One thing that may help with replacing hoses. If it’s a long hose, we always tie a string to the opposite end we’re pulling from. That way when you to put your new hose on, tie the string on it and pull. No more guessing on the route and shouldn’t have to reach your arm way up in tractor. BTW: you guys are nuts!!!🤣🤣🤣
That`s allways worked for me too. Wiring routing also.

You are not missing a cap on the ram duely. How ever you can get a after market cap. Aluminum with a rubber O-ring to keep the dirt and water out of the filler area.

Now that you got all those battery cables on the correct positives & negatives, NOW would be a good time to go through and wrap red and black tape on cable ends!!!
Quick tip for battery cables. Red electrical tape does exist. Use it.

Amazon has some fuel caps I got one and it works well
Don't let Def fluid get into the diesel tank. It will destroy the diesel motor. If you haven't seen a diesel motor with a hole in the engine block just pour Def fluid down the fuel tank and crank it up and stand back. Make sure you have a full billfold of money for the new motor.
That grain truck has anti theft! You make all the battery cables the same color that way when someone try’s to steal it it’ll just burn to the ground! “If I can’t have it nobody can!”

Walked by you guys at the farm show on your way to the geringhoff booth. Didn’t want to stop you since it looked like you were on a mission. But caught Doug out in a hallway and got to meet him. Pretty cool!
On the ram it’s a cap less fuel system from the factory. You can get aftermarket caps for it. Although if don’t push the fuel nozzle past the second spring door it will run on the ground.

my ram 2500 did not come with a cap either i had problems with water in the fuel and i found a cap on amazon and fixed my problem

Your not missing anything on your fuel “cap”, it’s like that because of the DEF fill cap.
That DEF will eat your paint fast, I use to have a bottle of water ready for any drops of that garbage if any got spilled.
It’s basically nitrogen.

There are aftermarket companies that make caps to put on your fuel tank fill hole. The work truck I drive didn’t come with anything either.

Must be a design floor with CIH we did the same thing 4-5 years ago with out Steiger. Not wrong about how had it is to get up into there to replace it. We just go a custom hose made a lot cheaper then case parts but like you we wrapped it up in a protective plastic to stop the rubbing it's lasted this long so we did something I guess.
Chet says, “ what ever way you think it goes, do the opposite “. I live by the 50/50/90 rule. When you have a 50/50 chance, 90% of the time you will be wrong. Works every time.

Geno's Garage online sells a fuel cap that keeps the water out of the neck.
Next time Dougo, take some tape and mark them positive and negative as you pull them. Save some aggravation when you get around to hooking them back up
Or try red, black or white perm markers.

Lots of busy busy work in the shop right now. Getting one fixed and bringing another in to be worked on.
Red IH tractor is fixed. Combines are done and ready to go. Several other jobs done. You all are doing great.
Getting the tire and rim fixed on the gator is good by letting the gator company do it. They have the tools. Good show.

That’s the one thing I’ll give caterpillar the parts may be twice the price of anybody else but they’re lines and hoses are all numbered and I’ve always gotten the right parts .

You can definitely buy a cover for the diesel tank on the Ram. I had to buy one for my truck also. It’s just a fit on cover, no locking.
6:33 After tightening the last bolt on the left, the sieve settled in it place a little bit more. I'd give more tightening to it.
The difference between men and boys are the price of their toys, and this definitely applies to the Larsons.
We do about 5 hoses per year on our 4wd new holland and it never ceases to amaze me just how difficult some of them are to get in and out

On the dually Chet you can get a magnetic aluminum cap that covers the fuel hole. Genos Garage or Amazon has lots of them. They come from the factory exactly like what you were looking at.
Check alternator on back of alternator the center bearing see if a paper clip sticks when not running key off if so the alternator is open and drawing juice out of the batteries

Where I am here in Canada we had this freeze and thaw last year too and the winters here aren’t like they used to be we don’t have as much snow like 6 to 8 years back

No Chet there is no cover just the door for that fuel fill. My Ford F150 gas is the same way
All I can say for the Big Swede is OH MY. But liked hearing that other people have sparks that fly off the battery too. It was pretty nice knowing that the sieve and chaffer can get recalibrate
The solenoid might be a series parallel switch that arranges the cables to the starter at 24 volt only for starting & when the solenoid turns off it arranges the cables to 12 volt for the truck
It’s a double dry break and your Ram truck. Amazon sells billet caps for them it’s what I have on my 2020

When you install and remove sieves spray the edge with spray silicone it will make them easier to move this also helps your electric windows to last longer once a year spray the edge of your window run then up and down the window moves easier and the electric motors last longer.
Yep. There's an aftermarket cap for the diesel fill port you can buy. I bought one for the DEF port also. Helps keep things out of the tanks!

My 23 ram cummins has the same fuel ,Def setup. There are after market caps for the fuel filler that are reasonably priced from American trucks. I finally know a little more about something than you guys, haha. Really enjoy watching you all work.

All case hydraulic hoses have the part number stamped into the fittings. Find that number and have the right hose the first time

Not missing anything on the new pick up. There are green plugs you can buy that just push in to keep debris and water out of the fuel fill hole
There is a fuel cap you can get. I put one on mine.
No cap that’s the way they are. Sounds like a 855 big cam in the ole grain truck.
Cut those bottom straps on the legs of your hopper bottom. Clean the debris out and weld them back up. They will work like new. At least they did on ours. Good luck

My dad put one of those plastic pipe thread covers in his to keep the dirt and moisture out because yeah, we did not like having an open hole where you fill diesel

Yes Chet, you are missing the fuel cap. Mine on my Ram is green made out of aluminum with an O-ring on it.
