Aprilia vs V4. Awesome video as i have been up in the air on what to do. Once my HD CVO ultra sells im getting V4. Question- Where do you guys favor riding in the Austin area? I live in Spicewood by the lake and currently have a DRZ400 that i love twisting the grip. Thanks and love the videos
Tha Momma Mia Aprilia is so SPICY!! I road the 660 RS from my local Aprilia dealer and I'm pretty sure it's going to get me may first speeding ticket. The bike is so nice from the cornering capabilities all the way down to the righteous TORQUE!! Call me a uber because my pants are way to wet. All in all it's the next pony I will definitely be buying. Thanks! Yam Daddy for the idea of just ride more and more bikes it's like you know something.
Rode both, own a Tuono V4 1100. Ducati needs revved to get it going, Tuono has power everywhere! Ducati looks great but useless for the road unless your pinning it
Yay!!! I just saw that my “one down five up” shirt came in the mail today. Right in time for Christmas. Thanks Papa Yam. Say hi to the crew for me especially Whitney. (Yes I have a thing for Whitney, what motorcyclist wouldn’t. To have an awesome girl that loves motorcycles!!! A guy can dream right. Her man is a LUCKY guy)
15:06 very true. I have the Tuono (Now MY21) & friend has the SF. I get the jump but a long road he'll beat me in higher gears. Both very fast and little in it upto about 140mph
I love the how other than having a panigale engine in the streetfighter, it has the same seat too, reinforces yams statement of how it’s pretty much a panigale v4 with a different face, also just saying if someone says that streetfighter looks bad, they obviously haven’t seen a superduke 1290(not talking crap, I would love to own a superduke just making a comparison)
V4 for me, because of the engine. I just love V4. I think it vibrates with my inner kid. I don't know what it is but was riding super duke 1290 and i didn't like it because of it's engine.
Throttle response and torque is limited in street and sport mode, put it in race mode or change the engine settings to “high” in the other modes if you want to get everything out of the engine! The modes are all highly customizable, you can mess with how the bike rides quite a bit in the settings.
You guys were talking about the abrupt throttle response of the Tuono... I have the Tuono 660 and the throttle response can be user adjusted in the computer. I would assume big brother has the same kind of adjustment.
Both great bikes, and I have the Tuono, but the Ducati looks pregnant to me and not streamlined at all. Also I live in central Nevada and no cruise control is a deal breaker.
Yam: “Let’s do a video on our top and bottom 5 motorcycles ridden this year.” Spite: “Ok, that sounds fun.” *does video* *video gets uploaded* Life: “That was cute. You guys want a Touno and Streetfigher V4?”
Went to my Ducati dealer in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago and to be honest I don’t like the looks of the streetfighter. It’s not aggressive enough for a bike like this. Just my 2 cents..
DUDE im so struggling, idk whether to go for the streetfighter or the panigale, one thing for sure a 2022 plus im getting for sure but a second bike i do want a ducati, streetfighter has the fk you vibe and the panigale v4 has the imma badbtich vibe but the hayabuster replaced that vibe and maximum safety to cruise daily, damn ducati
Two of the awesomest most bestest bikes of all time. Add the Superduke 1290 to the mix and those are the only 3 girls you'll ever need for a good time. Unless you want to add some extra balls for manscaping then you can add the Kawa H2. Whew! We live in interesting times. Great to be alive!
One of these tuonos or SFs.....R7 or MT 07 are beginner models.......JK Just get MT 09, much better bike with way more features and still pretty cheap.......going from 40HP to 70 isn't really much of a difference There is a chic (tiny lil thing) who cruises around on Ducati supersport 950 in my neighborhood, she just cruises around nothing crazy....... You can ride whatever you want if you've already got basics down...
The streetfighter front head light/instrument assembly is always been too low and that gives that Quasimodo look of being hunchback, ducati just need to raise it a couple of inches along the forks. Apart from that the bike is amazing, but the pinnacle of naked bike Ducati reached it with the Monster S4rs.
I am very surprised yammie likes the tuono more. As a tuono owner myself, I like the streetfighter so much more. The silky smooth throttle response and such a flexible engine that can commute in lower rpm without any complaint or being revved to the moon is such a joy. Also, in the race mode, the power kicks in earlier than tuono, judging by the black rpm gauge the bike was in street or sport mode. Both bikes are top tier but with streetfighter v4 you can ride it every day or take it for long rides or track sessions and the bike will feel great no matter what. While tuono is just as fun on the track I won't take it to any trip or commutes that are longer than 40 minutes, the bike is very exhausting to ride after a while.
