I'm 99% sure those headlights are NOT original. They look to be from a 1987-90 Caprice. Us fans of lowriders know those as "Euro" headlights. In the late 80's GM re-vamped a lot of their Mid and Full Sized RWD cars with one peice composite headlamps. They could be fond on 87 Cutlasses, 87-90 Caprices and the 87 Monte Carlo LS "Luxury Sport" they were known as "Euro Clips" amongst the lowrider community. Cadillac received the Euro style composite headlamps on this body style in the 1990-92 RWD Brougham. This doesn't have the Brougham headlamps however. For those reason the 1990-92 Cadillac Brougham is much more popular than the 80's model. Aside from just the beautiful much more modern headlamps, it also had these gorgeous additional rocker panels. The final reason why the 90-92 Caddies are preferred is for the 5.0 and especially the 5.7 Fuel Injected V8's. Compared to that nightmare of the HT4100, it's an exponentially better powertrain. Some lowriders will take the 1980-85 Coupe Deville (and especially the rarer 2 Door Fleetwood Brougham (80-85) and swap over the 90-92 Euro Front-End, they mold the rocker Panels to work on a 2 door. They swap the interior with the D'Elegance pillow top seats and the much cooler Digital Dash found on the 90-92 4 Doors. The real purists will even swap the 90-92 Brougham Frame on their 80-85 2 Doors to have the better powertrain and ABS. Essentially creating the 90-92 Cadillac Brougham in a 2 door, which never existed. They're really cool, one of the ultimate Cadillac. It's mostly a lowrider thing. I think it's a great display of ingenuity.
THIS one IS a Brogham d'egegance 1991. The composite headlights were intro'd in 1991 in this model. This also would have been the 5.7 V8. This car, brand new, not as a limo but as the BD'el, would have cost about 25K. About 75k-80K in today's sticker price.

A little research revealed that this car was an '88.

All the limousines, today, seem to have cheapazz interiors, with excessive disco lighting. That's fine, I guess, for kids. But, this Trump car is clearly designed for grownups, thus it appeals to me.

“Not very good?” Some of the best cars and trucks that ever rolled out of the factories were built in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. Cadillac specifically has had problematic engines for probably the last 2 1/2 decades, but apart from Cadillac, I’d rather have any of that ‘80’s and ‘90’s stuff than the fast, unimaginative, TOTALLY devoid of personality transpo pods we have being turned out today.
I thought the same thing as these cars are pretty bulletproof all around. It’s true that Cadillac had some engine issues with the HT 4100 and the Northstar, but this has an Olds 307 which, although not overly powerful, is super reliable and pretty hard to destroy. This was also true for other engines that were put in the full-sized cars, like the 5.0 and 5.7 Chevy motors and later the Chevy LT1. I own several of these cars and rarely have issues with them despite being 30+ years old.
I actually liked the luxury cars of the 80's. They still were about luxury instead of sport. Can turn the wheel with one pinky, gave a comfy sofa-like feel and the ride was soft and smooth. Not meant for racing but enjoying the ride😁
