One thing i've learned, is that it's not just the graphics card, but the little things that make all the difference, the typing experience, the touchpad, the screen, whether you can plug in to a docking station over usb c and charge as well as do video, etc...
Agreed. However, its hard to achieve all that without entering the mid/high tier territory. Besides, most people are only concern about performance and temp anyway.
@@dokidoki5850 well do you have any suggestions for mid/high tier which is not very heavy and noisy? I hate fan noises Special since I have Helios 300 and it's bothering me for a long time
@*ClipsAndChips*I definitely should. I have a quest 2 and I use it on my desktop back home (i9 9900k + 3080) and it runs great. Havent tried on the laptop but I definitely should at some point. Hopefully when I get back this winter and grab myself the new among us game.
Hey pc centric just wanted to thank you for making me actually wanna move to pc and helping choose the right things for my pc build. Lots of love. Love you content keep up the good work
I spent a little more and got a 3070 130w laptop. It's only like 15% faster but the extra 2gb of vram I feel will make a big difference in the long term and I keep my computers for 5 years at the minimum. I bought it to retire my older gtx 1070 gaming laptop.
Still loving my last year's Aorus 15G, RTX 3060, i7 10870H at 105W. Excellent build quality and more than enough gaming power to run Tomb Raider / Guardians of the Galaxy style games for a good few years yet 👌
hello mate im trying to buy a gaming laptop and i was thinking of aorus 15p 3070 and the asus one i have no idea what to buy since all youtube videos are sponsors they cant really say bad things about the laptops
@@wahebskull I was undecided between the ASUS ROG G15 and the Aorus 15G back when I bought the laptop, what sold it to me with the Aorus was the dual channel RAM slots and MUX switch, where as the ASUS had a fixed RAM slot so you could only upgrade one RAM card and no MUX switch. As well, it was the availability of stock as the pandemic hit supply chains hard so many specific products were difficult to get hold of. At the end of the day, it's personal preference, from screens to CPU power, what you look for in a gaming laptop, how you will use it in daily tasks and the types of games you play, are they competitive or RPG's. Realistically, an RTX 3070 would have been my preference for the games I play like Tomb Raider and A Plague Tale, but prices back then were still high as the 30 series GPU's were newly released, but honestly and RTX 3060 and above is powerful enough, bearing in mind the wattage. Know what you want first, then decide on the laptop. Think he made a video on this too, but from what I've experienced through many reviews, I'd go for an ASUS ROG, Lenovo Legion, MSI or Gigabyte/Aorus.
The jump from the 3060 laptop to the 3070 is insane...almost double you can buy now and replace after 2 years for this price, the 3060 is more the enough for gaming and I wouldn't the something weaker then the 3060,the difference in price is not big
@@kaishajacobye Out of curiosity, what are most components thermally rated up to? I'm trying to get into getting a "gaming" laptop, which is more just a powerful laptop I can use for my job while having the luxury for games during any downtime I have at work. Being able to run CAD while also playing DRG with the boys on lunch after building server/AV racks would be nicey nice.
@@FriezaSucks CPUs rate upto 105 degrees celcius depending on CPU. 3000 series GPU are rated upto 87 degrees celcius. CPUs average temperatures while gaming is around 90 degrees celcius, and the average GPU temps with max wattage is about 80 degrees celcius. These are normal temps for a gaming laptop
Nah, it didn’t, only cp2077 really kill 3060 due to 6Gbs Vram so 3060 got struggle with frame rate. Other than that 3070 is like 15% faster than 3060. Or some game 3060 only 5% slower than 3070 like csgo
I would suggest a good extended warranty on the cheap laptops being a must. My Acer, which i actually enjoyed a lot (1650/ryzen 5 nitro 5) until it died 1 year and 1 month after purchase. No warranty, goodbye money. My fault, for not getting it. So get the warranty, it's worth it. You never know where they cut the corners, just that they did
@@Bootymuncher23They'll charge you an outrageous amount for an off warranty repair. My college PC blew out its sound card after 3 years and they were gonna charge me 450 dollars to fix it.