That’s kinda surprising. I can easily sit on my tuono all day, in fact I’ve taken it on travels lasting more than a week, simply by strapping a bag on the tail with socks and pants to change. I once did more than 500 miles only on Alpine roads, no highway. Stressful, but mot down to the bike, but to the people I had to filter through in the touristic spots. That’s even more surprising since I’m 6 foot 6, and frankly quite disproportionately big for the bike, but still comfortable. How tall are you, to find it uncomfortable?? For the throttle I highly suggest you to have it remapped, it changed mine radically.
@@lhdrones1775 I'm 6.4 and I own the Tuono since 2017 and I've tried everything from the racing ecu from the Aprilia and brentune's hand flasher and the throttle response is still clunky in lower RPMs, it's just a way Aprilia's ride by wire works. I'm not saying I'm disappointed with the Tuono or it's a bad bike it was my favorite bike since I tried SFV4. SFV4 is a legit perfect motorcycle, in my opinion, it takes everything that is fun and good in tuono makes it even better, and eliminate all of the issues in the Tuono for me. SFV4 is just that good.
@@Fearless154 Concratz to your SF! Seems like you found your bike. I can ride my 2017 Tuono all day. The ONLY negative is, that after a few hours, i can't ride slow any more and it hungers for revs/ ride hard. And this is far from street legal.

7:41 it’s also got uneven firing intervals like the R1 has, hence the noise!
Great video, good job guys!!
Love your channel!
Those first 15 seconds were amazing!
Both bikes are so close, that you simply have to say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. I own (and love) the Streetfighter V4S (matt black) but that is just a personal choice. Makes no sense to engage in features battle with these two awesome bikes.
Hey guys, as a older rider, I always wanted a 80,s Suzuki/Aprilia 250 (Moto GP Race Bike with single lights!) two stroke!!
At this price point, for me, it would come down to a gas gauge and cruise control. The Aprilia takes it.
These arent budget bikes stop being poor minded
You can fit a small windscreen to it too
As a 2021 Tuono owner, I can say you understand this bike and love everything about it that I do.
My two dream bikes, I wanted to be able to ride them both, these two bikes are the reason why I want to ride.
Could be completely bad info, but I heard someone say on a channel that those wings on the streetfighter are purely for pulling heat off the motor quicker and great for all speeds
Love my Streetfighter V4S but yeah both excellent. SF best everyday bike.
Both bikes are great. For me the Streetfighter V4s pls 🔥
These 2 are equal to me, I think I'll have to dig deeper into the service intervals & maintenance costs to make a choice.
The ducati is more expensive to buy and also to own
@@iTxipmisconception
@@AdhamHossam165 lol not a misconception, the ducati v4s is significantly more expensive to buy (almost 10k) and aprilia services are also about 20-30% cheaper than ducati. Last valve check service for the tuono factory was 300-400 while ducati was over 500.
Exhaust and tune turns the Ape into a smooth criminal 😎
Lol the cloud which is in the top middle of the screen around 15:50 onwards looks like an alien head looking down with approval. XD
They're both fantastic. The Aprilia looks way better...
No it doesn't..
@@gambler159 A dozen thumbs up...
Such an important decision - That you really owe it to yourself to Get Both - And sell the one you ride least 🙂
Love the new front LED’s of Tuono. Both bikes looks great, though. Can not go wrong with either. What every pulls your heart strings, not specs. So glad Tuono finally has bright LED’s. Tuono’s base model is the most bang for the buck.
I would go with the Aprilia. The Ducati is nice but I go with the Aprilia.
I absolutely agree
i rode both and chose the Streetfighter.. but both are really nice
The location of the steering dampener on the Ducati looks like a after thought 😳 to me.
Since the Tuono 1100 has had the same motor since 2016 I think its time Aprilia catch up with Ducati in the horsepower department if they want to remain King!
How is the tuono a naked bike? It's got full fairing and a windscreen.
Man seeing spite twist the throttle on that Aprilia for half a second and jump more than 10mph and the gauge can't even track how fast he accelerated is mind boggling. I can't imagine what that would feel like having that much power.
feels godlike
I love how every company tunes the naked bikes down conspired to the pure sport counterpart. EXCEPT DUCATTI. Keeps that 200+ hp
Well, it's usually a bit more of a different tune than a downtune? Seems like most lose a little HP, but significantly widen the torque band.
