      All of the time.
      Don't kid yourself. The universe is not soft and cuddly. It's sharp, freezing, rough, abrasive, toxic and burning. Life is nothing but struggle, pain and disappointment. Like death, it's inevitable.
      We're supposed to enjoy the positive things that life on Earth offers: beauty, love, joy, flowers, the northern lights, the smell of a cactus blossom, soft puppies and cherish every positive moment we can for a reason. They are not the norm.
      If they were, we would cherish fire and pain instead.

    • @joyc.e.7511
      @joyc.e.7511 3 роки тому +34

      @@YouDontKnowAsMuchAsYouThinkUDo I believe you're looking at things a bit too negatively. We absolutely should cherish every positive moment we have, but we don't need to let the negative consume us. You told the OP "don't kid yourself", but why do you think they were doing that and then felt the need to emphasize the unfair? There's nothing wrong or delusional about focusing on the positive. We need more of that actually.

I could only hope that her last moments were nothing but peaceful and content, and that she knew how loved she was. Her parents were so strong for managing a smile in front of her. I felt regret for everything I and humanity has done to cause this. If it wasn't for all we would't be in this path that lead to death. But God has granted us the desicion in this short life to choose life again. Sadly we see the consequence of our sin, our bad doing in this horrible ways, our fault, we are to blame, but God has a plan to restitute it all that the devil has taken away in the sacrifice of His own flesh, His only Son, Jesus, He gave everything so we could be with Him, alive again, we need to hold on to that, we need to remain faithful this time and he will see our hearts that he gave us and be with Him again when His Kingdom come, death has no power over those who have chosen life, over those that repent and have choose Jesus. The tree of life, the only Way.
      To mourn is good, there is nothing that this world can give. Only God gives hope.

      Absolutely. I’ve seen enough videos like this (not that I seek them out, but I get curious when I come across it) where the kids are so fully aware of their condition. They are so mature and calm, but still maintain that sense of childhood innocence. To us, we see what could have been a future for them, but to them, they have no clue. They are able to grasp that they are sick, they are in pain, and they may not see their family again one day. Death isn’t what they fear, it’s not being able to see their parents that does. Ugh, cancer is awful, but childhood cancer is a whole other beast. I wish these kids didn’t have to suffer.

      Put videos into a public arena like UA-cam, and no reasonable person could possibly expect only one type of comment. There is always the option to “turn comments off” if the uploader isn’t prepared for a range and/or volume of opinions.
      Frankly, it seems that you chose to ignore the overall meaning of my comment & instead chose to be offended - saying I “insulted” the family. That was not my intent WHATSOEVER - therefore, I will not apologize.
      I am befuddled by your contention that I “generalized” people. How so? At 58, I’ve been around for a while. I’m fairly well-traveled, intelligent, and a decent observer. People either DO believe in supernatural forces (a “higher power”), they waffle (“I’m not religious, I’m ‘spiritual.’”, agnostics), or they make it clear that they DON’T believe in god(s), ghosts, & magic. What else is there? I’m in the last category. I’ve never been a believer, thus I refer to myself as a “natural atheist.” I didn’t DEconvert because I wasn’t converted in the first place. Insult? * lol * If I had a dime for every time I’ve been out-&-out insulted for being an atheist, I’d have a lot more money than I do now!
      Lastly - I’m sure my opinion doesn’t matter to the family, why would it? Their faith seems to be very solid to me. As far as I’m aware, one’s belief in a “higher power” isn’t contingent on it’s popularity with humans . . . is it?

Imagine finally being able to let your child spend the rest of their time with their family in a more home like environment, rather than a hospital filled with memories of pain and suffering- where you aren't necessarily allowed to meet or be touched or hugged by your family.