The good thing with MSI thin is they generally seem to ship with a single stick of 8gb ram which is daft (no dual channel to begin with)but makes it cheaper to upgrade.Just upgraded my sons 1650 MSI thin and its cheaper to buy one stick of 8gb than 2 as i had to with my acer nitro
Thank you, I found this illuminating. I think I chose well with the GIGABYTE - 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz Gaming Laptop - i5-11400H - 16GB - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 - 512 GB SSD on sale for $700. I am not a demanding gamer, and am pretty much looking to play Ashes of Creation Alpha 2 next summer, and then Pantheon Rise of the Fallen Alpha a bit later, which will not be as demanding as Ashes.
im just wondering if you suffer from bios problems as i heard that the G5 does suffer from them, ive also been looking at the 2023 version with 4050 for 1,899 but not sure if it suffers from bios problem as well
I have a 5900x, 64gb ram, 3070 and 144hz ultrawide desktop PC, so I wasn't trying to get a desktop replacement laptop ... but a few months ago I got a Lenovo Legion 7 Slim with a Ryzen 7 5800h, 16gb, 500gb NVME, RTX 3060 and 1440p 165hz IPS screen for £1100. It's mostly for work, but I play a few games when I travel too. I've been very impressed with it so far, and since I play Cyberpunk 2077 on my big rig the laptop mostly plays StarCraft 2, Civilisation VI, Mass Effect Legendary Edition and it runs these at max settings 1440p flat out whilst in power saving mode, meaning it's cool and fairly quiet. I only need to turn it up to balanced mode and it runs the Witcher 3 nearly maxed out at 1440p well over 60fps. Laptop hardware has come a really long way for efficiency and performance in only a couple of generations...
For many MAC users like me, a reasonably priced gaming laptop is essential for enjoying my favorite older PC titles. A current gen console is great for enjoying new AAA games but many of my favorite older titles on the spectrum between terrible and unplayable on a console. One of my good friends is in the same boat. We both have MacBooks that we use for work so I don't particularly care about the overall build quality of the gaming laptop, or about it having other frivolous features. My friend does not have room for a second desktop setup so he got an MSI laptop with an i5,16GB of Ram, 500GB SSD, and a 3060 on sale for about $900.
@damianwojcikiewicz3951 I was using my PC for work the other day because my Mac was out of commission. I also realized how much I miss using windows for productivity. There are so many quality of life features that are just missing from Mac OS. A simple one is being able to view the entire file path in the attachment window in outlook. I love the build quality of my Mac and it is great at being a laptop but the PC is a better overall computer.
One thing almost no one knows is the graphics cards are about 20% weaker in the laptops compared to the same cards in the desktops due to the power supply.
I bought an HP OMEN 17 2022 laptop with an Intel Core i7 12700H CPU, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU, 17" 1440p 165 Hz LCD screen, and 2 TB Micron NVMe SSD for 1899 USD or roughly 1664 GBP back in July of this year from Micro Center. This thing is stupid fast, and I've been playing Elden Ring at 1440p maxed settings at 59-60 FPS constant. I'm excited to try out games that have Ray Tracing and DLSS.

Why aren't UA-camrs like yourself not recommending refurbished and outlet laptops? I got a 2021 Alienware M17 R4 with a 360hz refresh panel, full numerical, and rgb per keyboard, with a 3070, i7 10th gen, 16gb ram, and 1 TB ssd for 1400$ after tax. After selling my 2012 M17xR4, which I originally got for 400$, for that 400$ back I only spent 1000$ for a year old 3600$ laptop.
Used to have an i7 9th Gen 1660Ti Omen (1.2k) and now the i9 11th Gen RTX3070 Acer Predator (1.5k). The Omen was amazing considering I only started gaming during lockdown and thus was casual, but damn for £300 extra I now have a beast that can run practically any game I couldn't before.

There are actually a lot of discounts and sales on the gaming laptop industry since companies release newer version almost every year , You just need to catch one .
