Great video! I recently departed from Midway to Oakland (Southwest) ...non-stop. Midway is perfect for midrange companies like Southwest. From what I saw...Southwest Airlines "OWNS" Midway. Many daily flights to and from the S.F. Bay Area's 3 major airports. Long live Southwest Airlines!
Man ATC killed you guys with the climb maintain altitude clearances. Must have been real busy after the storm that moved through, looks like the air space was limited until you were out over the lake.
That was a very neat video! And what kind of camera do you have your video is one of the clearest I have seen. I can tell you must of been using a tripod because your video was still. I like recording my southwest take offs and landings you can check mine out. I flew over the lake when flying to Cleveland. And I have flown to San Diego. Next year I want to fly to Cleveland, St Louis, and San Diego.
I live very close to this airport :) I might of saw you depart, hahaha jk... But seriously amazing video! And I love the sound of the engines, as well as the rain running off the windows was very cool!
+Roman Zerstoren The first time is to reduce stress on the engine. The following times was to increase speed. There might have been some air traffic to avoid also.
This remains the best midway takeoff on UA-cam
9:27 when the aircraft takes off

10:09 why does it look like a 737 and a falcon collided into eachother on the ground haha
Love the sound of those CFMs on this video.
silicon212 I love the sound of the CFM56-1
Wow, that was excellent.
+Sam Lauricella I fully agree who ever shot this did a great job
No smoking is never allowed onboard the aircraft
Great videos!

+Emil Serafino I fly for SWA. It is very common for MDW departures. ORD dictates the traffic around MDW.
Might as well cruise at 3,000 ft lol.
With fuel stops in Fort Wayne, Columbus (OH), and Morgantown.
Man... I’m hoping my flight doesn’t have to do an emergency landing when I fly to Los Angeles on Wednesday.
I'm sure everyone else feels the same way.
👍♥️so beautiful video really I enjoyed fully dear Best of luck 🌹💗
I’m not sure, but isn’t that the 737-700 livery?
Enjoyed. Subscribed
Spectacular!! The quality of this video is amazing!! What camera are you using? Great engine view! HUGE like from me!
Chicago midway is a big airport
Actually quite tiny by modern standards.....
wow. How did you get this to not be a shaky cam??? Love the video!
Your right next to N238WN during pushback,I flew on that plane once, good shot!

Flew into MDW at dusk the end of May 2017 in similar weather and with not too much turbulance, either. I was amazed how huge Chicagoland was; the street lights just seemed to go on forever into the horizon.
One thing I love about SWA is that the pilot/co-pilot do not dilly-dally around when it comes to getting to the runway for takeoff.
The old classic rock song Born to Be Wild comes to mind:
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway (replace with runway)
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
I like smoke and lightning
Heavy metal thunder
Racin' with the wind
And the feelin' that I'm under
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
(replace with runway)
Lookin' for adventure
And whatever comes our way
Yeah Darlin' go make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born, born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

Such a powerful takeoff!
COOL storm!!
very nice vídeo
Wow, I liked it ✈️
This is awesome. I have the video running off my car’s stereo, so it gives a big feel of actually flying while I’m driving haha
Why they changed engine thrust several times?
+Roman Zerstoren The first time is to reduce stress on the engine. The following times was to increase speed. There might have been some air traffic to avoid also.
Takeoff thrust is for just that....eventually reduced to climb setting....
OMG that F/A needs an energy boost! This is SWA honey!
No kidding. Sounds like she was reading a script
What is an F/A?
dirtbloxxMC flight attendant
Very Mice!
Thanks!
+Taylor Haney NICE**** LOL
