Wow, watching this video of DARTMOOR National Park brought back some amazing memories of my own hiking and wild swimming adventures there! The scenery is truly breathtaking, from the rolling hills to the sparkling rivers and hidden waterfalls. The video captures the essence of the park perfectly, and I love how the creators included footage of their own experiences hiking and swimming in the wild. It's a must-visit destination for anyone who loves the great outdoors and wants to explore the stunning beauty of the UK. Can't wait to plan my next trip back!
Aww 🥰 thanks for the lovely review Melody 🙏🏼❤️ it is such a wonderful part of the country. We are so glad that we could bring back some lovely memories for you! Hope you don’t mind, we’ve pinned your lovely comment 😁
visiting Dartmoor has been on my wishlist since I'd read hound of the Baskervilles in my childhood. very fascinating place
Awesome! Have you visited yet??
We visited Lydford Gorge and Castle and also the Bodin Jail Attraction over the last few days. Thanks for your great videos and trip planning videos.
Oh amazing, nice work Tutti B 🙌🏼 thanks for letting us know 😁 we are currently in the Isle of Wight making a huge “Best Of” video!
😮 Woooow❤
Have you visited??
Another great video, thanks guys. This is my neck of the woods, I live around 15 minutes from Brentor. Recommend visiting the church there at sunset, spectacular views over the rolling countryside. As with much of Dartmoor, it feels like time has stood still. 😊
I bet! We had some wild fog at times, it's such an ever-changing landscape I bet you have seen some amazing sights there! Thanks for watching ❤️
My home. I grew up near Okehampton and remember most of the folklore.
The house where I grew up was called Tor View. If I visit a part of the Moor near Okehampton and look towards where my house should be and on a good day I could see it.
As a kid we used to take picnics and visit the moor for the day. This was a regular occurrence so I ended up loving the Moor. I have a book on all the Tors on Dartmoor. I wanted to try the Ten Tors challenge but because I have problems with my unstable ankle and now have multiple sclerosis it wouldn't be suitable for me.
We would also climb the granite tors.
I recognised the photo of the White Lady Waterfall at Lydford Gorge at the beginning of the video. We also used to visit Lydford regularly on a day trip. Loved Lydford, we used to go on the long walk. But often in the holidays or weekends we would take regular day trips to various places on the Moor.
I live in SW Hampshire now but still think of Dartmoor as home.
That’s beautiful Rachel, thanks for sharing ❤️🙏🏼 it sounds like such a wonderful, outdoorsy childhood. The kind of childhood we all want our kids to have 😍 I hope you get to go back and visit Dartmoor every now and then!
this was a great tour! Thanks!
No worries!! ❤️🙏🏼 glad you enjoyed it!!
I spent many days, weeks and months walking, hiking , orienteering, letterboxing and survival skills in these places. It's almost like going home again. We lived not far off the Moor, and foggington was where also would train , fish, swim and have laughs (there were also tears).
Thank for the flashbacks.
Thanks Wes, glad you appreciated the flashbacks 😊 it’s a wonderful place that’s for sure!!
Really loved welcoming you both to The Old Railway Cottage. Great to see that you got out and explored so much of Dartmoor even though you got a dose of good old Dartmoor rain! Hope to see you back some day. Becky xxx
Thanks Becky ❤️🙏🏼😊 as you can tell we had such a wonderful time. Being right in Lydford was such a nice surprise too! We will be back I’m sure 😉

If you visit our home take your litter away please. Yes I do actually need to say that.
Take only photographs, leave nothing but footprints 💚
@@cjexplores I'm lucky enough to live within a mile of your quarry visit. And each February we organise a litter walk of our parish. It's usually 8 full bin liners....
@@MassiveLib oh wow! We have to do the same thing on our Newquay beaches where we live. What is wrong with people??? 🤯
@@cjexplores I can only think it's out of sight out of mind. I did an experiment once at a place I worked. In the car park was a skip, there was litter in it, but also around it on the ground. So one day I picked up all the litter and put it in the skip. I watched the next person throw their rubbish towards the skip, they couldn't be bothered to walk right up to it. They noticed once it hit the ground that theirs was the only litter there. So they walked up and put it into the skip. Make of that psychology what you like. P. S your boyfriend is nuts.....
@@MassiveLib great experiment! It’s the social pressure of being the only one in the wrong as opposed to being part of a greater group all doing the same thing. We are all accomplices in what we allow around us. He is a bit wacko isn’t he 😂
When did you go there? During the winter?
Yes, middle of February 😊
watter fal
Beauty fal 😝
Did you have permission to fly the drone on Dartmoor?
We used stock footage 👀
Stock footage with you in the shot?
@@gamevidz6319 yeah, using motion tracking and compositing in After Effects 😉
@@cjexplores I guess the controller in your hands was CGI?
Bingo, that’s our attention to detail shining through again! 🤯👌🏼
