How to make your Na miata have Sleepy Eyes / Wink

Firstly take off your battery terminals before you cause some major issues.
You’ll need
1 or 2 switches of your choosing
12ft of two wires for the passenger side
6ft of two wires for the driver side
Connectors or solder for the wires
So what are you achieving with this project? We’ll if you always wanted to do sleepy eyes on your miata and not wanting to just cut the wire and leave it or mess up your car in any way this is how I’ve done it to keep everything in a working and stock manner.
Essentially what these new switches are doing is cutting the power off going to the headlight motor while it is going in the down position when you flip your new switches. This will pause them wherever you have flipped the switch. Thus creating the sleepy eyes.
If you are doing this for the winking aspect
With both headlights down flip only one of your new switches. Then use the popup button on the center bezel to control just one headlight making the miata wink.
I hope this helped any of you out there trying to make your miata or any other car with pop ups have sleepy eye / wink mod.