I'm looking for a solid mobile workstation -- I type for a living and travel for work, so I often need something that works straight out of the backpack. What I care about: 1) Durability/Build 2) Built-in 4G LTE (or maybe 5G), anything that can keep me on the internet if I find myself in a place with no wi-fi 3) Battery Life 4) Keyboard Quality 5) Power (it is nice to have that little bit of punch when running multiple applications) What I don't care about: 1) Gaming performance (I'm a console guy) 2) RGB/Blingy stuff I've been trying to find the ideal mobile workstation for me for a few weeks now and have found nothing, please help. Also, love the channel!
The evolution of price and specs is fast. I bought a Laptop 7 years ago for £1600 with a GTX 965m. Now upgrading to a used MSI Katana with RTX 3060 for £400 ☠️
Just found this video and can i say the best one ive seen. I’m new to PC/Laptop gaming and trying to find a decent starter/midrange. Not going to be playing the latest AAA games on ultra but want something i can use for the next couple of years and the way you broke this down and explained what’s important is great. Other channels just waffle through CPU and GPU like we all know what is what with the naming conventions but you made it seem easier to follow. So thank you. (Still dont know what laptop I’m going to get haha)
7 decades old guy here. My computer knowledge simply has not kept up since a TRS-80. Overwhelmed w/gaming laptop choices these days. Think => Putting a puzzle together w/o seeing the box top image. Recommendations for a gaming laptop between $1200 - $1500 that would easily support PGA 2k23. ~ Much Thanks ~
Hey, great video! I’ve been doing a lot of research and I’m surprised you didn’t say anything about Lenovo legion 5-7? They are around £1.1K and, in my opinion, the best value laptops out there. What’s your opinions on them?
Man, I just got a Steal of Deal! Picked up an Asus G14 Ryzen 5800HS and RTX 3060 for $799!! I upgraded the RAM from 12Gb to 24Gb and the SSD from 512Gb to a nice 1Tb . It plays everything so well at native 1080p I might drop a 2/4Tb SSD in there. I absolutely love it. Still, playing everything at native 4k completely maxed out on my XFX 7900 XTX (3GHz:) and 5950x is still amazing, obviously. For a little bitty laptop though, I'm amazed 👏
As an owner of the Acer NItro 5, the keyboard does have a 4-zone RGB lighting backlit keyboard and you can control the colours with Nitrosense. Well I'm not sure if the one in the video is the same model or type, but the specs are the same as mine.
Mine has trouble playing certain games, it plays Overwatch 2 just fine, chugged trying to play spiderman, glitched out trying to play Marvel Midnight Sun to the point cutscenes would rewind and start over and that game is less pretty than Spider-Man, and freezes in the middle of Call of Duty 4 MW (The old one!) Cutscenes, not even gameplay which runs smooth but a cutscene and it's consistent.
Thank you for the video and information! I am currently in the market for a new laptop. I will be running weather models and live streaming most of the time. What do you recommend? I currently have a Lenovo Laptop with a Core i7-7700U with 16gb ram, it runs good, just getting older and need to think about upgrading. Thank you for your time
First foray into pc gaming and I got recommended by a friend to get an Asus tuf with an i5 cpu and a gtx1650, cost me £500, seeing it can play modern games at 1080p above 60fps I'm very happy with it. The upgradeable ram and storage is nice as well, it makes me want to look at desktops down the line but for now it works for me.
I bought a clearance Omen laptop about 4 years ago. Full 1070, 144 Hz 17’ screen is perfecto for 1080p and I don’t see myself upgrading any time soon. I didn’t really need the i7, i5 would hav been fine and easier to cool.
Can you make new (*2023) version of this great video? Asus tuf A17 ( ryzen9 and rtx 4070), A 16 ( ryzen 9 radeon graphic card), F 17, rog strix g16, zephyrus g16, msı, asus etc what you offer. those are all around 1500£ and need help for wich is best ?
I still prefer a laptop to desktop Every time I love the portability of laptops I love the fact that you can carry ur laptop anywhere and play anywhere you like but that’s impossible with a desktop even tho they are more powerful
I brought a aorus 15 for €1700. It has a rtx 3070 ti and Intel 12700 H. I'm happy with the purchase and I hope it lasts 5+ plus years because I wanted specs that are future resistent. Some of devs are coming out with games with recommended requirements set at Vram requirements at 6Gb. I even saw some games that recommended 8 GBs of Vram. This would mean that there is a good chance that in less than 2 years you won't be able to play games on high settings on the RTX 3060 laptop and in 4 years might not be even able to meet the minimum requirements for some games.
