Yes... We were saying in this ride about possibly riding back that way back after Long Bennington but we weren't expecting to not be able to get into along Bennington!
That looked scary in places, you cannot see the pot holes under that brown water! Reminded me of a ride early this year when we faced floods along a country 'C' road. While the group discussed the pros and cons a Range Rover went for it. A few minutes later the Range Rover came reversing back as the floods went for miles across all the fields and he didn't think they would get through. We found a different route and cafe 😁 .
Yes i know what you mean about pot holes. We know those roads quite well though and they are pretty good

Just rode today in the wet and did a video of my SKS X blade 2 fenders i put on , they are excellent

I would normally be happy cycling through most of those. floods like that. But now I have a ebike with di2 shifters, I keep well away from water, don't want to electrocute myself 🤣🤣🤣
I've not actually heard much about Di2 water resistance... I'm sure it must be good

The thing about floods is 1 can’t tell how deep it is 2 there could be a pothole underneath
Yes.. Know what you mean.. Although we went through quite slow and knowing those roads pretty well helps and it's actually quite new tarmac where the deepest was
You know it's deep when your Hambini's underwater 😅 BTW Ian, it's called the Paul Green Rule not the November Mudguard Rule.

Excellent ride Paul, the only problem going though deep flood water apart from getting wet feet is hitting a pot hole hidden under the water.

It was fun.... Certainly wasn't the ride we had planned!
That looked fun, Ian’s style of riding through the puddles made me chuckle. I was the only one out of 4 today with mud guards, I agree with Ian, put them on when it’s wet not what the calendar says and also out of respect for those you ride with too 😅
