- we got to explore a rare 1967 Lincoln Continental LIMOUSINE in amazing condition at the TXG studios in Glendale, CA.
on top of such an awesome classic we also got to check out a cherry 1967 Lincoln Continental 4 door sedan!!!

My dad used to own one. And was running his own limo business, when I was born this was the car I got out of the hospital and brought home.

I'll never understand why gangsters drove Caddys when the deep-well Lincoln trunk could carry so many more bodies... ;0> Also interesting that the limo has a right-side-view mirror, which was sorely lacking on so many of these huge cars until the mid-70's. And I'd swear that while the rear compartment has an AM/8-track, the dashboard has an AM/FM radio.
RIGHT? it's still a magnificent car with all of it's weird quirks!
p.s. i think the reason they chose caddy's is the name, prestige (lincoln's never could top cadillac's hype)...but i'm thinking also, that the caddy's had better performance... my 66 sedan de ville would lay rubber every time i slammed the pedal to the metal...
just a thought.

mushedroom's toy box Good man just moving back in! Well just the way they were designed, unconventional, no thought for maintenance or repair. For example the power steering pump was driven off the front on the crank. The front opening hood was a pain to work around, everything was pretty much just crammed in!
poochefmarowbe gotcha. ugh probably why they're not so common. i know my 66 sedan de ville was so humongous in the engine bay, you could get inside of it to work on the car if you wanted to. lol