So if we consider i7 12700H and 3070ti laptop, why not consider something like MSI GP66? It's for 1,5k right now and had one of the highest fps in games compared to other similar spec laprops due to power allocation. GPU on that thing can use 150W and that took the FPS to 3080 levels. And if we're already there, why not consider GE66 or even GE67(but this one come close to Aorus 17 price, but it's OLED 240HZ!!). TBH, I'm a bit lost at the available options. There's also Legion 5i Pro with same specs but apparently better build quality. Lot's of options to consider nowadays
Actually the acer nitro 5 does have an Rgb keyboard setting (press the nitro button and go to keyboard settings you can change colors, make it rgb, change the speed along with direction of the colors, and you can change the keyboard brightness)
i bought a lenovo idea pad gaming 3 back in 2022 it worked for awhile but it is definitely a pain in the ass to play games on, graphics are great, no glitches, but it gets HOT! The fans don’t work right either. my computer got so hot that my screen broke. I always had my computer elevated to were it can breathe and cool itself, i cleaned the fans every couple months. now i can’t even play valorant on it Without it crashing. works for a good amount of time but definitely not a gaming laptop to buy if you want it to last more then 4/5 years.
@@ZahraaFokeer pretty good. I live in India so it gets hot a lot so, I game in rooms with air conditioning only and keep fan speed higher. Rarely the CPU touches 90 degrees and the GPU is cool all the time. Fps is not a problem on this one but I still keep dlss on quality and resolution on 1440p, graphic settings one below the maximum ultra settings preset. 100 fps + on all the games I have played so far.
I love my MSI GE66 DragonShield LE. It has I7-10875H (8C/16T), RTX 2070 (Max P, 115W), 240Hz 1080P Display, Mux Switch, 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 Ram, 1TB Nvme and tons of ports (USB C 3.2 Gen 2/DP (10Gbps), USB C 3.2 Gen 2*2 (20Ggps), 2x USB A 3.2, 1x USB A 3.1, Full high speed SD Card Reader, HDMI 2.0/mini DP). It constantly outperforms RTX 3060 laptops.
Great vid. Really struggling at the moment to decide between getting a something along the lines of a Legion 5 pro or a Asus tuf dash F15. Budget around £1500 (hopefully including upgrades to the ram and storage). What do we reckon? Trying to nurse my dying Dell Inspiron gaming 7000 from 2017 to the Black Friday deals...
For that money I would suggest the new Helios 300 or the HP Omen 15. Both have a Ryzen 5800H and 3070 I think. Not sure of the Helios exactly but it's the new 2022 version (don't get the 2021 and 2020 ones they're bad). The Omen 2020 and 2021 are good.
I have a gaming desktop but a laptop is much easier to bring around (despite my own gaming desktop being able to fit in a hand carry its not a slouch either 3080 ti and 5600x.) i know people dont have too much disposable income but I buy laptops that dont look big and ugly. Unfortunately the cheaper ones are like that.
I bought an MSI Titan GT75 four years ago, 8gig GTX1080... still game on it, even new AAA games run at max settings flawlessly $3600. worth every penny
hello @PC centric im selling my 3070 3700x 16gb desktop for a laptop but I want almost the same performance if not more is a 3070ti 140w i7-12700H 16gb laptop gonna do just that? its the msi crosshair one
Hi pc centric. Currys in the UK are offering the g5 for 700 quid and it's got a 11400 and a 3060 in it. Would you say thats a bargain and one I should go for. I was looking as high as a legion 5 Pro with a 70ti and a 12700. It is twice as much though. Would you say its worth twice as much for the admittedly not insignificant performance increase. I'm not sure. What do you think?
I am 2 for 2 of buying an $899 Asus Laptop every 5 years. my 2015 laptop was kinda obsolete about when I bought it being a 2 core 4t "i7" with an 840m gpu but my 2020 laptop still kicks ass and will likely keep me happy until 2025 being a 4800H (8c/16t) with a rtx 2060.
