Exactly. I've been working diligently for 20+ years honing a particular craft; and it's only just very recently that people are starting to notice and appreciate what I've been doing. Keep your nose to the grindstone and expect no reward - make perfecting the work itself its own reward and you may end up creating something of enduring value. If nothing else, your own character will benefit in the long run.
“We overestimate what we can do in the short term, and underestimate what we can do in the long term” This is why I love UA-cam man, some complete stranger tells you something profound you really needed to hear out of the blue. Dunno if you’re new to this kind of thing man but you’re naturally talented at it, great speaking voice, great presence, you could get paid to do this therapeutically, if you wanted. Cool stuff

I super appreciate it man!
I think while a lot of stuff does take time, it doesn't mean we should limit ourselves; we can do in only a short amount of time.
it's almost an insult to your creativity to think you can only make big changes in the long run when we know that's not true.
