    We love our flip-up kitchen counter too. However, my husband raised our flip-up counter above the electric receptacles. So it is now level with the sink countertop. Now it is perfect.
    As far as the lagoon table, we would not like the lagoon table at the door either. It is ok at the cab seats but we prefer between the bed in the back.

I love the looks of the Grech and the quality BUT as many have said too pricey Ford transit is still a good quality vehicle we own one repairs are cheaper and we like that it's not a diesel I know diesels have their perks but everyone is different and another option I think people would like just my opinion not being snarky love your videos

    The 2023 Grech Strada Ion has my vote for sure. I especially appreciate the locked plug-ins on the outside because they are functional and attractive. I like the mirror inside too. Just an idea...what about a pull out mirror that can be positioned outside the bathroom? Us gals like pie BUT the a mirror is even better than pie. Oh wait, did I just say that? I liked the old flip up counter extension better than the new lagoon table, also. However, I always thought the flip up table looked like it was mounted too low. Maybe Gretch could mount the flip up as high as possible and still have a lagoon table bracket lower. Then you could use the back table up front occasionally.

    Well, we bought a Grech Ion Tour on the long chassis. Your videos help us a lot with the tips you gave,and how to pack our stuff from a similar size travel trailer into the Grech.
    Did you put any kind of protectant on the white leather captain seats?..If so what kind? I don’t think it’s real leather, but it feels great.
    I too am hesitant about a wet bath, like Michelle, but there seems to be more room in the Grech than out travel trailer with the ‘dry bath’. I mostly miss the cabinets in the bathroom to store our bath items. But I’ve put in some ‘Command Strip’ items to hold shampoo, soap, and squeegee. So we’ll see how it goes on out ‘maiden voyage’ trip. My husband mostly used the campground showers and I always used our camper bathroom. We love the storage inside the rest of the Grech van. I tried to pack things in a manner to lessen rattles…which is something you never hear with a travel trailer.
    My last question is did you buy any sort of protectant mat or circles to cover the cooking area for the induction range? We bought a special pot and pan for it. We also bought a mat to cover the entire surface of the range. My husband is afraid to use the stove top with the induction mat (it’s a special silicone made to put the pot directly on while cooking on it) although that is what it’s made for. Any advice here?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Рік тому +1

      We just use a leather cleaner. Most are not 100% leather but we agree, the quality is extremely good and so soft
      We have never had issues with the stove top scratching while cooking but we usually just rip off a paper town to lay on the surface when setting anything else on it.

    Love that they moved the outlets to a more useful location on each bedside.
    Definitely prefer the lighter interior also. When we toured them we immediately noticed how much bigger the lighter option felt.
    For the wet bath, is there a way that one could hang a shower curtain to contain the wet a bit better? And would that be useful? In some truck campers we’ve seen a circular shower curtain hanger.
    Thanks for the update. Fridge looks greatly improved.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  2 роки тому +1

      There is a curtain that comes straight across but not in a circle, that would probably make it feel even smaller though. We really haven’t had any issues with containing the wet. We feel that it is very simple to squeegee and dry up the way it is.

      Interesting, when we had the 2022 model that did have that same table, the only time we noticed a rattle is when it was not latched properly. Must be something wrong with yours because that’s not normal. It should be under warranty.

  • @haldevera
    @haldevera 2 роки тому +1

    With the second lagun table you could raise it above the counter and turn it to be over the counter top, when not in use. That would obviate the need to store it in the closet.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  2 роки тому

      We did try that and it was not mounted high enough to do that and would have to move the bracket. You also would need to be very careful with the metal arm below the table that would easily scratch the countertop if you didn’t get it secured tight enough or accidentally swung it over while not having it high enough. The issue with raising the bracket is then it would not adjust low enough for use outside to which it already is not low enough to use outside. We tried and when you put the table down low, it will not tighten enough to hold the arm/leg secured to the bracket. There would need to be a longer or double stacked bracket.

    Very nice Class B. It looks like they use great material, and the layout and appearance inside and out looks really nice. I think I’d put the bedding away so I could use the couch during the day, otherwise where do you sit, in the front seats? I’m sure they’re comfortable, but I’d rather use the couch area. You could always install an aftermarket folding side table by the door. Or maybe the company has one available from last years model they never used? Thank you for the tour.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  2 роки тому

      That’s just it, Michelle sit’s face n the back all day while working and I sit in the front and work, both 5 days a week and then we usually get out until bedtime. When we watch TV in the evening, it is much more comfortable for us to tilt the couch up some (it’s a power seat) and lay in bed like a chase to watch tv. Much more comfortable than sitting there. “For us” it works better. We keep saying this but it’s true…it’s really a traveling office for us and gets us from place to place for our travels. We are doing this to travel not to sit at home like we would at a house. If we were retired and didn’t work so much, then we would probably want to do things a little differently. The very few times we have had someone over, we then remove the bedding to sit around the table. (Twice since March). Hope that helps make more sense.

It took me three nights to finish it was such a large slice! Go to Panorama Orchards in Ellijay for fried Apple Pie and fresh apples to buy. Given the battery capacity is the same as the 2022, other than the electrical system being slightly less complicated did Grech give you a reason why they switched to the two 630ah batteries instead of the four 315ah? Maybe the total weight is just a tad less? Interesting on the small flip up table, we were thinking of adding that to our 2022 to Terreno-Ion since ours has both front and rear mounts but we never use the lagoon table in the front, as you stated, it’s very inconvenient. As for the refrigerator, we love having the larger refrigerator with the pull out drawer on the bottom. We don’t mind the smaller freezer since we pretty much only have ice in it anyway. We also mounted a mirror on the inside of our bathroom door, but we added a 48” x 12“ mirror since given its height it couldn’t be centered but works quite well.

    Hi Guys- I love your informative videos! Thanks for all of the thoughtful advice. We were leaning towards a Class C - but after watching your numerous videos on the Grech Strada ION, we are sold on the Grech. I was wondering if you could post the manufacturers spec sheet for the Grech that you are driving. I would like to purchase one with basically the same options and features if possible. What are the specs on your battery power system? I like how you said you did not need propane or a generator. This is terrific! Also - your comments about the Airstream Interstate helped us decide not to get the Airstream Interstate - which we were originally leaning towards. We live in Maryland and have not found a Grech Strada Ion very close… Nashville has one but that is about 680 miles from us… Thank you for sharing all of your insights. - Sincerely - Mel

Do the air bags in the back perform that function? I know there are no jacks installed. Do you just carry leveling blocks? And is the 2023 suspension upgrade a deal breaker vs buying a 2022?

      The van does not level when you are at a campsite, it only adjusts as you are driving. The first Grech we had, used VB Air and now Grech is using Kelderman. We both like the Kelderman much better in the 2023 models due to the better ride.

As for “cost of ownership” all depends on how long someone owns said RV. Traveling for six months in an RV, without having any issues is unheard of in the new RV industry, which makes our input very valuable to others, interested in buying the same model. Many of our viewers and friends stay at most of the same campgrounds as we do and if we ever had any problems, they would be the first to know and share with others.