You do not need to spend alot at all there is like a 1000 awesome games from the last decade that look and plays great and alot of indies that are awesome aswell. i think a 1650TI is pretty decent and budget friendly. If you dont care about the newest of the newest AAA games on highest settings. i can recommend a Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 with Ryzen 5 4600H, 1650TI, 120HZ, 512GB SSD, 4GB VRAM, it comes with 8GB ram but you can upgrade it to 16GB ram for dirt cheap. its a great budget laptop trust me.
There’s a plethora of videos out there comparing the two as they aren’t new cards. Start with those and use them to make YOUR OWN assessment and decision.
I bought a Dell G15 5520, lemme know if it was worth it for $1249 It has an RTX 3060, i7 12700H, 1080p 165Hz 3ms, 16GB RAM DDR5, 1TB PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD, and an Orange Backlit Keyboard
Thank you so much you deserve a sub honestly I’ve looked at many other videos and they all are so much money like 1000-2000 even when it said "budget" in the title
The answer is $0.00 Just get a really powerful desktop, a generator, a big backpack and carry it around where you go, and use a vr headset to see the display
My hp elite book 1040 G5 works just fine for me, i dont plan on upgrading anytime soon but if i should upgrade 1040 G8.... Hp are so good and lovely, their security is really good.
16 is good. I use 16GB in my desktop with a 3080 and 3800X. not the highest end possible but games normally use around 10GB RAM at most at max settings. Current gen consoles have 16 GB shared memory between GPU and RAM. I've read the GPU can use up to 12GB so that really only leaves 4GB for RAM when doing so. Games will be made to run on current consoles so 16GB should not be an issue for awhile and upgrading is easy to do if needed.
The question should be. "Should you buy a gaming laptop?!" Because most people that buy it don't need as a laptop and could get a lot more bang for the buck making a miniITX system into a 10l case. It's compact enough to be portable in a backpack if you want to go to a lan party or play at the hotel on vacation and doesn't have any drawbacks versus a full size tower. If you really need a laptop to be used off grid while on the move, like in the train or plane whatever, get a max 14" ultrabook/whatever else name style of laptop, those ultra light, no dedicated gpu. Those are for portable needs if you want a windows OS and not a tablet and it's more cumbersome for productivity OS (android/ios)
Hello! Can you pls suggest the best between Dell G15 5520, 3060 (2022)/ Asus F17 3060 (2022) / Legion Pro My purpose is for video production & MUX switch is my priority.
Just picked up a laptop for my sister. Its the Alienware M17 with a 6850M XT (12GB) and Ryzen 6900HX, 16 GB of RAM, 1TB m.2 SSD and 1080p 360HZ 17.3 inch display for 1,323USD. Dell was having some nice sales. 900 off retail price plus another coupon for 27 off using honey. Origin was also having a sale on their Desktop replacement that had a desktop CPU(i7-11700K) and 3080 (16GB) ,4K screen for 1364. I thought about buying that but its a bit bulky and might crush her. just checked and sale is still up as of now for the New EON17-X. I think the thing runs at 300 watts so plenty of power for the CPU and GPU.
Got the Asus Tuf video 1650 , 16gb ram, 144hz screen. It does nice job I game on 1080p so its all I need right now. I dont even cool it just put it on my desk and play. GPU goes to 64C max its cool on touch not even get heated. The thing I like is theres 3 options from the ARMOURY CRATE software: silent , performance and turbo. I keep it on turbo all the time and it runs on 4.1GHz it boost itself more if I do gaming. Have in mind its little bit noisy on turbo mode. I like the colorful keyboard and thats pretty much it. I never had issues so far not even blue screen and I keep it on for a whole week no restart sometimes.
What are your thoughts on the MSI Crosshair 17 - I have seen lots of reviews on the 15" model with the RTX 3070 graphics cards but this one has the RTX 3060 ? - I want to use it for photo and video work so any info on the screen quality would be great
Hey I have a question. I am buying a PC, so should I go with the more expensive but better GPU or a significantly cheaper but lightly worse GPU, especially GTX 1560 vs RTX 3050?
