I will never forgive Dave Filoni for undoing TO Grievous what Genndy did FOR Grievous. Clone wars in general was just so well done; I feel it better portrayed the actual feeling of war in the galaxy better than almost any other SW media ever has. Every battle feels visceral and kept me on the edge of my seat, and even does so each time I rewatch it. Genndy also is just a wonderful world builder and did an excellent job at making SW feel like a completely different universe compared to our own.
I understand why Lucas did the clone wars again... he obviously knew that there was more story to tell when it came to Anakin's downfall, the clones, etc. But even then, I wish several aspects of this original series were brought over into the new one.
You could but he still shouldn't be that weak. I understand that he needed to be nerfed because he was op in the 2003 clone wars (it's not just him who was op other characters were also a bit too powerful) but he didn't need to be absolutelu uncapable
I absolutely agree! I was disappointed when I saw Episode III and Grievous didn't use his legs to fight like he did in Genndy's show and how he wasn't much of this horrifying menace anymore.
EXACTLY!!! Like don't get me wrong, he was super cool in Episode III, but when he uses his leg against Mundi?? And then unveils two more arms in part 2?? You can't beat that!
Hi , 1965 here . And I say we live on a sad world ,where people thinks that CG and real life is better than 2d animation. The studios were so much after something that was easier , that make their products , and audience , lazier ...

You could say that when mace damaged grievous's lungs, that could have affected him in Episode lll thus making him less powerful.

Hot take:
I don;t mind the 3D clone wars’ grievous.
He fits the show’s pulp sci fi tone.
Agreed! While I do prefer this version of Grievous, he never felt out of place in the new clone wars series.
@@NickPoulimenakos thanks for responding man.
This was nightmare Grievous. Everyone was talking about his character reveal at the end of volume one!
Just think
The cgi now would make him move like this
@@580mafiarecords4 but would Lucasfilm keep up the terror aspect of the character? They go hand in hand!
