The symbolism in where Levi is apprehended and questioned by Erwin is on point, especially when Erwin was knelt down in front of Levi. Erwin knelt down on the pool of dirt without thinking twice, it just shows the kind of person he is. He's not afraid of getting dirty if it's for the cause he believes in. And this type of personality trait of Erwin will be more evident as the anime series progresses. And then there's that evident gap between him and Levi, which signifies distance as they do not yet see eye to eye. Sorry for the rambling. Just wanted to have my peace on that shot of Erwin and Levi. They're by far my favourite dynamic on the series, especially with how Levi goes from "I will kill you" to "I trust your judgement without question". Then there's Erwin who has complete faith in Levi's skills. They're just a beast duo, imo. Great reaction! Can't wait for pt.2🔥🔥🔥

Some fans speculate that this is why Levi is shorter and paler than the others due to lack of nutrients from the sun. There is a lot that is still left unsaid about the underground, but we will have to wait and see if it will play a future part in the manga. Levi was raised by a man named Kenny. I will leave it at that because I do not like spoilers. But this is just information for those who do not know anything about Levi or his general past. 😎