Always keep looking for discounts as the gf63 thin would cost 850 euro without discount and 800 with the discount shown in the video. Though I've currently managed to find an MSI katana gf66 with an i5 11th gen, FHD IPS 144hz display, rtx3050 ti, 16gb ram for nearly the same price. Stores are cycling through deals every week so keep an eye on it.
I was thinking of going for a lenovo legion 5 with a 5800h with a 3060 or 6600m but they recently went up in price as cheapest place was currys. Now debating about the lenovo ideapad with a 5800h, i think it had a 1660 ti from currys around £700. Not going to be used for gaming really but more productivity, programming, virtual machines so looking at 8 cores, good quality screen and build quality. If you have any recommendations for something that would be awesome. Also, love the fact you also talk about laptops since it can be a lot more convenient for a lot of people

A bit unrelated to this video. With rising costs in the UK, I'd like some advise from you or your viewers. Thinking of retiring my gaming PC and replacing it with a Mini PC. I mean do you think it is possible to bring my Platinum PSU along for the ride and build a energy efficient PC?
I actually think that the production value of this video is quite high. I like the quaity of it. This is a relatively big channel but boy oh boy, the views are low... Guess not so many of your subs care about gaming laptops? Well, idk. The presentation was solid nevertheless. However I'd like to point out that not only the model of the laptop components should be mentioned, but also the wattage they are allowed to run at. I saw that 3070ti getting beaten or tied by that 3070 again and again. Is the difference between those two so narrow? No... There's not enough power available... Also, avg fps really don't tell the whole story... They never did... So... To anyone that cares enough in order to read this comment: See reviews and benchmarks for the specific laptop you are interested in. There are 3070s out there that perform worse than some 3060 Tis. Watch those reviews, do some research in order to find out if the GPU is being given enough power to strech its legs and also... DO A FAVOR TO YOUR PRETTY EYES and buy a laptop with an IPS panel... Don't get a TN one... Please, from the bottom of my heart and for everything that is dear to you, DON'T O_O

Hello, Lovely video by the way. Planning to get a gaming laptop for the first time. Which brands wpuld anyone suggest especially handling the overheating issue.
I got very lucky, when I decided to buy my gaming laptop I found a open box, like new Prometheus 17 (I7 11800h, 32gb ram & rtx3080 ) for $1300! It was a bit above my budget but was not going to pass that up.
@@aldrinantony4145 It does get toasty. I know the new models are water cooled and literally come with a separate tower for that function. (kind of defeats the purpose of it being a portable system) Theres always gonna be a trade off some where. More power = more heat. I'm not a marathon gamer so it doesnt bother me.
One thing i've learned, is that it's not just the graphics card, but the little things that make all the difference, the typing experience, the touchpad, the screen, whether you can plug in to a docking station over usb c and charge as well as do video, etc...

I had just gotten an RTX 3060 laptop when this video came out. So glad to have my choice affirmed from a value-for-money perspective!
I put an extra 100 on top again and went with the 3070 msi and it's a monster
Few minutes ago i bought msi G76 also with a rtx3060, i cant wait to get it in few days!!
is it worth spending 300 more for a 3070 ti?
@@Trevor-Watlington if you play msfs 20, yes
@@mikehorton6433 not op, but thanks for this reply. 🙏🏾
Yo man! Can u request a GOOD gaming laptop in ur opinion?
The jump from the 3060 laptop to the 3070 is insane...almost double
you can buy now and replace after 2 years for this price, the 3060 is more the enough for gaming
and I wouldn't the something weaker then the 3060,the difference in price is not big
3070 on laptops are a scam cause laptops can use 400 watts of power
@@jagason7494 No. No laptop GPU can use 400 watts of power due to thermal constraints
@@kaishajacobye Out of curiosity, what are most components thermally rated up to? I'm trying to get into getting a "gaming" laptop, which is more just a powerful laptop I can use for my job while having the luxury for games during any downtime I have at work. @@FriezaSucks CPUs rate upto 105 degrees celcius depending on CPU. 3000 series GPU are rated upto 87 degrees celcius. Nah, it didn’t, only cp2077 really kill 3060 due to 6Gbs Vram so 3060 got struggle with frame rate. Other than that 3070 is like 15% faster than 3060. Or some game 3060 only 5% slower than 3070 like csgo

I'm looking for a solid mobile workstation -- I type for a living and travel for work, so I often need something that works straight out of the backpack.
