I guess I kind of did a bad job in the video I just took a cable wire, anything that will fit will work, and pushed it up the drain hole until it got the clog out
I pushed the cord in about two-and-a-half feet from the bottom and I believe that's where the clog was because a few pine needles and other things came out and after that it has flowed good ever since
Be careful when clearing rear sunroof drain via entering up through the drain outlet near rear wheel - this method worked, but I accidentally punctured the hose / tube & now have a leak above the interior B pillar. So will have to now get the entire drain hose replaced.
Oh man that sucks! I didn't show it in the video but I popped off the c-pillar so I can feel the brush going through. I pretty much live in the forest so mine need cleaned every other year
I read somewhere else (after I mucked mine up using gardening wire) that using a strimmer / whipper snipper plastic cord is safer to use, but when I tried that to try & find the rear drain hole (hoping the cord would pop out so I can see where to temporarily seal the rear drain at the sunroof level) the damn strimmer cord then got stuck some in the gubbins 😫
I have the exact model (right hand drive) but can u suggest me, i have cleaned all the drain and they are working perfectly but whenever i clean the car or it rains the front passenger roof liner gets a little moist/wet… i have unclogged the drain 4 times in a month but the roof liner gets a little moist everytime
The drain hose slips over a plastic fitting that attaches to the sunroof and I'm going to guess that those have slipped off or aren't tight as they need to be
I have recurring clogs in my a3, it’s so frustrating! I searched everywhere for a video like this. Thank you!!
You're welcome
Ugh this is the EXACT issue I’m having on my 2016 q5 & this was super helpful!
Glad it helped!
That’s amazing!!! I have the same issue with my Audi Q7!!! Do you live in Florida?
I live a bit further north than florida, I can practically see Canada
Nice job guy. Very interesting also for my A4. I don't understand how you cleaned the rear ones.....help me. Thanks from Italy.

@@96ej Okay clear. So it's impossible to go from above?
@@flint0107 I won't say that it's impossible but on this car I absolutely couldn't see where the drain was

@@96ej Okay. Also on A4 avant impossible to see the rear drainage holes. I will try from below to verify their status. Thanks guy, very helpful