Skip to 06:00 and you can save 6 minutes of your life before you get into it.
The Ducati is a personal statement,it looks incredible, that said i would have the Aprilia
Finallly! Been waiting 2 years for you guys to take out the V4
just finished the Aprilia vs V4. Awesome video as i have been up in the air on what to do. Once my HD CVO ultra sells im getting V4. Question- Where do you guys favor riding in the Austin area? I live in Spicewood by the lake and currently have a DRZ400 that i love twisting the grip. Thanks and love the videos
Check out the “twisted sisters” three Ranch Roads which are best access in Leaky, Tx
Merry Christmas Yam Squad!
Witch bike has the most comfortable riding position are you leaned over more on the street fighter or on the tuono
Absolutely epic machines. Thanks for breaking them down as we daydream. 🔥💪
Rode both, own a Tuono V4 1100. Ducati needs revved to get it going, Tuono has power everywhere!
Ducati looks great but useless for the road unless your pinning it
Don’t agree. The SFV4S is a perfect road bike due to its almost docile handling until you “choose” to twist the throttle.
Im torn between getting a Super Duke or the Tuono V4 Factory. Im 6'5" so i think i may be more comfortable on the duke.
If money is no object, you will find the V4 to be uncomparable to anything else.
Congratulations on the 1M! You deserve it!
Hearing both of these bikes in person is absolutely insane. you honestly can't go wrong with either of these bikes, they are incredible
V4 for me, because of the engine. I just love V4. I think it vibrates with my inner kid. I don't know what it is but was riding super duke 1290 and i didn't like it because of it's engine.
What's your mic helmet setup to get such Crisp Audio?
Throttle response and torque is limited in street and sport mode, put it in race mode or change the engine settings to “high” in the other modes if you want to get everything out of the engine! The modes are all highly customizable, you can mess with how the bike rides quite a bit in the settings.
Wait whatt??
Did he not put it in Race Mode?
Ur telling me that pull earlier was not full potential; Good god
💀
You guys were talking about the abrupt throttle response of the Tuono... I have the Tuono 660 and the throttle response can be user adjusted in the computer. I would assume big brother has the same kind of adjustment.
Don't tell the Aprilia but that is one beautiful Ducati.
The V4S it's just perfect
the guy who is not yammie, what are those gloves called and where did you get them sir?
Great vid. I think you guys should learn to wheelie though and throw that in as a new category.
For me Aprilia Tuono V4 is cool and friendly to ride, 🤗
Thanks to your awesome anonymous discord member for making this comparison possible! Merry Xmas to all!
PS Aprilia gets my vote, BTW....
Both great bikes, and I have the Tuono, but the Ducati looks pregnant to me and not streamlined at all. Also I live in central Nevada and no cruise control is a deal breaker.
Yam: “Let’s do a video on our top and bottom 5 motorcycles ridden this year.”
Spite: “Ok, that sounds fun.”
*does video*
*video gets uploaded*
Life: “That was cute. You guys want a Touno and Streetfigher V4?”
9:17 That cut made it look like you just yeeted yourself into oblivion.
Went to my Ducati dealer in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago and to be honest I don’t like the looks of the streetfighter. It’s not aggressive enough for a bike like this. Just my 2 cents..
The Dash is sure a lot nicer on the Tuono .
I think Tuono for the win for me.
DUDE im so struggling, idk whether to go for the streetfighter or the panigale, one thing for sure a 2022 plus im getting for sure but a second bike i do want a ducati, streetfighter has the fk you vibe and the panigale v4 has the imma badbtich vibe but the hayabuster replaced that vibe and maximum safety to cruise daily, damn ducati
the N+1 mentality hits me hard after these videos.
For a second bike after your beginner do you recommend a R7 or Yamaha MT 7
One of these tuonos or SFs.....R7 or MT 07 are beginner models.......JK
Just get MT 09, much better bike with way more features and still pretty cheap.......going from 40HP to 70 isn't really much of a difference
There is a chic (tiny lil thing) who cruises around on Ducati supersport 950 in my neighborhood, she just cruises around nothing crazy.......
What do you think between the Duke R yammie?
How would these two get on against an s1k rr in a straight line?
@@Fearless154 I’m better not trying it then, otherwise I’ll be throwing my whole savings at it.