What I care about:
1) Durability/Build
2) Built-in 4G LTE (or maybe 5G), anything that can keep me on the internet if I find myself in a place with no wi-fi
3) Battery Life
4) Keyboard Quality
5) Power (it is nice to have that little bit of punch when running multiple applications)
What I don't care about:
1) Gaming performance (I'm a console guy)
2) RGB/Blingy stuff

Some of devs are coming out with games with recommended requirements set at Vram requirements at 6Gb.
I even saw some games that recommended 8 GBs of Vram.
This would mean that there is a good chance that in less than 2 years you won't be able to play games on high settings on the RTX 3060 laptop and in 4 years might not be even able to meet the minimum requirements for some games.
yeah especially if you want to play a game in 1440p instead of 1080p that vram can be really important
Woah an rtx 3700 ti???

Hi pc centric. Currys in the UK are offering the g5 for 700 quid and it's got a 11400 and a 3060 in it. Would you say thats a bargain and one I should go for. Are you using "stock" or optimized versions of the Laptops? Because my g15 with better hardware performs worse than your 3060 but with optimizations..
Probably not gonna get an answer but is 16 gigabytes of ram good? Should I upgrade to 32, im new to gaming on a laptop
"Should you buy a gaming laptop?!"
Because most people that buy it don't need as a laptop and could get a lot more bang for the buck making a miniITX system into a 10l case.

I managed to buy a msi gf63 thin 10UC with a RTX 3050, i5-10500h, 16gb RAM,512gb NVME SSD and a 144hz display for 570 euros
Sounds like you're trying to buy a pre-built PC. DON'T!! They usually suck and have heating issues.
Get RX 6600 instead of RTX 3050.
Also, love the fact you also talk about laptops since it can be a lot more convenient for a lot of people
Check out the Asus ROG G15 with the 6800m
@@mikem2253 thats a fair bit out of my price range. Ideally looking for sonething around £700 to £800 max
Try to aim for a 3060. Something like the gigabyte g5 will destroy the 1660ti.
@@iihamed711 only g5 i see with a 3060 has a 10400h, which isnt what im looking for. Im aiming towards cpu performance and capability first before graphics power
@@mcgamer4474 the difference between 10400h and 5800h is minuscule compared to the difference in gpu performance
Anyone with a Medion Erazer Crawler e10 able to tell me if it's any good? could it run something like Cyberpunk?
I am looking at an Acer nitro 5 with a rtx 4050, 12th gen i5, 16 gb Ram. It costs $1300 AUD or £652. I think it is quite a good deal. What do you think?
Back to the sponsor scan are great next day delivery on most product
Just asking do you think that the GSI GF63 is a good gaming laptop for its price?
what is the downside of it?
The acer nitro 5 seems really good maybe if you tweak it a bit it might become a beast
I bought the MSI katana 17 for college and spent around 2000; I definitely think it’s worth it.
You are really good at this
Out of all troughs laptops were would you rank the asus tuf dash premium
Please, from the bottom of my heart and for everything that is dear to you, DON'T O_O
what about laptops with OLED screens ? are those good for color accurate work ?
Hey Im about to buy my first gaming laptop and I need your help which one is better in gaming performance

Didnt knew andrew Garfield did this in his free time
cyberpunk would glitch your gaming laptop to mars
The G5 is now on sale and has an 11th Gen i5 with the 3060. Just picked one up!
Trust me.. thats literally a portable microwave 💀
@@aldrinantony4145 It does get toasty.
I know the new models are water cooled and literally come with a separate tower for that function. (kind of defeats the purpose of it being a portable system)
Theres always gonna be a trade off some where. More power = more heat.
I'm not a marathon gamer so it doesnt bother me.
@@vent51177 even Microsoft office would make you put it in your portable freezer
